What an eccentric woman she was but the loss of child and hubby had quite an impact on the rest of her life. Bless her heart. I could never go in this maze of a house - too claustrophobic!!! I hope this woman is resting in peace with her child & husband.
I remember learning about all the architectural marvels and oddities, and technological and agricultural advancements in this home. And it’s really cool that rooms are still being found. The picture of its original 7 stories is really remarkable and it really is amazing that even 4 stories survived the quake.
Great video! I saw this house in 1971 and it is still my favorite of everything I've seen in my 68 years. I'm also a fan of guns so enjoyed the history of the Winchester rifle. The tour was over 2 miles long, and I was pretty tired after climbing all those "easy riser" stairs, but oh so worth it!
This place is amazing. Ive seen many photos before but you have shown different ones and things in a way I have never seen them before. The woodwork and craftsmanship here is unreal. These workers were truly masters as everything was done by hand and their skills are shown here. Thanks Jordan this place is truly fantastic!!!
I made the tour with my parents back in 1955. In those days, you drove up and parked in the back yard by the carriage house. There were no regular tours if I recall and the entire cost for our family (4 people) was something like $20. One of the caretakers took us through the entire house. Amazing place.
O my, I just wrote about my experience in the early ‘50s. It was better then. They didn’t have all the safety rails. Much more spooky. I was about 14 or 15 then😻
Always wanted to see the Winchester House. I think a lot of people would choose this as a top place to visit. Such a beautiful place full of amazing details. The house on it’s own tells a story. Such a work of art. Love the technique you used to tour the interior. Feels like I’ve actually been there. This must of been a monumental task to edit and narrate. You’ve done such an awesome job. Thanks Jordan for your hard work and talent! Super Great vlog!
Great video! The window in the floor from 12:59 was actually meant to provide air conditioning to those areas of the house. Sarah designed it herself for that functional purpose since the air conditioning devices we use today obviously did not exist at the time. I learned this neat fact when I took a tour of the Winchester House a year ago or so, in case anyone is wondering :)
My daughter in law's great grandfather created some of the stainless windows in the house. He mainly worked in San Francisco but became part of it through his craft. Most beautiful. Been on a private tour into rooms now just being shown to the public. Truly an amazing artistic historical house.
Thank u for taking as many photos as possible. I'd love to visit Sarah's house 1 day. My favorite hobby during my spare time, I surf the web for 3D walk through mansions, Victorian gothic houses, etc... I have about 47 places bookmarked. A big thanks to Matterport! I did come across a 3D walk through version of the Winchester house, but I had to subscribe & pay to walk through it, & that's why I just RUclipsd the house & came across ur video. U did an excellent job photographing each detail & ur narration was well done! Thanks again for it!
Wow, wow, wow!!!!! This was one of the best vlogs! I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this trip with you and Breck and Jah. I have always been fascinated with this house and would never have had the opportunity to see it if not for you. Being disabled I could never have seen this amazing home so thank you for taking me along with you guys! The house is amazing and beautiful and interesting. The windows and the spider webs are amazing and the steps how they wind around and the doors that lead to nowhere are fabulous! How exciting to be able to see all the wonders this house has to offer. This was a special treat for me, so thank you so very much for taking me along! Very very special #999 for sure! Thank you again for this amazing trip.
Fun fact: Sarah Winchester and the story of this house were the inspiration for Stephen King's, Rose Red. If you haven't seen the movie, Rose Red, you should check it out. You will see all of the similarities between the two.
Jordan, you are the ultimate tour guide! What an exquisite home! Despite all the bizarre quirks, she had impeccable taste. A woman after my own heart and what an era for fashion, decor, etc. I am a new-ish subscriber so I'm catching up on your older stuff. Gotta say, no one does this as well as you. You put your heart and soul into every video. Thank you for a stellar tour that really felt like I was there.
Thank you for going. It's also on my bucket list. A long time ago a movie called Rose Red was very loosely based on the Winchester house. Very good movie also long it's a 2 partner. Well worth watching.
My mom told me about this house back when I was a kid in the 60's. Thanks so much for the awesome tour! The house is absolutely fabulous & your pics made me feel like I was part of the tour. I love all the stained glass & lead beaded windows, and the architecture is amazing. Now I know what someone does with money to burn. 🔥
Sharon Warren - Now you know how " GREEDY PEOPLE " spend their money... they " burn their money, " so they can burn in hell... cause the GREEDY PEOPLE don' t contribute to helping poor people.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! This was a fantastic vlog. I saw your bucket list video a long time ago. I'm glad you got to mark this one off. I saw the movie about the house. The details are incredible. You have outdone yourself. One of the best!! Cant wait for 1000th. Much love to you and Jah ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Wow! What a wonderful tour you gave us Jordan! Thank you very much! I really felt like I was right there with you in person. Don't recall ever hearing about this home, but I love things like this! And, would most likely never have the opportunity to see it! The museum was amazing also. Looking forward to seeing more of your work!
Loved seeing the inside of this house up close & personal Jordan. This is an awesome one for #999 . I always thought it was so sad she didn't fill this home with adopted children after her child & husband passed away.
That was AMAZING, Jordan! What a feat for that woman to accomplish! I'd be afraid of getting lost in there, but I suppose the guy that ran the tour has done it many, many times and probably STILL has to keep a map of the place in his pocket. Thank you so much!
I totally loved this from beginning to end! Your commentary flowed well as your pictures told the story. My favorite was the tiny corner, 100 yo sink, and the original stairs from their 1st house. You just keep out-doing yourself Jordan, thanks for taking me along. 😎 Hi Breck! 😊
💋Awesome vlog Jordan! This is going into the category of one of favorites. You are such a natural storyteller. I could see you being a great director especially of stage performing. Thanks again. Love and Light 💖Carli
I am so glad to see that they now have all those lovely Tiffany windows out on display with lights behind them. They used to just have them all stacked together behind glass and no light could shine through them. They show you more of the house than they used to. They told us that no one knew where the original front door is because she has built on to the house so much. Great vlog. I've always loved this house. I didn't live too far from here and I could get discount tickets for it. So went there a lot when someone was in from out of town. I'm glad to see they show more than they used to. I think it's a great house and I hope Sarah is at rest now. Thanks for bringing us here. Safe travels and take care.
Incredible! I've studied and watched about as much as I can find about this house over the last 20 yrs of my life because this kind of stuff is what I'm interested in. You did a great job telling us in pictures. Your narrative is fabulous! Thanks for putting this together for us, Jordan. I so appreciate it. Well done!
Jordan - hey my friend, thank you for this! I was there a few years ago. You gave me a LOT more information than I knew from my research! I’m heading back. THANKS!!!!
Wow what a great place and a great vlog. You did an amazing job I really enjoyed it this way. You can really take in each detail this way. Thanks for taking us on yet another fun adventure Jordan💙
Oh, this was especially fun today, Jordan! I've heard of this crazy house and always wanted to see it. Jah's such a good little car rider........thanks for taking him along. Blessings from Missouri!
That was an amazing vlog. It was so interesting. I thought I knew the history of the Winchester House but you imparted so much more information than I had heard before. Taking photos does not deter from your vlogs at all. At times I believe it helps so you can study them. Going to miss seeing Breck when he moves away. Thanks you both
Sarah Winchester most definitely gives meaning to the word “eccentric” 🧐🤪 but very cool little lady lol!! Thanks Jordan, Breck and Jah for another great adventure 👍🏻❤️
I am still amazed by this one! You did an amazing job narrating this one and must have taken you a great deal of time to edit but you certainly nailed it! Oh and the shot of Jah sitting on Brecks lap and looking at you is precious!! I will miss Breck for sure in your daily vlogs, please tell him I wish him the best in his new state and hope to see him again. You out did yourself on this one, very well done! Thank you again
What a great vlog with just the still pictures. It looks like a video with still pictures as it looks like you captured every bit of the walk through that you did. Excellent commentary and yes a beautiful house indeed!
How cool of you to do this blog!! I remember multiple trips to northern cal as a kid (60’s/70’s!) always passing the signs to The Winchester House, we never stopped! Thank you!
I’ve been watching all your videos and I have to say this one was my fave. Maybe I’m biased because this is in my city. 10 minutes from my house and about a 2 minute walk to my office. San Jose is a very cool place with a rich history. Hope you enjoyed your time here!!
Thanks for sharing...! NOTE: There’s a great book about her called “Captive of the Labyrinth” it shed a a lot of light about her and the awesome woman she was as well as debunks a lot of the stories about her. Well worth the read. I’ve been to the house a few times over the years and love it. Glad you liked it.
WOW this was truly a treat.I heard of this house and thanks to you I got to see quite a bit.I personally couldn't live in a house like that because it's to much but to tour it is another thing. Thank you Jordan for another great vlog. I have been meaning to ask you this but where did you get your beaded bracelet from? Once again Jordan thank you.
Thank you for the great video and pictures! I felt like I was there. I will never be fortunate to get to some of these places. Grateful for people like you who do this.
I've always been curious about this house because of the unusual story behind it. This is the best documentary about it that I have seen. Thank you for showing so many pictures and telling the history so well.
You did an amazing job with this. It's clear how much attention to detail you paid to help us all feel like we've been there. I've always been fascinated by this home. Thank you!
So excited when I saw this vlog this morning! I have always wanted to visit the Winchester Mystery house. Even as a picture vlog it was still amazing. Thank you so much for this! 🤗
Hi Jordan, Jah and Breck. I really enjoyed the Vlog thank you for sharing your tour of the Winchester House with us 🦁❤️! I hope that ya have fun on your trip 🐕😎🚗
I’m just now seeing this & you did a wonderful job with your photos. Everything was so easy to look at. Can you just imagine what those Tiffany windows would be worth? I like all the colors in the house. Thank you for this wonderful tour.
I remember riding in the backseat of my parents car back in the early 1960’s that house gave me the creeps back then. Great video you took away the bad juju from my childhood 👍🏻
Great vlog Jordan! Watched the movie "Winchester" with Helen Mirren a few days ago and your journey brought that amazing home to life. Thanks for another great vlog - there's no place like home 😊
GREAT JOB.. I really enjoyed that. I'm disabled as well and I wouldn't have never walked that much. My husband loves winchester rifles. Thanks again for the tour.
The house tour was fascinating, a curious combination of creative and crazy, and the history, including the antique elements, is so interesting..., seems like a tour of that gigantic meandering house would last all day..., but the adorable little puppy face in the crook of your arm was the cutest.
Hi Jordan, wow, such lovely scenery on the way there. I thought the Tiffany windows were absolutely gorgeous and the Ballrooms. Oh my, imagine having to clean all of that. What a remarkable place. Great vlog Jordan.
I love history especially when it involves amazingly beautiful architecture. I love ghost stories and Sarah Winchester sounded like a caring employer with an amazing eye for detail. Apparantly she despised foul language too (it made me chuckle with glee when I read this). Would love to spend the night in that house and wouldn't be scared one bit . I find comfort in the fact she still lives and roams in the house she took so much pride in and had so much love for. Thank you for this wonderful video 😘
That home is amazing! Can you imagine ordering everything? Wallpaper, furniture, art, books, incredible. And I love that she was kind and generous. Great video.
I first learned about this house via a Hardy Boys book (many years ago) about a "similar" house, so neat to see in real life. Really enjoyed learning about all the amazing details. Glad you got to visit. Great photos, great narration, fun all around. Thanks for taking us along.
Yoooo i remember that episode (it was turned into a series, also Nancy drew had one too which I first of a house like this from one of the Nancy drew books) If you're into retro stuff, the British avengers series has a episode called " the house that jack built " which was the first thing I thought of seeing this house.
The Winchester house is as lovely as Sarah and the beauty of the whole estate kinda takes ones breath away because of its scope in size. You did a fantastic job vlogging it from its many angles!! The Tiffany stained glass is spectacular!! Her networth was like 20 million which back then was really like being a billionaire!! Good lord can't even wrap my mind around Even having a million! 😂 I hope she was at peace when she passed or if her spirit still roams the many rooms that she is pleased with the renovation work.
Thank you. Awesome experience you took us on. You are really good at narration, too.I enjoy the odd bits of insight and knowledge you add to your videos. Please, keep them coming.
Wow that's a awesome surprise. The house is amazing, loved all the details everything is stunning. You did incredible job with the research and video editing. Amazing job Jordan. Taking photos must be newish so glad you got to see it.
SO glad I just watched this video. My wife and I are on vacation and when I found out this house is in San Jose, Just HAD to see it. Has been on my bucket list ever since I found out about it a few years ago. We live in Michigan, Winter in Southern Texas and are currently traveling around in our camper and the coastline of California is among 22 of our campgrounds in several states. Now I know a little of what to expect to see tomorrow. (April 29,2022). We also bought tickets for the "Explore More Tour" afterwards.
I love love LOVE watching your videos Jordan. You made my move from Colorado to California feel a lot more like home and now I have DOZONS of cool places to take my pals. Keep up the good work and don’t let anyone get you down!
Great job! There are actually 13 bathrooms, the window in the floor is a skylight, that wasn't the original stove, and the first "ballroom" you showed is actually the morning room.
Thank you it was great, I've read sbout this house and her story. This was more dealtailed. Loved it. Congratulations on ur 1,000 tomorrow. You,Breck and Jah make a great team. 🙌
Thanks for posting! I lived in Sunnyvale in the early 80's and that was when I toured the house. This is the first I have seen it since. Thank you again, this brings back memories!🍸
Thank you for this tour. I live in the southeast and have only recently heard about the Winchester House. This is the best tour I've found. I find myself wondering if you felt disoriented as you went through the house or if your sense of direction remained intact. I'm adding this house to my bucket list.
I have been confined to a wheelchair this past year due to a deterioationg hip and not sure if I will ever walk again. But either way its very doubtful that I would of gotten the chance to visit this extraordinary house and I always wanted to, so thank you so much!!! Your filming and commentary was awesome, just like being there!!! I will be looking for more!!! ~ L.Moon
One of my bucket list places too, thank you for sharing it! You'd think growing up in SoCal I'd have gotten there at some point but it just never happened. Now I have to travel there from S.E. Idaho, hopefully sooner than later lol
I am very grateful to find your channel, thank you so much for uploading this. I am very enjoyed watching every video tour you made over there since its so far to go there.

I've seen many WH documentarys, vlog, however, this is by far the best reflection of the Architecture and Firearms Museum! Thank you!

Well done , as always. You never disappoint! Fantastic photography. Is it just me or does Jah keep getting cuter everyday?
Can’t wait for 1,000. 😃
Yep, he does
That was AMAZING, Jordan!
Hi Breck! 😊
💋Awesome vlog Jordan! This is going into the category of one of favorites. You are such a natural storyteller. I could see you being a great director especially of stage performing. Thanks again. Love and Light 💖Carli

This place should be on everyone's bucket list !! I'm so glad you went there. Wonderful narration and pictures.
This made my day! This too is on my bucket list. I’m so glad that you vlogged this for #999. What a wonderful experience!

The sinks in the laundry room have a built in slanted washboard, how clever! I want one (18:53)
Sarah Winchester most definitely gives meaning to the word “eccentric” 🧐🤪 but very cool little lady lol!! Thanks Jordan, Breck and Jah for another great adventure 👍🏻❤️

Who is Breck?
What a great vlog with just the still pictures. It looks like a video with still pictures as it looks like you captured every bit of the walk through that you did. Excellent commentary and yes a beautiful house indeed!
This showed up on my feed and I truly enjoyed it. I had read many articles on this house and glad for your tour. New subscriber. Thank you.

Wow you all are so lucky to live in a place with so much rich history. I would lose my mind trying to figure out which place to visit every day
Way Kwel to be so close! @AlexandreaDiminique
I used to work there in the cafe about 30 years ago during the summer months while I was a student at San Jose state university.

OMG!!! What a fabulous vlog. Wonderful to relive the tour thru your eyes. Thanks Jordan, Jah and Breck. Also, Shelley was in the movie WINCHESTER 76.
Yep, with Jimmy stewart
$1,000 a day circa 1900? That's the equivalent of about $30,000 A DAY today! 🤯
$1000 a month, not every day.
For my cointrys currency it is ten times of 30. 000 dollars. 😱😱 As a teacher, i make 400,dollars a month🤧🤧🤧
@@nonjabiznas its actually in one day.
I've always been curious about this house because of the unusual story behind it. This is the best documentary about it that I have seen. Thank you for showing so many pictures and telling the history so well.

I grew up 11 minutes away from Winchester house, I went to it back in 1976.i also knew people who worked there as a tour guide.
You did a beautiful job! I felt like I was along on the tour with you 😃
Thank you
You are very talented 👍
I remember riding in the backseat of my parents car back in the early 1960’s that house gave me the creeps back then. Great video you took away the bad juju from my childhood 👍🏻

Fascinating! The architecture and interior decor is beautiful. Enjoyed this vlog very very much!

Beautiful house and gardens ! Thank you for the experience ! Jordan ! :-)
Got to say the photo vlog works really well Jordan maybe we'll get to see some new places now... ☺
I first learned about this house via a Hardy Boys book (many years ago) about a "similar" house, so neat to see in real life. Really enjoyed learning about all the amazing details. Glad you got to visit. Great photos, great narration, fun all around. Thanks for taking us along.
Yoooo i remember that episode (it was turned into a series, also Nancy drew had one too which I first of a house like this from one of the Nancy drew books)
If you're into retro stuff, the British avengers series has a episode called " the house that jack built " which was the first thing I thought of seeing this house.
I’ve really wanted to see the Winchester House. Thank you so much Jordan!! 😊 Looking forward to seeing the next walk around!
Thank you Jordan for coming to my city!! I live close to this amazing landmark!👏🏻♥️🤗

I have seen many videos about The Winchester Mansion, but yours is by far the very best. I like these kind of videos.

Nicely done! I'm glad you decided to go and share it with is.
Great vlog! Just went there yesterday! Such a bizarre & amazing experience at the same time!
Love how you read the plaque. Most people might show the plaque for 2 seconds.
Good lord can't even wrap my mind around
Even having a million! 😂 I hope she was at peace when
she passed or if her spirit still roams the many rooms that she is pleased with the renovation work.
Wow, what a sight to see, thank you so much!
I have always wanted to see more of the Winchester House, thank you so much from Germany!
This was awesome! Thank you for all of the photos and great narration of the WMH.
Thank you it was great, I've read sbout this house and her story. This was more dealtailed. Loved it. Congratulations on ur 1,000 tomorrow. You,Breck and Jah make a great team. 🙌
Sounds like a construction worker gave her the advice to never stop building lol 😂
I love your videos 👍🏻
Thanks for posting! I lived in Sunnyvale in the early 80's and that was when I toured the house. This is the first I have seen it since. Thank you again, this brings back memories!🍸
One of the most interesting places. She was a fascinating and complex woman. Great vlog Jordan and I enjoyed all the pictures!
Great video! This is on my bucket list. Thanks for bringing us along with you : )
Thank you for this tour. I live in the southeast and have only recently heard about the Winchester House. This is the best tour I've found. I find myself wondering if you felt disoriented as you went through the house or if your sense of direction remained intact. I'm adding this house to my bucket list.
Love seeing places like this. House of Seven Gables in Salem Mass reminds me of this house. Great Vlog!
You are so right!! I Love Salem, Mass! 😉

I have been confined to a wheelchair this past year due to a deterioationg hip and not sure if I will ever walk again. One of my bucket list places too, thank you for sharing it! You'd think growing up in SoCal I'd have gotten there at some point but it just never happened. Now I have to travel there from S.E. Idaho, hopefully sooner than later lol
I wouldn't wait forever.. You never know what mother nature will do next
