I’m pretty sure you can get one of the new Xbox controllers and it will connect to older Xbox’s, my Xbox one s broke so I had to get one someone already used and I think it the first model of Xbox but I use my Xbox one s controller for it

The controller will blink slowly at first but if you hold the pair button again, it will blink at the same speed as the Xbox. Now the Xbox controller will pair to your Xbox! If you have some headphones, try hooking them up to the controller instead of the phone.
Every time I turn on my controller , it turns on my Xbox and when I try to connect it to my iPhone, the option doesn’t pop up and I have the newer version of the controller
