Thank you so much. This is absolutely amazing. I have these jeans that I don't wanna send back because they're slightly too big but they are gorgeous. You are amazing!
Thank you so much for this. I’m of the shape waisty and no hips; this method is awesome. For my body type. I’ve been using hair bands in the button holes, but this method only gives a little, and you wind up with gap at the top of the zipper. Again, thanks!
Thank you for sharing this. I'm a very rectangle shape with little difference between my hips and waist and pants are always too tight on my waist. This was fantastic!
A big G'day from Brisbane Australia! I love your content, so thank you so much for this video. I love both resizing methods and I'm excited to try them. I have so many good pairs of jeans I can't wear because I've stacked on the menopausal belly over the last few years. Resizing my jeans will save me heaps of money now.
Just stumbled upon your video and was surprised at how easy you made it look. I think this will help me because I have an apron belly, and once I get my jeans over that it is difficult to get them done up and be comfortable. Thanks for sharing this. 😊🇨🇦
i will try this. i have the dreaded high hip and that has aways made jeans shopping a nightmare for me. now i can purchase jeans knowing i can adjust them. i really like how discreet this can look. thank you for this.
This is a very timely video. I'm an apple shape and often times the waist is very snug. I have some jeans I just hemmed so I will try this technique. Thank you so much.
I would love to see how you alter jeans that dint quite cover ple plumbers Crack when one sits down. Most of mine are elastic waist and too long in front and not enough to cover the junk in the trunk when skiing thanks hugs
Would you do this the same way for stretchy pants? I have some bamboo maternity joggers from my last pregnancy but they’re tight this time around. They fit my legs just not by growing belly😅
@@NotchesSewingit has a string not an elastic band!! It’s made of bamboo though so the material of the pants itself is very stretchy. I’m just at the end of the stretch! lol
What can I do if the problem is not on the waist, but on the hip?? How can I make ir bigger? Or this method can help on this case? I have 90's vintage jeans and they are too tight on the hips and I don't know if there is a solution.
You can use this method but make the piece long enough past your hips if you don't mind having that look. Otherwise you will have to add a matching piece of denim.

I have (true) blue jeans I have kept since the 80s that have no stretch to them at all! This idea is perfect!! Thank you!

Thanks for watching😊
I would love to see how you alter jeans that dint quite cover ple plumbers Crack when one sits down. Most of mine are elastic waist and too long in front and not enough to cover the junk in the trunk when skiing thanks hugs
You could just topstitch another waistband on top of the existing one. Just narrow it out to nothing past the sides.
What is they are right in waist but way big in hips area can you do a tutorial for that please🙏🏾
I’ll put on my list of requests- you need to taper hip area
Great tutorial. Watching from Greece
Thank you😊
Oklahoma. Great job.
Hi from Australia! Thanks for watching 😊
Hello from the South East of England! This is great, can it be done on non stretch skirts that aren’t made of denim ? Thanks
Yes of course!
@@NotchesSewing Thank you 😊
BTW Hi from Australia🙂
Would you do this the same way for stretchy pants? I have some bamboo maternity joggers from my last pregnancy but they’re tight this time around. They fit my legs just not by growing belly😅
You can, but I would recommend replacing with a longer elastic around the waist.
@@NotchesSewingit has a string not an elastic band!! It’s made of bamboo though so the material of the pants itself is very stretchy. I’m just at the end of the stretch! lol
Ah ok. This will work or you can also add a piece of stretchy fabric
Can you make a version showing how to do this with hand sewing? Sadly I don’t own a sewing machine ;)
If you look up whipstitch, just follow same instructions and do that.
Not that I’m thin, but my jeans stretch out within a few minutes of wearing, do you have a video on taking them up an inch or two?
Have a look at this and I also have a pant hem video on my channel as well. ruclips.net/video/IfvUnjMaEpU/видео.html
