For 1080p gaming, the new RDNA based iGPU handhelds seem to give full size desktops a run for their money. Future of gaming desktops is pretty much on deathwatch I think medium term to long term.
Oh? You think this tech will replace big beefy gaming PCs with dedicated GPUs? what's the software you're using to see your PC proformace in the little window on ht top left of the screen?
MSI Afterburner. I made a vid about it!

What is the static contrast ratio? You stated the contrast ratio is 100,000:1, which sounds like the dynamic contrast ratio.
Im basic when it comes to games. I had a $300 monitor from walmart it was 144hz and i had a desktop gaming pc that had 1650 super nvida and a ryzen 5. The graphics was "ok" but all i played was overwatch and COD warzone or mw2. Those r the games i play. My question is i dont have a pc but i have $800 and still have all my components except my desktop. Should i buy this and use it as a daily desktop gaming pc? Until i save $1500 for a 3060ti ryzen 7 a year or 2 from now? Thank you!!!!
If your planning to dock it you mine as well buy a external GPU.
Then what is bang for the buck this days? Cause I've been planning on buying Ally and just putting it in dock mode most of the time
If you're gonna leave it docked a prebuilt with a GTX 1650 or a 1650 laptop could be found for about $100 cheaper. Or if you want to spend a bit more you could get an RTX 3050 laptop that would outperform the Ally.
Can you plug it in tv as the monitor? using your set up? Or are you gonna need the rog ally dock?
Yup you can. No you don't need the ROG dock, any USB-C to HDMI adapter will work.
You can charge the ROG while outputng USB-C to HDMI at the same time using that single USB-C port?
Plz upgrade hp8200 tower upgrade graphics card gtx 1660s and case in 320w psu
I got one to dock and play loaded emulation hard drives
Plug in an XG mobile and it's immediately high end
Have you ran this with the new driver???
For the same price what PC can I get that would be better ? Please tell me recommend
Look on amazon or newegg for a prebuilt or bundle with a GTX 1650 (or better) and 16gb ram and 512gb hdd (or above). You should be able to find one for $100-$200 cheaper than the ally.
@@TechDweebthanks would it be better performing ?
If it’s docked you need to turn it up to 40w on gpu power and get a lot more power
a lot of docks wont allow you to
Guten Tag. 👋
I wonder how the console plays Resident Evil. 😎👍
Struggles with re4 remake
Easy
Was this running on battery or was it on mains power?
Power
just letting ya know, on fortnite, you should use "performance mode" on all low settings and see the fps then, I'd appreciate it if ya did
Just got mine yesterday and i can say it its p decent as a gaming pc laptop whatever i paid in all 890$ for the z1 extreme and a keyboard n mouse and hdmi and a multiport block thing all in all its p decent runs tarkov alright it aint the best buh its ok and it runs project zomboid great
Take it this is not the Z1 Extreme? getting over 100FPS on most games mid to high settings
How much fps would a game like apex get at lowest settings?
can it play roblox max settings
How does it feel like a decent desktop gaming experience? Looks more like an okay console experience to me. Not being a snob about it, I'm just not seeing the point, unless this is the only thing you own.
let me guess that dock wont allow turbo
u forgot on what watts the ally was on while gaming
am I missing the link to the rog ally?
Doh!
www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-rog-ally-7-120hz-fhd-1080p-gaming-handheld-amd-ryzen-z1-extreme-processor-512gb-white/6542964.p?skuId=6542964
Was this the z1 extreme or the regular ally?
100% the regular one
It's the PC version of Nintendo switch and I love it.
Can it charge while dock on desktop mode?
I will say this, the OLED screen surely beats the bathtub by a mile...
No... Not for fucking 300 dollars. That's a damn 240hz monitor on the high end price. That thing isn't a good monitor for gaming at all.
im already subscribed :)
Apex? How does it run?
So stewie now reviews tech
for the fact i got my ally for $350 i feel like it’s the cheapest/ best option considering i COULD play any AAA game and if i built a pc for $350 it would be way worse
Nice deal!
bro you sound like a young Hans Moleman 🤣
But 350 for the monitor is crazy
I'm typing this with the rog ally lol but get the original DOCK so you can get the full experience the rest of the docks won't get you a good fps.
Is this your real voice or a voice mod,
You made good content but I have to turn the volume down 😔😔😔
What's with the voice?
Ok but 699,- for gaming on low settings 😶
It is using the rog ally battery?
Nope, plugged in
its the 'GIGGLE HERTZ' Nerd guy again
Buy a ViewSonic Portable Monitor,144hz 17.5" thank me later!
Man... The ViewSonic is bigger, at 3ms response time. And more hz.
My guy that one you are using Is 60hz which is THE WORST solution for any game especially shooters. You can't play shooters on that monitor without being at a disadvantage.
Also, at freaking 299.00 ... No hell no!
Thats what i dont like about these games the mocap suit. Nobody wants to walk and move so slow.
