Несколько лет назад, когда я знакомился с этой группой, я сначала расстроился, что Кристиан ушел из группы. Но потом послушав с новыми вокалистами, Робертом и Ларсом, я был в экстазе. Шикарное сочетание голосов.
Мои фавориты: The Iconoclast, Noumenon and Phenomenon, Nonhuman Era, Frequencyshifter. А трек The Consciousness Eaters - оргазм для ушей🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻, один из самых сильных треков во всей дискографии Скаров

People gave this album a whole lot of crap when it first came out, but it's really solid across the board.
Now it's a classic. Btw, Nonhuman Era is one of my favorite SS songs...chills every time I hear it, perfect.

I loved this from the Beginning. There are so great Songs on it. Non Human Era, Sculptor Void, Radiant Strain or my Favorite Parathesis in Eternity.

I've been thinking what this album's problem was, and after all these years I gotta say it's the production. The guitar melodies were not audible enough, especially under those catchy choruses, so it sounded like they undermined them rather than adding to them. It also overall felt quite sterile and probably could have used some synths to fill in the spaces, some frequencies felt unoccupied. That said, there are still several really nice songs on this album. I think it deserves a re-recording, or at least a remaster, that could really do this album a favor.
I agree, the production is very muddy and the mix is too "even." It just doesn't sound very good if it's turned up loud. Some great songs on here for sure, though!
this is a product of having to pay 2 STUDIO SINGERS to replace Christian ( admitted he couldn't do all his vocs live), and you're left with less than stellar production. the songs are pretty great minus the production lacking. they fell off after this release.
When this was first released (after Christian left) I remember hating this album. I was very much a huge fan of the old Scar Symmetry stuff, so I really did not like this. After a few listens, having an opened mind and some patience, well it turns out this album is really really good. Sculptor Void is one of my favorite songs ever.
Great album, but probably the last place if I rank their discography. That's less due to the songs themselves than to the sound which unfortunately turned out to be a bit muddy. If the album had the same clean production as, say, Holographic universe, I would probably find it much better. Songs like Noumenon and Phenomenon and A paranthesis in eternity are still among my favorites. And I was very happy that no videos were made for the following albums because you have to admit they were a bit goofy XD
