Shaquille O'Neal's (12pts/18rebs/3blks/8to's) NBA Debut (1992)

  • Rookie Shaq has a decent NBA debut. On the one hand, he instantly provides Orlando with great shot blocking and defensive reboundig. On the other hand, you can see that O'Neal is not yet ready for the aggressive NBA double teams as he makes a few mistakes that account for 8 turnovers. I got to say that those two coast to coast trips Shaq took are absolutely amazing. November 6, 1992.

Wu Liwei Shaq wasn't that bad from free throw. He is a career like 52%. People like DeAndre Jordan and Andre Drummond shoot like 30-40%

He was alot more athletic and about 40 pounds lighter in Orlando so I guess that may have helped.

@@zr8693 i feel like he changed his approach to how he shot free throws. Here he's shooting them like jumpshots. Later on, he was like craddling the shots and shooting one handed.

its crazy when you watch videos of shaq in college and in orlando when he actually had a decent stroke at the free throw line! Injuries and little practice led to what you saw recently. Don't think he and his 4 rings care too much though XD
