    it was an honor to be alive during the time this man dominated. definitely the last of his kind, the last 7'1 center to be as agile as a forward. we won't see this type of player in a while. thanks for everything shaq!

      What stands out to me about Shaq is when Jim Rhome called him "Clank Fu" because he missed 15 free throws in one half of a game.

      shaq had the game to back his ego up,...unlike dwight coward lol...they said it was hard for co stars to exist on the same equal field as shaq but in miami shaq let go of ego and let wade be the man....i think in 2007 he gave up to much responsibility lol...he was still the number 2 talent wise but most nights he liked to be the number 3 4 or 5 guy ...he still had it and could avg 20-22 and 10 but he became too uncomfortable i bet hearing about how wade carried him...so he took some nights off .see how wade wins without me he thought...see its hard without the big daddy...he proved his point or maybe after the 2006 finals shaq thought wade could be superman every night the way he himself was in la and carry shaq all year lol...then wade would be tired by finals time and shaq could be mvp lol...

      I agree he was the best player in the league during the early 2000's. Is it weird to feel like he underachieved?

    • @prenticetaylor5577
      @prenticetaylor5577 7 лет назад +2

      He did underachieve. He could have been the best ever but had a poor work ethic and was content getting by on his natural ability.

    Too me he was the Most Dominant Center in NBA History ! For good reason SHAQ played in a much more tougher and harder Era than Wilt Chamberlain !... Wilt played against smaller guys which is why he put up those crazy video game numbers

    Shaq is the only of his kind he weighed of average in his prime 330 wilt,russelt,and karrem never weighed more than 260-275 in their primes

    • @johnflanagan9153
      @johnflanagan9153 5 лет назад

      Isaac, by 1967 Wilt Chamberlain was still very much in his prime and expanded his insane game by becoming only center in the history of the NBA to LEAD the league in assists; He was still averaging 30+ppg., but sacrificed some of his scoring and it was his first championship. At that time, he was lifting regularly, and at nearly 7''2, he was weighing approx. 290lbs...he was just mammoth and solid. By the time he joined the Lakers, he was 305lbs, and unlike Shaq, had very little body fat. He was not just a better center than Shaq, but he had the work ethic O'Neal never had.

    Shaq or wilt ?, generation vs. generation, sports science of old & sports science of new, u can debate all day but what if shaq was in wilts era ?, no question he would’ve killed wilt, i mean bill russell did, right ?

    • @joshuafult84

      Shaq's better easily he won more in a era with more teams and more talent. Anyone that picks Wilt is delusional.
