I have done some awesome coins on my cnc gantry style router. But...... I have a 100W JPT 3D laser coming in 7days. I'm super excited about what it can do.
Thanks guys for an awesome lesson! My first fiber laser is on schedule to deliver tomorrow so my excitement is waaaaay up. Coins is top of the menu. You guys are definitely the best source of info available to the laser maker community.
Yes, you can cut 18g brass.
I have cut 16g Sterling (about 18 minutes) and 18g gold fill (half hard) I have also cut 16/18/20g copper but for any object/shape I can cut with a manual disc cutter and press or 2lb brass hammer and save the fiber, I do.
Great video, tons of great tips! Picture of finished product after please!
Great video! Had fun hanging in chat!
Thanks buddy!
Lazer show iz good. Thumbs up!
Thanks for watching Bunny!
Great stream guys. I’ve been missing the project streams.
Thanks Mike! We miss them too, hoping to get back to doing more of them!
Do you have a link to the goggles you were wearing during the stream? Also, you only had this set to 10 passes but it ran a long time. I must have missed where you were doing more than 10 on this.
They're NoIR goggles, we have a link on our website's buying guide or you can just Google that name.
FYI. In Lightburn, the similar function to paste in place is duplicate. So you select the item you want to copy (the outer circle) and hit CMD-D (Ctrl-D) and it duplicates the selected item, so not copy and paste required.
Good tip!
I just got my 60w MOPA and learned a ton from this video. I am looking at getting a vibratory tumbler tomorrow but no idea on the media for this. Any thoughts on how to finish these up?
I started with green pyramids and corn cob with mixed results but I think I can do better messing with ratios. Still figuring it out myself.
Oh great! I will try those and perhaps a few other things to see what I can find as well. Thanks for the quick reply!
Are you using any sort of base media like silica sand with the green pyramids?
Love the show guys.
Question. Since the webcast changes the streaming quality seems not full hd over here. Cams frome kyle and matt looks fine biut all the cams from alex look blury like 720p or lower. 😊
Hope its getting better because u love your show guys ❤
It's due to bandwidth at the shop for me. The stream is hosted remotely, so the stream can be good for the guys and rest of stream, but my feed is affected while Kyle is remotely controlling my cameras and stream PC. We figured that out a bit into stream so Kyle had to jump in and out to make sure the quality was affected for as short a period as possible. It's a work in progress and new setup, will keep working on improving! Thanks for watching!
Where can I find that bed you used for the laser?
I mean the part where the coil sits.
The fixture plate right? Here's a link through the Marketplace: market.makerremix.com/laser-equipment/laser-accessories/laser-bed-fixtures/xl-high-density-fixture-plate/
@@LaserEverything Thank you, this would be a great help for our Asia based Laser workshop.
GOOD
Thank you!
I need that guys contact info who does cnc. I've been trying to setup one but it just not want to work with me.
hey guys. Thanks for sharing conclusion. I'm in Brazil and would like to find a good supplier of fiber laser coins. Do you have any indication. I will import.
Some of our tester coins are from Cloudray, but we would normally go to Bui Swiss or Umburry for some nice variety. I'm unsure of their abilities to ship to different countries, but you could certainly reach out through their website to ask for specifics. These are the ones we mentioned about Cloudray during the stream which shouldn't have a shipping issue and are great for practice (affiliate link, won't affect price but gives us commission to put toward projects): shrsl.com/4dajw
@@LaserEverything do you know supplier for blank coins?
Nice Pepsi product placement…
Ironically we joke on nearly every episode of the podcast we're sponsored by coke. I hate Pepsi 🤣
ag bru I own a manufacturing facility I can make as many of these as I choose.
Cool
Fewer passes. Less time. Not less passes less time. Not fewer passes, fewer time. Not less passes, fewer time.
So more passes, more time?
@@LaserEverything lol that works too!
Boring. Don't you know how to edit?
It was a live stream :) It wasn’t intended to be a short and concise video, this was a full length project live while talking with the viewers who were hanging out. The edited and concise videos can be found in the video tab of the profile, this one is in the live tab. Hope that helps clear up any confusion
