Hello, The only thing that I can think of is that you have connected the input power of the door sills to the wrong wire of the vehicle. The wire you have spliced to could be a wire to the lights of your switches or dash accent lights and so on. These lights might turn off when you unlock your vehicle or lock it. Try to look at the paper instructions for your specific vehicle by searching the pdf online as I haven't installed these on a 2018 Camry I am unsure as to which wire it might be. Hope that helps!
i got the factory instructions and got strange beeping when i touch the door handle of my 2017 avalon. the colors matched up with your method and the factories so i am at a loss for a solution. i have only done the drivers side so that is my only thing i can think is it is unbalanced.
No you shouldn't have issues if you have only done one side. Maybe a wrong wire was tapped? Did you try to trace the wires to the correct lights? Also try to trace the beeping if possible, what is beeping? Let me know if anything helps.
I think the beeping was...I did not plug it back in...I went to the passenger side and found that the factory colors did not match up, so I followed your advice by looking for the colors of the door courtesy light. They were in another plug, so I connected to those. - Success. I then went back to the driver’s side and realized that I had not plugged it in, so I did, and everything checked out. Thanks for the guidance, it was good having another sage advice to go along with the factory instructions.

Hello! You can try to use a multimeter (Voltage Reader) and then find the switch that the door pushes on when closing and test the voltage without actually closing the door but rather just pressing the switch by hand on and off so you can see the voltage fluctuate indicating that the wire truly is dependent on status of the door, whether ot is open or closed. Hope that helps!

You need to always connect the sills to the wires that power the light on the door. You can locate this with the method I showed in the video by taking that specific door light out and checking the colors of the wire, then check the voltages as the door closes and opens. Should’ve just bought the higher trim xse premium or xle with it instead of buying all this aftermarket which does lower the value since it was installed after the factory.
he has the XLE. which is the top trim. XSE premium is not offered for 2013. it's an accessory, which can only be optioned if you ordered the car off the website and got it delivered. which most people dont do.

I found it to be a black wire on the driverside and a pinkish/tanish wire on the passenger side. I have a 2019 camry se

I wouldn't think it's more than a few hundred dollars in labor possibly. Maybe cheaper if done at a 3rd party rather than a dealer.
