they recorded 8 tracks for sad but true. try adding more guitars panned like 100% 80% 60% 40%. also maybe turn the gain and treble up just a smidge. but besides that the tone sounds really good bro! good job!
They had a baritone track for just the open D and palm mutes. Probably panned in the center. Looked like it was a baritone that could have been tuned to D in the bass register. Most likely panned in the center and mixed a bit lower in the mix.
