I can't believe the buttons don't reorient when the screen is rotated. I'm glad I watched this video before purchasing.
Hiya, yeah, imwas shocked. But since publishing this the have updated and sorted that. I've done an update video (full review) of this one now. Cheers.
I wish they could reduce the bezel on the left side to make it more pocketable.
How much money did they spend on marketing rather than enhancing their products?
I would never choose them again.
Oh, interesting. Can you tell us more about the relation between screen size and Wacom layers? My Palma is great, but I wish it had somehow a possibility of writing on it with a EMR pen. Now you talking about the unavailability of Wacom layers for small screens. Interesting.
Ooh they want to challenge kobo libra colour. Its mych cheaper too
Thanks for the extensive coverage on their implementation of the capacitive stylus. While it seems to be more a limitation of E-Ink at 7 inches as opposed to a conscious choice by Bigme, it seems to be a rather ineffective solution. It may be nice to see them release a model without the pen at a reduced price for those just looking for a color e ink reader. Have you noticed any differences with the color rendition compared to Boox devices with the Wacom layer or software optimizations?
Thank you so much for being a member! Generally I find the Bigme screens to be a little warmer, I've not seen a way to change the warmth of the colour tones, and I don't think it is just the light settings that I am using.
It must be software because I am pretty sure the screens come assembled with lights from E-Ink, but I could be wrong here.
The biggest difference is in the crispness, it tends to be that I find the Boox screen to be a little crisper and cleaner and I think that this is due to the GPU implementation.
Interesting idea re: price, but in honesty, this pen technology cannot be very expensive for them to add in, it's a pretty generic standard of capacitive stylus!
Thanks as always for your insight! Considering the low cost of the capacitive pen then, I suppose it is more of a value add. My Boox devices seem to do very well with the BSR tech, though it is always nice to see some competition in the market. I noticed the reds look best on my tab mini c and a bit more washed out on the air 3c. It seems that every brand has a different calibration. It is really nice to see color E-Ink becoming so affordable regardless!
Would you recommend this over the new Libra colour? I ordered this ereader and a week later the libra colour came out🤦
I have the same question ^^
@@SoniaNilaleva I received my b751c yesterday and I'm honestly pretty happy with it. I think the biggest difference is the OS. I'm not familiar with the kobo OS but I do like having android 11. There are some little differences I've found through searching around (I may be wrong on some details). I think the bigme has a little bit more processing power, not that it really matters for reading. Also the Libra 2 having waterproof would be a big plus if you go camping or something. But I've also heard the waterproofing stuff wears off with time? At least with phones anyway.
I have been using it for a week and I like it. With the latest update they have fixed issues mentioned earlier. Pre-installed Kindle app works, page turns with buttons works in all the apps. AI meeting recorder is pretty good. My primary use is to read books.
