@@TraumaAD I know what you mean, I wish I knew 25 years ago about tone as what I do now. Back then we all just cranked the gain up and added stacks of distortion pedals all while scooping our mids like we were digging dog shit out of your moms flower garden.

Soooooo there is one of my favorite songs (with 2 or 3 others on first place) played live. Amazing show and everything and there arent even that many live performances on youtube. AND I AM THE SECOND COMMENT....WTF.....I love Annihilator to death and Jeff is one of, if not my absolute favorite musician. I dont know how this could happen but the metal community needs to wake up! Thanks for the upload!
i mean they have been around since about 1984.....and have been cited to be a huge influence to plenty of bands, they also hold plenty of overlapping influences that metallica had so.
One of the cleanest and clearest sounding metal bands ever. Proof that you don't need 3 tons of gain to sound tight AF.

Too much gain is indeed the problem for many bands .... And also saving notes for begginers
...plus precision of playing... :)
gain depends on the genre and the cabinet, for example, death metal isn't a genre to play with a scooped gain and also without a boost
