There’s no denying Danny Phantoms anime inspiration but his story and character development is very comparable to Spider-Man. And honestly his powers are more similar to a character like Green Lantern if I had to make a comparison.

I know there’s the novel, but I’m not rather satisfied on how it ended. And it currently remains debatable if the novel and its upcoming the sequel are even officially canon to the show’s continuity due to a few errors in its attempt to callback to the events of the Season 3 finale.
