You have been such a big inspiration to turn my life around when I had no job and living in a motel with my dog. I paid for weeks of motel living with credit cards and food with credit cards... when I finally found a place and work within a week of eachother after living in a motel for almost 3 months.. I set on a path to rebuild... now I currently have a new car, 1 used as a project/show truck, an apartment, dog is healthy, I'm healthy, I'm in management after less than 1 year of being a mechanic and still soaring to new heights including financially with less than $100 of cc debt recurring and a personal loan for $6000 (before all that) paid off... idk if you read comments or care.. but I would love to have a chance to meet you since you're now in the best state and best town. Food for thought: Remember that California versus the other states are the way they are because of their fiscal policy. When people move out from California, they should consider a change to their policy mindset. If people moving out from California want to keep their old ideals, they need to remember that it comes at a very high cost. A large part of these ideals and fiscal policies are driven by the voters. Some would argue that how one votes can impact fiscal policy.

      Are you basically asking Californians to leave California's ways in California?

    • @pstwr
      @pstwr 3 года назад +13

      Yep, California has a huge wealth gap issue. As usual, California is just a little ahead of the curve, but as you see more Tesla's and Peloton's pop up in your area, watch out for the wealth gap issue to rear it's head in your neighborhood. You'll see the rich Californian's taking their wealth out of state to avoid the taxes. They'll take their wealth "creation" businesses to your area and enhance the wealth gap. For example, if a wealthy real estate investor leaves LA and heads to, say, NV, they will gradually pull local wealth up to the top. They'll outbid local investors, raise prices, and then rent those properties back to locals at higher than current market prices. In summary, if you hate what you see in California, you might actually hate capitalism. Because what it does, in the end, is push all the wealth to the very top, leaving the vast majority broke and destitute.

Those that don't ACTUALLY realize that the result of LA becoming a sh * t hole is the democratic politics are extremely naive. There's no way you have the highest taxes in the country yet have no money to spend on programs for addiction and homelessness, the roads look like a third-world country, and the disparity between rich and poor there is astronomical. Oddly enough, LA represents all the things the common-man democrat vote against. I see it happening. Used to cruise into work uneventful. Pretty sure you're hinting at the fact that they're already working on it right? lol
      because if you're not then I shall inform for the goodness of informing others who might not be aware. California is working on a law that would allow them to tax you, even if you leave California up to 10yrs after you've left California and this would be retroactive so anyone who has already left would be chased after.
      Now the odds of that being enforced, I'm not sure what they would have to do because that's insane despotic BS that Commiefornia is trying to push but we're already in a dystopian nightmare where everything fake is pushed as the truth.

    Made the move from LA in '17 before it was trendy. Nevada is much easier on the wallet but there are real drawbacks. Only about 25% of adults in Vegas have a college degree which means it is very much a blue-collar town built on hospitality. As such, Vegas has been hit very hard in the past by economic downturns and now by the pandemic. It has become even more of a transient place than it was pre-covid. Once the pandemic subsides, there are the subsiding water levels in Lake Mead, which supplies the city with nearly all of its water, to worry about. Even if you can afford to live in one of the nicer areas of town (Summerlin or Henderson) your house won't be worth much in a town without any water.

      @@aloevera3317 I'm sorry, it's not more complicated than that. Half of Graham's video was dedicated to ridiculous zoning laws, taxes, and regulations which caused California to become unlivable in. All three of these things are 100% controlled by the government. Don't act like the California government isn't the reason that state is going to hell. Just take a look at Texas. Texas is booming in EVERYTHING - tech, ag, energy, etc. and it still remains the most livable state in the nation. Oh wait, did I mention Texas is DEEP RED? Literally has one of the most extreme right wing governors in office right now with a republican state senate, and EVERYONE is moving there.
      So yes, it is that simple. Democrats and progressive politics/culture have destroyed California. The only reason Oregon, Washington, and other blue states are surviving is because there remains a strong republican presence culturally and in office to balance out the left's insanity in those states. The day your state has little to no republican representation to balance out democrat insanity, you can kiss your state's ass goodbye.
