The video brought back fond memories of Uncle Herbie and Aunt Jean. As you remember Aunt Jean had names for all their animals. We salvaged some boards and a door from the barn and they will live on in our barn.
Thanks for sharing that little piece of Jackson history. Although I was maybe at their farm only once - it was good to see the old barn I heard so much about and hear you talk about Uncle Herbie.
Hey Pam glad to see you caught one of my videos. You probably never knew but they wrote a lot of events on the hen house wall. Most of that wall is preserved for future generations. Very interesting what all went on. Thanks for watching. Nice to hear from you
Always sad to see these old buildings go. It had its day no longer serving any practical purpose. All things must pass. You paid tribute to the family heritage keeping it for 25 years and documenting its demise. Well and properly done.
Great. Keep watching. I have some new topics coming up. Just kinda waiting for the pandemic to subside so we can move around more freely. Really trying to be safe. Enjoy your feed back Thanks
I hated to tear it down. Been putting it off for 25 years. Finally had to. I have painted it twice. Put half the roof back on. New doors a few years ago. But never used it. Just not useable. I had a few people that wanted wood or track or doors grab before it went
I have a sawmill and lots of logs. How much hardwood do you need. ??? That barn was built with green lumber sawn out of the bush. Dried in the barn. So hard you cannot drive a nail in it

I am lucky. The guys at seed plant always seem to use it up. Just starting now to get ahead. Only took 45 years

Would you not preserve the farming heritage?
I would love to. But no volunteers when I pass the hat??? $$$$$$$
I did look after it for 25 years. Painted it twice. New doors and half the roof. Never used it just was a place to spend money. So there it goes
