Bunch of good looking cattle! Like you I noticed how quiet they are.

They are unbelievably quiet. They should of been afraid of me as stranger. But were chewing on my coat and wanting to play. Hard to play with a 1600 pound friend you don’t know
I was very impressed. I had filmed these same cattle over a year ago as calves

Excellent, love these videos on cattle, which I know little about.

Who designed the barn? I'm curious to know what slope percentage you need for the sloped floors. I'm about to build one and could use the architect info

That slopped floor is amazing and I will admit I had doubts that it would work. But as you saw it is perfect.
I think a straw chopper will help too. It will keep tractors out of the manure pack

How is that building built it looks like it was slated on the one end wall

No slatted floors. But I believe the pack is on a 12 to 15 degree slope. The manure slides down into the alley which they clean out
Cattle do very well in this environment
Great air makes a difference and lots of light

He didn’t say how many calves he has. How does he know that every calf/cow gets something to eat ? Seems like some could get pushed out of the way. Huge operation!!

Great question. He has a lot of manger space. There is feed in the manger most of the day. He feeds twice a day.
When he feeds he then walks the pen to see if a calf does.not get up to eat. If it does mot get up to eat it may be feeling a bit sick So then he will possibly give it medicine. Or at least keep an eye on it. That is why they have numbers in there ears. As far as how many. The answer is lots. There is four yards in total
Thanks for watching. Always look forward to questions
