Hi Dennis I came across your great setup and awesome videos looking for ways to put bags in containers. I noticed that you stack the bags on a custom pallet. Do you have any videos of this process from start to finish? We have a small cleaning operation in central Victoria, Australia. Just started doing bagged exports. Thanks in advance
Scott here keep up the great work. Nice looking calves. Keep an eye on that bloater. I've had ringworm from cattle it won't hurt ya. Keep the videos rolling
I appreciate your feedback, Scott. I'm keeping a close eye on that one. Always something to watch
Good looking group. You mentioned cough. What do you use to treat and how do you administer. I use 10g Aureo on mine. I’ve got 2 cases of ringworm first time in about 6 years or so. Truly like your cattle videos. Like the plywood idea
First. Plywood was an idea I stole from a viewer I use A-180 on this size about 7-8 cc Sub Q in neck Often need two dozes about one or two days apart. I had one breathing heavy and two shots and he was fine
Could give 3-4 cc of Dex on first shot as well
Good looking bunch of calves we have hay they wont touch the bale in a feeder , but clean it all up if ground and in the manger
I am finding as they get bigger they do clean up hay in the manager. I pregrind the hay in the TMR and they seem to eat it better These calves were only getting pellets and whole corn before I got them
Was the train coming into the station or leaving. 🤣🤣
Pretty sure it was a set of “B” Trains Likely pulled by a Craven Farms highway Tractor???
I am sure it was loaded with a load of Soybeans heading to Dresden.
I love watching videos about farm life that can be educational. I am working on writing a book and use a variety of RUclips channels for research! The bird scare sounds was a new one. I also like to watch "Sheepishly Me" and she hates the birds that fill her barn.
That bird machine is not 100% but sure keeps most of them out. I have it set to only work in daylight. Not sure if birds come in at night?? We also have one in our large grain storage building It is 116 x 300’ it seems to really help. Always hard to keep birds away from any place with lots of feed My wife and I are very faithful viewers of Sandi’s channel
@@soybeanman9439 Awesome! Thank you for the information. Merry Christmas!
Your welcome for the advice on the bunks an thanks for the shout out much appreciated! Keep up the great videos, love the cattle videos! Backgrounding an feeding cattle is my passion! Merry Christmas @soybeanman9439
Can you tell use what kind of feed mix you make?
Sure. I will do a whole video on my feed program
Very Informative as always
Merry Christmas. Brad
Like to see the finish of this group hope the price holds✅
Yes. I am hoping that too I will likely sell when they are 800-900 lbs
Rather healthy looking cattle, Merry Christmas
Thanks. Merry Christmas
Nice group of Angus calves there. They look very content. Merry Christmas to you and yours from Western NY
Thanks. Always nice to hear from one of our neighbours to the south Are you a cattle feeder as well. That is one of my addictions. A bad habit I just cannot break. I probably need council ing I will likely hold off on that as long as these beef prices hold. LOL
@ used to raise dairy replacements and then black baldies. Never was fortunate to own my own farm, always rented. Got sick of being at someone else’s mercy but I totally enjoyed cattle and especially the genetics behind them. Always wanted to try my hand at shorthorns but never got the chance. Love the channel, continued success
Keep up the videos! My husband loves to watch them and always says about how well you do at educating on the different kinds of agriculture. 👍
Thanks for the encouragement. I really try to be informative and cover a range of topics And like I stated in the video . It is pretty easy to leave the camera in the truck and go about daily life
They look like they r bigger for sure. Next video J&E meats and their new cow barn. Sounds Interesting. Merry Christmas to the Jacksons and Happy 2025!!
Thanks Janis You are really on the ball today. I have a video coming up you will really appreciate I was out to J and E to do a video but we are waiting until more is done on it
you treat the cow with the buggered up eye...pink eye can spread to other cows quickly....
I have been watching that pink eye. My health provider suggested leaving it as he does not seem worried about it spreading!??
Always like your video variety Dennis
Thanks for watching. Please send tell your city friends about the videos I want to teach non Ag people about food production from our area. Food does not need to come from across the ocean
The calves look good. I bet they grow fast
That is the plan hahaha
Great video. Didn’t know that art even existed. I only knew about stain glass. Yes it is different teaching adults!! Thanks for this video.
You should go see the stuff. It is amazing
This is so cool!
Hi Dennis. It your building a Wecover or another brand? Thanks
We Cover. I did a video on it a couple of years ago. Excellent high quality. Not the cheapest Only the best
Hey Dennis I 'm interested in your bird scarer where and how much is it
I will put all that info in my next cattle video. I have to look that up. I will have contact and price
Thanks for the shout out. I’ve got a country cousin that is pretty smart when it comes to cattle. lol. So ears down means???? Dehydration or failure to thrive ??? We can start calling u Dr SBM now doing your tid checks on your cows. Cory is adorable!!! Looking forward to seeing the growth. I wish I had a full time job of eating all day but then I would weigh 300lbs++++ 😂
I look forward to your comments. You are part of reason I keep going with videos
I like that noise machine. Could you tell me the brand? Love yor videos!
I will put that in my next cattle video
I do love that barn
My brother would be very happy to fix you up with one. He is the We Cover guy
So we start a lot of these little guys and went to pushing and wasting feed in the bunks but didn’t take me long to solve the problem. I got some used 4X8 sheets of plywood that were used as forms I lay them down in the bunks at an angle. Place the plywood edge down in the floor closest to the calves and the other side on top of the concrete closest to where you feed just but the plywood end to end the length of the bunk. When you feed all the feed will slide down the plywood right to the claves. When the get bigger just take the plywood out and stack it in the dry until you need it again. Hope this helps save some freed pushing!
Maybe I will try that Thanks for the tip
Was looking for some info about sliverline seeds and this video popped up. Glad I found your channel and looking forward to growning some sliverline IPs next year. Thanks for taking the time to make the videos!
I played hockey with Paul on the Rutherford Stallions and he’s not exaggerating, fastest skates to ever on the ice at the Dresden arena !!!🤭
He is quite a Paul. Best road man around. He runs very efficent operation at the township
Help cut weeds off
Neat and tidy!! Good job
Great video !! Love the show and tell with dropping off the corn and to see what a ripper is. Wasn’t sure what u were talking about. lol thanks. And intrigued about the future cow video!! Haha
Why Janis. Do you think there might be a future cow video??? I guess you will have to stay tuned and see Thanks for watching Always look forward to your thoughts
Nice Outro music - thanks for the demo
@@welwyfm33Tom is our man I have even been to Skinners Pond Saw him at least three times in concert. Maybe more
So just where does one get a Soybean Man Tee Shirt?
Call me 359 4969
Aww ❤ great video!! I enjoyed my ride in the wheat harvest with my country cousin. I would definitely encourage others to take the opportunity.
Glad you got to ride with your country cousin Like I say. If you do not have one. Just go adopt one.
looks like Gregs service truck ?
Drives like it too
Are you going to show us the rest of the grain bin great job
Yes we will
Great video!!
Thanks
Really great video. I learned lots. Didn’t know about the replanting on an angle that was easy to see on the video. When it is planting and harvesting times , do u meet as a family and decide who does what and how many people u need? Or Do the sons just let u know where u r going to Be on what day ? Haha.
We usually have a bit of a meeting at 6:45 Then we go. I just work on the farm along with Jarod part time. I also go for parts for the farm or plant Always something to get At harvest time we get s couple of wagon haulers usually from the plant Frank of course is always fixing either on the farm or at one of the plants
You are closer to the truth. Now I basically get marching orders and try to carry them out safely and out of site if I can
This is so amazing ; please continue teaching the world !! i request you to share me your e mail address. i didnt capture it very well from presentation. thanks and be blessed !!
My Email dennisjackson@kent.net Thanks for the comment. Love to hear from you
Happy Belated!! You r way older than me. Hahaha. Enjoy this decade!! What does 14-5 mean??? I assume moisture content of some sort. Lots of farmers out and about this weekend getting their beans off and some corn. Janis.
Thanks Janis 14.5 is moisture of the beans. I might have answered your question better on tomorrows video. Keep watching. I love it
Happy birthday
Happy birthday do you grow forage oats and peas quite a difference over conventional oats and peas when there used for feed
We just buy oats and peas mixed from a couple of suppliers We do not let them head out. We cut when they are in the boot stage That gives highest protein
Happy belated Birthday Dennis! Welcome to the seventies 😂🎉
Thank you!! 😁
Can you assist me in designing a ddgs transload facility on 6 acre concrete pad?
We have built DDG loaders Where are you??? DDGs need to be covered??
That was a very interesting video on wild blue berries . Good to see Eric use to see him all the time. Say hi to him for me .

Great video,,probably your best work showing the close up of the harvester. Loved that. Hope this was a vacation for u and not work,, thanks again
Next time I will take my go pro. Very disappointing
We came by today. Great place to pick up some strawberries. It was so good we just finished while driving. It would be nice if there is a sign before the store so we can slow down. We missed it and I have to make my husband turn around. Good thing we did.
Good berries
