What about weight, one of the most important measurements for off-road riders? The Talaria is over 25 pounds heavier than the Sur-Ron, and that weight negates a good bit of the Talaria battery's extra amp hours, making the battery comparison much closer. Also, you said that the Sur-Ron was "thinner" and "more nimble," which should be another point since this is an important consideration for off-road riding.

You nailed it man!… After talking to a couple of talaria owners who also owned Surron’s, I heard back that with the upgraded Gladiator Chi battery 60V/60Ah… The total new weight on the SurRon goes from 110 to 125 pounds… However the talaria comes in at 138 pounds STOCK. That’s a huge dealbreaker for me personally. Hope this information helps!🙏🙌

Ronster literally says “we’re looking at the same brakes, handlebars, front wheels, rotors, headlights, key ignition. The forks are random and you could get either set on either bike. So why tf would they then go through the trouble of getting a unique HORN of all things. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️. They sound exactly the same. The Talaria was only a hair louder, but that could’ve just been due to how hard he pressed each of them.

Nice to see your comparison video, I have owned SURRON for 5 years and the Light Bee is a trusted product. I am happy to have it.
TALARIA also looks good because it copied the SURRON concept, but the frame with the modified shape doesn't seem to have the simple design aesthetic of SURRON's frame. This bike design by SURRON is their concept from 7 years ago, shame on Talaria now in 2022 to replicate the concept of SURRON 7 years ago. There's always a bit of a knockoff feel to it.
From China, there may be 10 or 100 factories replicas like Talaria‘s way in the future. SURRON is always original. The Light Bee model is SURRON, but SURRON does not only have Light Bee. Having competition is a good thing for consumers and may speed up the progress of SURRON's new generation of products.

gotta say as a sur ron owner i love the look of the talaria and kind of want to buy one (or atleast buy the frame and swap everything over if possible), slight change in the frame design looks beautiful and battery cover minimizing all the exposed area to the top of the battery. battery cable is a great idea but with the sur ron being a somewhat popular ebike to mod and already having a wide selection of custom batteries, not being able to use my 72v battery in it is a deal breaker because of the connector. :(

Great review! Thank you very much for it. Just a side note the power increase significantly on the Talaria after 4-5 battery cycles. Also, the OEM gearing as you tried (44T) is a little bit taller than Sur-Ron. With the equivalent sprocket ratio the peak power of the Talaria is higher from 0-30 but over this speed the Sur-Ron have a little bit more snap we agree especially on throttle response.

All the 2021 need to be reprogrammed by the dealer (look if you have N or M in your VIN (M =2021 and N = 2022). You can send us your controller if you want and we will dot the update for you. I am even sure the Talaria in this video is not updated too otherwise you wouldn't see much difference with the Sur-Ron. I have a Warp9 52 tooth I will be installing. My heart sank a little when you said it was hard to wheelie, isn't that a big factor in why we buy these things? These bikes are not designed to cover 100km the whole point of the Ebike is you have the battery there to help you when you are tired or steep part of the trail comes along and you are not fit enough top get up on your own power. Most of my guests would need the SUR RON to get them around the trails lmao.

Surron is the og. Talaria designer look at surron and improve everything they can. Surron lbx has good run for all these years and inspire bikes like talaria to exists and compete in the same price bracket. That alone worth lots of points to surron lbx imo 😝

@@nxdboi i had the volcano. it was a great fork.
put it this way. it setup the fox 40s out of the box. put air in it and all that and i bottomed out on the fox 40s before i bottomed out on the kkes out of the box. i was blown away on how little of a difference the fox 40s did for the sur ron. it was a brand new 2022 model as well. on the road the fox 40s were more stable but on the jumps the fox 40s were just as good as any fork. mtb forks arent made for the sur ron weight so until someone develops forks or i put on a dirt bike fork i wont have the preformace im looking for. thats why i say kke is close because it does the job without bottoming out on the jumps to much and im pretty sure when i get moto wheels again itll feel just as stable as my last bike.(my last bike had a fox 40 and moto wheels. i have a new stock bike now). i never rode the manitou fork so i cant say whats that like. i would imagine its better than the fox 40s and i never compared the kkes to the manituo either

Great video dude. I just got an emotobros controller for my Ron. I'm trying to decide on a battery now. How much of a difference power wise out of a 72v 38ah compared to 60v 60ah ? Anyone know?

    • @vincentpernicano3277
      @vincentpernicano3277 2 года назад +3

Say you are pulling 100amps of current. The 72v battery is going to produce 7200 watts (9.65hp) and the 60v battery is going to produce 6000w (8.05hp).....BUT the 60v 60ah battery is going to have 3,600 watt hours of capacity vs. The 72v 38ah which will have 2,736 watt hours of capacity...which is considerably less capacity. If range is not a concern for you use case, and power is, then go for the 72v pack. Conclusion: 72v will result in more power, torque, acceleration, probably higher top speed as well. The 60v pack will have more range.

If we were ALL serious about getting rid of reliance on foreign crude oil, there's a solution that's already somewhat been put to the test that worked brilliantly in the US, but needs to be done on a larger scale, with more immediacy! "The First Test! Look around today! We started with money back incentives on hybrid and electric cars when they were finally ready, sales were slow(the cars were slow), but increased as the cars got better, we can skip that step, because what I'm talking about is already "better", we've at it for a decade, and we even race them! People were timid at first and needed encouragement, and it worked!...We see Tesla's and Prius', etc everywhere these days, that incentive WORKED! Now we have even more incentive, moving from reliance on Russian/foreign fuels, we CAN do this! at least to a degree that it massively changes how things are now, and turbocharges a movement that's ALREADY in motion! :D
1- The incredible amount of electric 2 wheeled vehicles, scooters, bikes, etc has drastically increased, and the technology is everywhere! There are incredible examples out there! average price around $1700 (a little too much for people that are timid about the technology still, but they know it works.) The rides we're mainly talking about are the higher end models in the $3k range.
2- ranges and speeds(from 20mph to 45mph) have been increased to the point where they can take the place of gas powered scooters, and small cycles. easily handling 20-70 mile round trips on a single charge.(depending on options weight, quality of bike, etc)..you can also plug them in while at work or wherever you;re heading, no special equipment needed(BIG PLUS!)
3- prices range between $800(mostly for teens) to $3000(daily riders, and reliable) for very decent examples. Even if we were given a coupon or certificate for $2000 towards an E-bike, scooter, etc, we could probably make up the difference and buy a quality product easily.
4- pathways need to be created, min 2 foot wide along major roads, and commuter areas, we can share with bicycles! THIS is job creation! Not to mention the development of the bikes themselves :)
5- It would cost literally nothing relative to the benefits, to give people certificates to obtain one vehicle, or partial payment of 1 vehicle per household, example: gift every citizen with $2-3000 certificates used ONLY towards an electric vehicle, this money would be returned within weeks, or months on fuel savings, and lives saved cutting Russia off more and more. As people started using them, and seeing the massive benefits of low maintenance, worry free tech that is electric cycling!
6- it would allow us to lessen our dependence on foreign oil by a small percentage, but only at first, as the trend continues, and advancement moves towards electric commuting anyway, this would only increase dramatically, even exponentially over a short period of time!
7- There are already service centers in most cities, multiples of them, some selling their very own products. Helping out Mom and Pop stores that grew their business from regular bikes to E-bikes, what's not great about that?!
8- life enhancements, they're fun, seriously fun! I suggest riding one if you haven't! halved, or more fuel costs per family alone would spur the economy, gradually increasing over time, this would be the perfect opportunity, and with the most honorable reasons to start the E-bike revolution. meaning savings, job, transportation, less traffic, and we haven't even mentioned the Green effect it would have on the planet! Better economy, Better world!
EVERYTHING about this makes sense, we're not talking cars, but we could! we're just talking about basic ways to commute that don't rely on fossil fuels, and would help everyone.
    -----------------------------------------------------
If you read that, thank you, and please consider pushing to someone that can do something with it, we need to do this!
