This one's gonna need a bit of love gangsters after our break from signal. 35 days to Tunisia.🫡

@@WangoBango What right do you have to speak about women like this?
It was an absolute pleasure to welcome you guys into Atar and to share some miles with you! Anyone that thought you had stopped running is loco, you’re an absolute Machine of a Man. You’ve also got a hell of a team around you, Jamie, Stan and Guus were some of the most genuine people I have met.
Tunisia is around the corner boys!!!! If any of you ever want to come back, you know who to tell:))
You are a great human being. Your kindness shone through.
You’re a legend man!
Moustapha - wow what a dude!
Absolute legend and your people are something to be proud of, the world could learn a lot from Mauritania 💚
You seem such a nice guy, comfortably able to straddle multiple cultures!
Great vid as always gang, what a place. Keep goin 💪
Straight line across Africa when?
Please join Russ on the last stretch!
You should join him on the last few days Tom
How *not* to travel Africa. Would watch Tom and Greg’s Kinshasa knees up.
That last bit of footage of Guus trying to stay awake might be some of the best footage of the entire mission.
I work changing hours. I do that crap too. It works.
Yeah, shouting is the only things that works once pinching your thighs and slapping your own face stops working!!
@@WangoBango I miss Jarred, he had good positivity!
I don't think people who make these comments really understand how important the team is... who cares if you like them or not as long as they support Russ
@@WangoBango Honestly I didn't mind the bald fella. It's Jarrod that really got on my nerves. Felt like he was trying to steal the show.
Guus calling a pantry a Panda Tree has killed me 🤣 love that guy ❤
Mauritania's tourism board should hire you lot.
You are painting that country, and its people in the best light.
Was getting worried! You know, Russ, you really need to give yourself more credit. It’s not so much the length of Africa but half the perimeter! So glad to see someone combining my favorite things: roadtrips, running, and football/soccer. Donated.
Exactly! Definitely half the perimeter!
Ending of Gus had me rolling 😂
Icl I'm going to miss this series massively. Every episode is so well edited and packed full of content which is amazing considering it's meant to be a don running the length of Africa yet it is so much more than that. Keep on stomping!
Mashallah our brother and sister in Muratania has shown the true sense of the hospitality
He's alive! 💪Stoked to see another upload.
Adding a comment to try what little I can to boost this. You got this!
Just checked your Strava 5 minutes ago. Nothing. Was getting worried and then the notification for this video came up! Keep stomping
Was wondering the same...he did mention though a week or so that signal is bad out there hence the delay in upload
Gus is such good value im gonna miss him when you're done running africa
Phew! That spell of no videos was a taste of what's to come after you reach Tunisia and man it tasted horrible
Russ and geowizard update on the same day? W 🎉
In the middle of the dessert at night must be awesome. Must get such a good clear view of the night sky
Gus trying to stay awake at the end was amazing, I feel that so much
FINALLY ... 2 WEEKS waiting. The worry is over !! COME ON RUSS & TEAM
Guss trying to keep himself awake had me in stitches
He's back! My eyes when I just saw this notification exploded haha
Edit: That Guss ending was hilarious! 😂
The drone shots of the train were Majestic!
What drone? ;)
My bad! I meant, those handheld shots were Majestic!
Guus the absolute madlad :D
Welcome to the toughest and the hardest part of your Africa Crossing Journey in nature term But the most craziest, nicest, generous people as well, Russ!
ONES AND TWOS ALLLLLL DAY LONG! Massive respect to you man. Hope you have the maddest of chill times after this is finished
Guus staying awake was hilarious!
The LEGEND IS BACK! Can we get Starlink to hook up with sat wifi
This one was a serious masterpiece. Probably my favourite episode yet
Yay!! I’ve missed these :)
Glad to get another video from the man himself. Much love from Alabama
Keep going Russ. We really missed your updates. Glad you are OK. I have had to scream to myself once when driving as the only way to stay awake. Pinching my thighs and slapping my face wasn't working anymore and screaming was the onoy way to stay awake. Keep going Russ, we are all behind you willing you on. You ARE the toughest geezer... no doubt anymore x
Woohooo! So excited to see you post. Vamos Geezer
Russ looking delirious with that ice cream haha
Aaay still plodding along. Legend. Worried youd got lost n was a goner
Glad you lad's are good. I'm really going to miss this series when you finish, what an incredible journey.
The ridiculous running achievements aside, this series is outstanding for showcasing the huge variety of African cultures. Absolutely love it 🔥👏
Been waiting so long for this 🥲
He's alive! I'm glad everything is still on track
Been checking Strava every day and getting increasingly worried. Great to see you're OK!
I have been waiting for this video for days :) I dont't know what I'll watch once this is over :(
Longest 2 weeks going that one lad. Last stretch now GOWAN!
Welcome back! Great to see everyone again, amazing effort. Keep going!
He’s alive !! Been missing seen that ginger mush of yours
Would be nice to meet you in Tunisia but I don't know if I will get the time off from work! you're definitely a TOP G 💪🏻
We missed you! What an epic update, big love to you all and roll on Tunisia 🙌 💪
A message of support for this channel and a thumbs up on the video. Thanks so much for the effort to provide such consistently good content.
Honestly best intro scoring a vision pro good lad
I've missed you guys
the man is back.
Good to hear from you. Almost there
The next 1500-2000km will be the most brutal of the trip by far. Strange to think that on this episode, they are running close to where the mighty Tamanrasset River flowed - from the Atlas Mountains to the Mauritanian coast. Yep, the Sahara was as recently as 6000 years ago a green and fertile land fed by a massive river, with unknown cities now lost to the sand.
I think they have just finished the most brutal part.
The route from Senegal to Atar has probably been the hottest. And the route from Zouerat to Tindouf has been running (and driving) in sand. So I think that has been the hardest part.
Now that he (presumably) has entered Algeria, it is the easy part. Although I guess it will be a bit tough when he's crossing the Atlas.
@@Tjalve70the south of algeria is not safe like the government of us and Canada and UK and Australia and Spain said so 🙄
@@simokora-sw7gs What does that have to do with anything?
First video to comment on in 2 weeks! On ya Russ!
Nice one, keep it up I can't believe there are so few ones and twos left.
I thought it had been a while. Good to be back.
So so excited for the next 6 videos. THIS is probably the biggest reason I subscribed to this channel right at the beginning of the mission. This area and bordder crossing has basically never been documented by English-speaking media before to my knowledge. Not only are you doing this insane mission, but you are documented a place hardly ever seen.
I did post about it on Facebook when I crossed there.
But of course, I'm not media, and I just posted text and pictures. Not video. So I'm not saying you're wrong.
@@Tjalve70 fair!
Algo-rhythm comment and like from me! Welcome back!
The belief I have for this man is beyond the scale! Keep up the amazing work Russ and the team! Ones and twos all the way to Tunisia 💎
What an episode. And I guess the confirmation that you already reached Algeria 😅 (where I guess the signal is back)
The south of algeria is full of terrorist groups so that's why the government of all countries warning their citizens to go there like what happened to the Mauritanian bodyguards president killed
I guess the signal must be dodgy cause it's been a while. One of my favourite episodes of the mission. Keep pushing.
Was worried something had happened!! Been checking every day for an upload 🙈
So glad to see you lads back!! Time to catch up with the series
THE LADS FOUND A CRUMB OF SIGNAL IN THE DESERT. KEEP IT STOMPING GEEZER.
I'm guessing they have reached Algeria by now.
I did estimate that it would take them two weeks, and it took 13 days. So I'm pretty sure they are in Algeria now.
@@Tjalve70 If Russ was able to stay at 62 km a day pace, then he should be in Tindouf, Algeria. Still no update on the Strava yet, but that's good to see they've got some signal again.
Probably not updating Strava for safety reasons tbh. Very very sketchy in that part of the world.@@loganleroy8622
@@loganleroy8622 You are right. Which was why I said I thought he was in Tindouf.
Of course it is possible that they are only in Bir Moghrein now. In which case they have only done half of what Russ had planned.
But in that case, where did they briefly upload from, about 5-6 days ago?
It could be that upload was from the hostel that is half way between Zouerat and Bir Moghrein, when I think about it. I got stuck in the sebka close to that hostel when I drove that route.
But until I see proof that they have been that slow, I will assume they are in Algeria now.
Of course, I won't be surprised if they are that slow, since I the pace Russ has planned really is brutal.
Great to have the viddies back! Keep pushing Rus, keen as to see you make it to the end
Great stuff as always - good to see you back!
Y’all are legends
Thank fuck, was getting withdrawals. Welcome back.
Been waiting way too long for this!
