Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
Yesss!!!!! I love panfish plastics. So glad you are doing some videos with them. They are so versatile. I’ve caught just about every type of fish on them. As always another amazing video.
Shared! I enjoy watching the channel. I even have my 4 year old and 7 year old boys watching with me. They tell me I "need to make some like that"! I only have a few molds, but it's a blast.
All of them! Wow, really nice job. I’ve fished with all of those and actually caught 2 state citation crappie one at 18” 2.7lbs, and one at 17.5” 2.3lbs. Both on the monkey milk.
*It's great caught caught a brown trout on the first cast. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend if it was a little smaller it would be more effective for different species*
Great video! Please continue to do panfish plastics from time to time. I understand your meat and potatoes is in the bass world but I enjoy these panfish videos emencly. I watch every video anyway,.
Awesome stuff, sir! I, too, am a Tally local. Fish mostly Lake Talquin for crappie and I know that I catch 2 to 1 Chartreuse to all other colors put together. Especially in normal water, not too muddy. Watching your vids has got me wanting to start doing my own lures. The Cajun Cricket for sure when the water is a bit dingy. Maybe after I get what I need to get started, you might let me pay you for a beginning hands on lesson. One of my young fishing partners is a member of Godby’s Bass Club and I’d bet he would be just as interested to learn. We might could get you a class of beginners, enough to make it worth your while. Just something to ponder?! Either way, thank you for the hard work you put into these vids.
Here's a new lure mould. Take the hard plastic lure mould for a medium diving bass or walleye lure and convert it into a plastic body mould. The bill would be plastic or metal and have a spine made of harder worm plastic that is still flexible and allows the plastic work body to move or a rigid metal spine can be used for a more rigid lure. The hooks are then attached to spine legs, the same material used to make the spine. The spine legs are formed into eyelets at one end so that rings and then a hook can be attached to. Thus a hard plastic medium or deep running bass or walleye lure converted into a soft, medium or hard plastic worm body. New lure designs that combine the swimming action of hard plastic bass and walleye lures with the soft plastic of worm.
Love the video brother just recently I’ve been inspired to start making my own lures. I have to make a few adjustments to my work shop but I’ll get there. Will be subscribing I really appreciate the how to videos! And Cajun cricket looks beautiful!!
I love the red/green one for fishing on perch and zander in germany and netherlands. Its one of our best colours here. Try red with gold thats also a very good colour for us here. I love your channel realy much. Sorry for my bad english.
Some great colors Chris especially for us smallmouth guys. You want to see a little magic .. use 1/2 the black but add lots of silver Holo to your monkey milk. Making it space monkey milk a favorite of mine. You can also use violet hi-light, in out trout filled waters the violet rocks.
Hey Chris. 👋🏻 As always, great vids! It's hard to wait for you to post. 😉 Couple questions, how do you know when the mold is full, and how long do you let them setup before unmolding? Do you have to clean up the injector etc between runs? Does the plastisol just peel off? I loved all of the colors! I really like the chicken though!
I’m like you. I like the Cajun Cricket because it’s a bass color but for crappie, I’d throw the Cajun chicken. Another awesome video buddy. I learn a lot from you and I appreciate it.
Awesome baits!! I have one question if you come across this. Do you happen to know if there is anything out there for the at home bait makers like myself and you, that is similar to the super stretchy and strong plastic zman makes?
there is not, and if there was none of us could afford to use it haha..it is a cold injected rubber polymer that requires very expensive machinery to use.
Wondering, could you pour a worm mold, say a 7 inch Berkley power worm in floating plastic, then cut off the body after mold sets up, about 2 inches from tail, leave tail section in mold and re pour with heavy plastic? That way tail section floats up when Texas rigged.
Thanks Chris. My open pour Swimbaits mold is coming in today from AI. You are the most helpful tuber. Where did you buy the Monkey milk I want to pour that swim bait with it. Thanks again!
Monkey milk color has always been one of my favorite colors for smallies and those look great for a dropshot! It's hard to really choose bc you make so many awesome plastics! What is the purpose of topping off the sprue? Is it to ensure that there's no air in the mold? That may be a dum question but was curious lol
Nice video I like the monkey milk use them very often. Where do you buy your injectors and what size are they? Keep them videos coming very informative and interesting!
Hello...i just found your channel and have been catching up watching all the videos. This is the first one i noticed you're putting them in water. Did i miss something in other videos...or was this a special one?
I love monkey milk had alot of people ask me how to make it I didnt tell them i sold a tone of it but they watch your channel to but glad it came out beautifully lol great job
Hey Chris love the vid's. I have always lovde the monkey milk color. I make a modified version of my own MM. Using my 4"AI injection swimbait molds. A combo of white, pearl, blk and silver glitter and the blue hilite powder. Its not a translucent but it sure add some pizaz as my belly color in the AI 5" hand pours. They look great. I am going to mix up your reciepe and give it a try. Thanks again.
Btw if you can't afford the molds just yet go to 4b Bait and Jigheads he sells alot of crappie/panfish baits made from those molds and at a great price. Plus he's a veteran, always nice supporting a veteran owned company. Either way great video, it's a shame I did the research myself I could've just waited to watch this video hahahaha

I like the Cajun crickets. Can’t wait to start making baits again once the great white north warms up to at least above freezing 🥶

Dannnnnnng..those are huge specks
Definitely the top color with chartreuse and red is a combination that would catch lots of species.
Thanks for sharing again. The drum rolls kick a$$.
thanks nick...i'd say drums kick ass in general!
You nailed both colors! Great job!

injector "stops" when its full..wait a minute or so then demold, injector has to be cleared each run...peels right off.
Thanks Chris!
I like the cajun cricket, would you make a swimbait in that color to use or not?
Yes absolutely
What packaging do you use for your swimbaits, so their tails stay straight? Great colors!
just bags..I cure them for 4 days tho
Thank you
Great job on the bodies ! Looks like fun !
what mold are you using and thanks for being the best out there

I love tiny lures, i have 3 molds from jacobs baits, my favorite stuff, saludos....

It's amazing how much the color changes once you add the black flake
what is the name of the mold you are using and where did you get it. I love that mold... Thanks
It's a jacobs mold
Thank you
So I recently started making baits with an open pour mold and I was wondering which injection molds would be best for starting out
whichever are your favorites! no wrong answer, if you love flukes, grab a fluke mold, worms etc.. angling ai is my go-to for molds.
Do you know where I can buy just a regular tub jig mold for Crappie where I can make different color bodies and tails?
Do you have a mold like the Zoom Tiny Fluke with the minnow or shad like tail?
Not that exactly
Ah, you almost said "on to the next, bait" like Marling baits does hahaha (around the 8min mark)
Yeah it kinda does sound like that
Awesome looking baits. Learning so much from watching your videos. Thanks
Where do I find this exact molding kit
Hey chris i just got my gear in what tips can you give me to make sure my baits are right with scents and color
What are you soaking them in after you take them out of the mold?
Awesome baits!! I have one question if you come across this. Do you happen to know if there is anything out there for the at home bait makers like myself and you, that is similar to the super stretchy and strong plastic zman makes?
there is not, and if there was none of us could afford to use it haha..it is a cold injected rubber polymer that requires very expensive machinery to use.
Are there any molds for trout baits? Like trout magnets, trout bugs, etc?
Do a clear glow in the dark version with black flakes!
Wondering, could you pour a worm mold, say a 7 inch Berkley power worm in floating plastic, then cut off the body after mold sets up, about 2 inches from tail, leave tail section in mold and re pour with heavy plastic? That way tail section floats up when Texas rigged.
Yeah can definitely do that... almost endlessly possibilities
Thanks Chris. My open pour Swimbaits mold is coming in today from AI. You are the most helpful tuber. Where did you buy the Monkey milk I want to pour that swim bait with it. Thanks again!
nice!! just get blue hilite powder from lureworks
Was wondering what's the purpose of water bath. Considering making my own baits soon.
Helps them cure faster that's all
I want that mold where did u get it
Monkey milk color has always been one of my favorite colors for smallies and those look great for a dropshot! It's hard to really choose bc you make so many awesome plastics!
