This has got to be one of my favorite videos you have done. It’s information is fantastic and excellent for those that are new to this hobby. Thank you I enjoyed this video.
My favorite is still the ever illusive motor oil, but I also enjoy the Redrum and Chartreuse, which I do have. And I have most of the rest in some form or other, which just means I've been studying your lessons well, Sensei Jones. 👍
My favorite soft plastic worm atm is bright bright orange. I caught a lot of bass off it this last season. It was the first time I ever used them but I think it might be because its easy to see and others aren't using them. I love your videos and you have inspired me to try this as a new hobbie
I love scuppernong- great color. But I would probably use the black grape even more- Junebug rocks and I fish a ton of stained to muddy water. That said- I would've assumed green pumpkin to be the most commonly used color- it's such a staple for everyone, all over the country. Probably all over the world tbh. I would be interested to know what the best-selling color of plastics is- if we consider all sales, all over the world. I bet GP comes close if it doesn't win it.
Back grape dead on red rum in that dead on chartreuse I use perry regularly but I got to try some of those other pigments injoyed the content in I know what you mean about the Matt I came down with gout last year in it such sucks so it really helps my feet thanks 😊
I sometimes airbrush Sepia onto other colors to enhance my crankbaits. This Scuppernong color appears to do the same thing for plastics. I'm going to have to give it a shot. I'm going to look into that Motor Oil as well. Thanks Chris !
Hey Chris I’m thinking of getting into making plastic baits do u get all your supplies deadonplastics and what advice do u have on what to start out with for beginners
Another great video! My lineup has a couple of these: Redrum and Snowshine, but I use a number of other Dead On colors: Sunshine Yellow, Purple, Black, Blue, Green Pumpkin, Cocoa, and Grit. I definitely need to pick up a motor oil. I really dig that color. Anyway, thanks again! Cheers!
RedRum with a few drops of black and the right flake makes up my Merlot Bug color. I still need to get some of that motor oil color that stuff is gorgeous.
I'm new to the channel and quickly falling in love with it!! I think I'll be ordering my first 6" angling ai swimbait mold soon....I was thinking a neat video idea would be to make one or two cheap plaster of paris molds to show you can try pouring on the cheap. Plaster of Paris is how I got started and when I realized how fun it was I upgraded to silicon and eventually aluminum mold
I own all of these, my top 3 for use in order. 1 Dark Melon. 2 Chartreuse. 3 Redrum. I used to use a lot of Black Grape and that would have been #3 but it has got itself moved farther back in the shelf since I got Purple Rain (Dead On) which lends itself to a more versatile array of molds being a much lighter purple. Now out of all of my colors including this list my top 3 are Dark Melon, Opaline Blue, and Opaline Green going by volume of use. Those last 2 can be added to ANYTHING to add that bit of zing.
Yes! The dead on Opalines are awesome! I use the heck outa them. Doing any green, drop a little Opaline green in it to bring to next level. Same with opaline blue just little in white colors pops with a shimmer.
I use Snow shine hands down. Lot of shad bellies… almost every fish has a white belly..next the dead on chartreuse Neo is crazy bright! Trying to get motor oil…. Everyone’s out it seems. Thanks for your vid’s. Or not! Haha I have dropped few thousand on bait making….
If you were to do something like this again it would be cool to see like 1 run with say 15 drops and then another with 30 or so just to show how they look with different saturation.
I have 9 of the 10... I use chartreuse the most and emerald city the least. I can't get 1 color because of your video a few weeks ago 🤣🤣 I saw a changeable motor oil for sale on Facebook for 39 dollars, and I INSTANTLY knew I was in trouble! Your work is amazing!!
Exelente amigo .soy un fiel admirador de su trabajo .este molde para hacer los vinilos me encantó .ayúdeme a conseguir uno o donde adquirirlo .un afectuoso saludo de chile
I fish similar style baits for swim jig trailers in green pumpkin to imitate bream when bass are feeding around bream beds in may. Usually throw a lake fork hyper freak or a reaction innovation ugly otter. Thinkin this bait would be better. Where can i buy these? What are they called?
I committed on the last motor oil video and mine turned red. But come to find out if I take it outside I can see the greens and yellows so it works fine
I know you just got these mats but from working in a machine shop standing 12.5hrs a day, I highly recommend getting a memory foam mat to stand on. It doesn't seem like a big difference but I promise your legs will thank you later, I wanna keep you in good health so I can continue watching your videos! 😀
Sounds like a fuel line issue. Ours just got out of the shop for the same thing. Replace fuel line. We do ours ever year now because how bad the fuel degrades the line
I've been having a problem with denting using the core shot stick bait mold. I've tried shooting 330 degrees down to around 305 with a hot mold. I'm stuck on this and it's driving me nuts.. Can anyone here throw some knowledge my way. Plz and thank you
cheating, because i know you said you werent counting powders or black, but my top colors are (in no order): white pearl (powder) black black grape watermelon green pumpkin/gp brown maybe an honorable mention to baby bass. i have several more, but id probably get by with 85%+ of what i make with those colors. now, flake is a whole 'nother story. it seems like i never have the right color/size flake i want no matter how much i have.
Which was your favorite???
Gotta say, that scuppernong looks REAL good.
Chartreuse
I love that chartreuse wow it's actually looks chartreuse🤯... But my favorite cuz I used it a lot and get good ones on it is watermelon blue. 🤘🤙🤙
Chartreuse though I imagine the pearl white would out fish it
Black grape

Awesome video bro 🤙🏼🎣 , from Cuernavaca , Morelos México 🤙🏼😎
Greetings from North Florida!!
I use black grape a lot. Can’t wait to try the blue watermelon. Well done Mr. Jones!!!!
Fantastic video!!! Learning so much from your videos!...Cheers mate!
Love the start of the video 🥁🥁🥁🥁

Hi Chris, love your video. Any chance you have a video how that lure works in the water? Would really want to see it in action. Keep the video coming!
I am so glad that you FINALLY got your boat back. I would use the chartreuse, blue watermelon and white pearl.
💥💥
Hey Chris I’m thinking of getting into making plastic baits do u get all your supplies deadonplastics and what advice do u have on what to start out with for beginners
I get a lot of supplies from them
@ Curtis Lackner I would recommend the do it molds on tackle warehouse to start with
@@WorldsWorstFishing ok thanks for the info
@@lakehudsonbassinboys4970 thanks
@@curtislackner3286 no problem but when you get them put olive oil in the cavities

Liking the Changeable Motor Oil and Chartreuse
RedRum with a few drops of black and the right flake makes up my Merlot Bug color. I still need to get some of that motor oil color that stuff is gorgeous.
i use the moonshine and the watermellon blue alot, Plan on using the redrum and chartruese soon for some bed fishing stuff,
Those are cool colors. That lure mold would be cool as a core shot. It could be set up similar to the tube baits but smaller cores of course.
Thanks again for another informative vid. I am for sure going to get some of that red rum. I’ve seen you use it in the past but dang that’s nice.

Great video! Would be cool to see something similar for powder pigments, flake, and maybe top 10 random essentials.

I like what and chartruice. Do you have a double injector for that like a black and blue?

Little off topic.....core shot molds I have been trying to find them.....are they a custom made mold or is there a place I can buy one?
Another awesome video. Have the dead on colors. Snow shine probably used the most. Swimbaits ,flukes. Need to get the MF and lureworks colors still.
If you were to do something like this again it would be cool to see like 1 run with say 15 drops and then another with 30 or so just to show how they look with different saturation.

Whats your thoughts on matching merthiolate??
Hell yeah man thanks for the vid, I've been contemplating what all I need 😃
These are good choices in my opinion
Never can go wrong with white pearl. It works for every bait style.
Yep

I ordered some of the motor oil and I'm going to make some swim baits in the color with a white Pearl belly and chartreuse bloodline

I get my molds from Angling Ai molds in Michigan
If I’m using pigment powder do I heat the plastisol up first and then add the pigment or add the pigment first and then heat it up?
Very unique style of bait. Would
be very interested in see that thing in action rigging etc . Very interesting!! 👍

Could you do a quick vid on how that mold works in the water please.
What top 10 would you recommend for crappie or do you know of any one to answer question?
What is your favorite shad of brown from lureworks of you could only buy 1? Thank you, love the videos!
Scuppernong
Thank you!
So I'm sure you have mentioned it before but how long till you can open the mold?
Just a minute or two

Idk if it's possible or if the make the mold. I would love to see a pin fish mold
I think lurecraft sells a pinfish shaped mold
Love the motor oil
Black grape is my favorite!
It's a good one
You can also make it a awesome cut tail trailer..
I was looking for liks to all the products. Maybe you can re-list the post with the links?

For me here in Michigan (walleye) if I can't catch them on chartreuse, neo orange, or snow shine, I'm not going to catch them
Need to do a video matching Berkeley Pumpkin Seed. I'm out of ideas.

Emerald city is awesome. I'd love to see a junebug, emerald city laminate stickworm or ribbon tail
That pearl white would make a great trout belly color.
Absolutely
At what temp are you pouring I get dents in mine
I did not tempt my plastic but inject very slow and hold pressure
I loved the motor oil but my favorite was the watermelon blue . I wonder if there’s a way to make motor oil with other pigments
Red, brown and Chartreuse
@@WorldsWorstFishing thank you we gonna try to make it right now
So I clicked the link to watch this, and as soon as the theme music started I paused it to grab a beer and some chips. 🤣 (Now I'm ready to watch!)
Doing it right!
Scuppernong looks like Appleseed. :-) Greetings from Germany
Prost from Florida
Red for spring .
Is there a way to remove salt from the plastic?
I guess im my waters the motor oil, dark watermelon and blue watermelon would work the best, but i rly love my emerald green and my japan red.
I also make lures and you inspired me to start a channel
Awesome!!
This the video I wanted
What company is the candy cane mold from
Basstackle, might be at BTS molds now
Thanks
I like The motor oil
I think I have had to same problem with my boat it was the filters that filter the the water to the motor
Hmm
Motor oil is my favorite! Need I say more! ... yes I do... take my money!!
The gold and silver Dead On Paragon colors are also killer.
Agree

LW Mint Brown should be on your list. Dark Melon
I agree, I have that one I just did not reach for it I guess
I just use the red rum. its the best!
I love it
That white Pearl make more badass is if it was a core shot with bright color
All very good colors! My fave is the MF Watermelon/blue
Try their blue craw too

Agree
This video needed to be made 2 years ago lol. Now after 40 liquids and 30 powders later I know the 10 i most frequently use 😆
Haha nice
The Motoroil is the winner
$20.00 Amazon will get you some decent 1/2 inch foam mat's, Game changer.

It sure was weird..but the mechanic ran the piss outta it on a local lake and couldn't get it to act up, the computer didn't code any errors either
I bet if you were to mix that MF watermelon blue with the scuffernog you would get something very close to the MF motor oil changeable .
Black grape
That was the first mold I bought
Hell ya
motor oil rocks
dark watermelon for me
Find you a good good anti fatigue mat. Those are ok but a good mat will make a difference
Okay cool I was not sure which kind to get
@@WorldsWorstFishing I build cabinets, and I use horse stall mats from Tractor Supply. The are heavy but stand up well over time.
