Going down the rabbit hole looking for that perfect set up for my tate games while waiting for the slimmer wireless controllers to become available again. Seeing this I'm really loving the ergos and size and casually hoping they bring this design to full wireless as another revision of their original big wireless joycons. The size looks to be right in the middle of the large ones and the smaller bois on offer.
Oh another of my favorite controller types for Nintendo switch and by binbok. Didn't think they would this type of controller. ^^ Might look into this or the nexigo gen 2. This are my preferred method of joycon alternative when in handheld mode.
I personally prefer having the option of using controllers wirelessly, so I like the flexibility the Joy-Con style controllers offer. That said, this style looks really nice and I can see the appeal of a more sturdy feeling handheld experience
Just got this in the mail today. Gonna use it for my oled. I only play switch handheld so it's great for. I'm using the nyxi hyperion case for it which it fits in perfectly. Can't wait to play tears of a kingdom using this. It also has gyro capability in it.
Brother got this and i must say compare to the nexigo/dobe version the feel of this one does feel a bit better. Thumbstick arent as senstive and grip seems better with even dpad even. Currently have no joycons so thinking either using traditional joycon that nintendo makes or one of the alternatives im seeing. I used to use joycons for certain games that allowed me to use it and some were fun using the controller more than others. Do you recommend sticking with traditional joycon by nintendo or perhaps specific brand of joycon made by third party companies?
Didn't know the name of the controller when i typed it in RUclips as i wanted to see what feedback others had, i just got the clear rainbow version so I'm assuming the lights will be different on my controller as the whole thing lights up, i agree on the d pad its a bit stiff but i think over time the d pad will peform good enough, only downside is you can't use nfc with this controller so you will have to change back to the original joycons to do that but everything else is there, i brought this mainly because it had a proper d pad, rumble and gyroscope built in which is fair, thanks for the tip about the settings i need to do that when i install this controller, I'm curious to see how this would look on a OG v1 switch instead of a oled, guess i will soon find out 😊 have he done a full review of the controller would like to check that out also
BinBok, Nexigo, Nyxi - it's all the same. I have this exact controller labeled as the Nexigo Gripcon. It's the EXACT same mold. I'll switch it out for the Nyxi Hyperion Pro, which I didn't know about when I bought the Nexigon - despite being 2 Joycons it again is the EXACT same mold.
This looks exactly the same as the Linyuvo but its anyone's guess which is a clone of the other. The Nyxi also looks like the Binbok and Linyuvo so I'm guessing some OEM company made the same controller for 3 companies and just smack on a different name plate lol. I don't know how they can charge so low (compared to the Nyxi) with everything working perfectly out of the box. This grips are definitely miles away in comfort compared to the original joycons and the LEDs and adjustable vibration levels are certainly extra icing on the cake. I honestly wonder how the Chinese can make these very capable grip controllers and sell them at a much lower price than Nyxi. What remains to be seen is their longevity.
Love the steam deck also but it's too tinkery for me to bother with it anymore, some switch games I want to play don't work on the steam deck hence the reason I brought my v1 switch to life and use that instead, steam deck is still good for emulation and I will still use it for that, plus it's more difficult to use mods for switch games on the deck because of Linux, not a problem now on the switch so I'm gonna explore more of that
Have you tried the ovio grip? It's like the satisfy but it's only 25$. I have a pro controller with a mount, Hori split pad pro and now the ovio grip and so far it's my new favorite switch accessory. Haven't tried skull and co or satisfy personally
Bought this, waiting for it to arrive. Does this has the metal pins on the sides to hold the switch like some older similar models? A friend of mine used one a few years ago and scratched the switchs ink on the side. Also is there much center deadzone on the analog sticks? Thanks
Finished up on NSMB U deluxe with the D pad, I guess that is a win win situation, the D pad is far more comfortable than using the og switch joycon one that is for sure 👍
Not really into the rgb for this wired controller. I have a nexigo/done type controller like this that I love despite a few nitpicks. My eye is on nitrodeck that's coming out in few months.
@@bboy458 but its from the same factory though, its a matter of fine lines so either you get a binbok transparent joycons or hyperion while having your original joycons in the backseat
I like these controllers but so many companies having exact copy of one another just slapped with their brand name. My brother wants this since I have done the version he likes, but we both can't wait for nitrodeck but that's a few months away
Which switch do you have? Regular model? Or OLED model? If you watch the video, you'll see he says his is an OLED and did not have any issues plugging it in to the USB port.
Sounds like a manufacturing problem, I'd return that! As I mentioned and as the comment above said, my OLED works fine but I'm unsure if it fits the base Switch.
Gotta say this again.. they share the same manufacturer, but Binbok doesn't have the Hyperion.. yet their joy-cons are made in the same factory but they just slap their own brand on them.
So with that felt material up against the back of the Switch with a game that really heats up the Switch And for the vents Is the Switch gonna be able to get fresh air fast enough in that tiny space offered
I can't get mine to connect to my switch. I've tried turning the pro controller wired communication on and off multiple times. My nephew tried it on his switch, and it connects to his. He doesn't have the pro controller communication on though. Any tips would be helpful.
Is it possible to dock this with the controller on it? I feel like it would be tedious to remove the screen every time I wanna play on tv mode instead of handheld
Just a production comment. You have a red border around your thumbnail, this threw me off, and I almost didn't click on the video, as when I watch a video, RUclips shows a red bar across the bottom of the video, and they look very similar.
Binbok is the "original" but these days it feels liks Nyxi is going beyond on their improvements and Binbok is falling behind... Even if they are allegedly the same thing and are competing with themselves. This "wired" controller feels unnecesary tbh.
These are terrible. I bought the NYXI versions and I wish I didn't bother. These youtubers must be getting kickbacks recommending these terrible products.
I don't know, I got my transparent Hyperions through Nyxi for $47 and I don't think you can find anything better for the price, and it's certainly better than stock joycons. The only issue I have with it is the axis-sticking on the analog sticks, but I only play games like Pokémon where that doesn't affect the experience at all (just bugs me in an OCD sort of way). Even with that issue I'd say the sticks are better than the clunky miniaturized joycon sticks. Oh, I guess I should also say I really like the clicky D-Pad and I'd say it feels great whenever I use it
Really, I love these. I have the Dobe version and it's the only reason I play hand held. Plus the look and feel of them are way better than the little white joy cons.
NYXI Don't make a version of this. We get no kickback at all, other than a free sample to check out in a video. The main issue with most 3rd party, non licenced products, is consistency in manufacturing and build quality.
I bought the NYXI Hyperions. The best way forward after trying these and the Hori Split Pads is just to use the standard joycons with the NeoGrip. The NYXI feels cheap and tacky. As others have mentioned they are dropped shipped products so are cheap generic chinese stuff branded as either Nyxi, Binbok or any other name. They are however all the same because they come out of the same factory in china. They probably are only really worth £20 each but have their own massive mark up depending on which brand is stuck on them.

Retroflag
would u mind tell us why? Thanks in advance
Wish this came in green and blue animal crossing style coloring like the classic joycon binbok ones.
Looks a lot like the nixy Hyperion
Yeah, that's why I made a little joke in the video ;)
Wow, I would totally buy these if I still used my switch..... long live the steam deck which has no need for extra accessories to be comfortable.

No, I'm using a glass screen protector with no issues

Now that the two sides are connected, is it possible to map the left back paddle with right side buttons? That would be huge
Yes
Wait so it is possible ?
Really wish you can turbo the back buttons. Other than that I really like it.
I like the split pad compact better... A mouse doesn't have rumble or gyro... And that's fine with me.
