I just got this. I do like them. Good ergonomics. I’m not sure about the quality control though. The left joy con is very stiff to put on the switch rail. Right one goes on no problem.
Finally saw they were on preorder, shipping 12/2. I got these not for my switch but my Onexplayer Pro 2. Found an Etsy store that makes rail adapters. As an alternate/ backup if the ones that came with it break. This would also be an upgrade as these have Hall sticks plus wireless mode. Not the worst color combo with the purple EVA version.
I have the same mushiness problem on my Pros. I've been using them for the past month or so, probably one of the first to preorder them, and so far I do like them, but facts are facts - some buttons are mushy.
Does it work with PC out of the box? It's less tiring having your hands by your side with the separate halves, which makes a huge difference for my partner.

I dont belive its a problem with the potentiometer design but the cheap and nast materials they use nowadays.. back in the day you only heard about drift on cheap nast third party pads or the old faithfuls that were a decade old
This is just incorrect and using rose tinted glasses without research. Just as a random example the ps2 suffered from stick drift just as much as any other console, the thing is the console had a feature which countered the stick drift by making the dead zones bigger and bigger over time. The downside to this is your controllers out of your control and without your knowledge would keep getting more and more inaccurate until it was unusable anymore.

I have the older Hyperion's (not pro) in black - and they're worth every cent. Super comfortable and having the flexibility of regular joycons is fantastic - it makes the switch feel like a much more premium experience. Feels almost like an xbox pro controller without the weight (the razer wolverine for reference). Although now its made me want an ROG Ally or Legion Go off the back of the feel of it
got mine and was a little bummed, the back button on the left side only works to map left side face buttons, which is really just the triggers or D pad.... I can't get mine to map the left side to any of the (X,Y,B,A) buttons. Only the right side maps to the right side buttons. Anyone having the same issue or found how to fix?
Thanks for this review, i literally hate R/L/RT/LT buttons on my hyperion, and this was only reason for me to consider change to pro version, i see no change there so big NN for this joycons.I rather resign for rumble and gyro on hori than accept those triggers. I know you mentioned that you cannot set a macro to turbo so that it will repeat, but is it possible to create a turbo for one button and then have a macro on another and just hit the macro once every few seconds while allowing the turboed button to repeat? I am sorry if that sentence is confusing, but essentially I am trying to figure out if I can map a command for walking in an Arpg like path of exile or diablo to turbo so that it essentially keeps me walking perpetually, and then have a macro set up for my main skill and dash and flasks/potions that I would hit every few seconds while the turbo walking would continue through it. When you hit a macro command does it suspend the turboed button or would my use case be possible? My hope is to only hit the turbo walk button once per map and then hit just the macro button every few seconds while pointing the joystick in the right direction for movement. @128KB

Are there any controllers like this, switch style, that also have these extra buttons but also work for steam on PC? Like, I just bought an ASUS TUF A15 RTX 4070 gaming laptop for Black Friday, would they pair with that at all? I can’t find solid information, but some people are saying they connect, but don’t detect input on PC?
I got the Nyxi Hyperion black (not Pro, I think it's called Meteor something) and they look pretty af.... but they goddamn suck ass, could just be my specific manufactured unit, but the dpad is SO STIFF and is difficult to press and register any commands, you have to press really hard or otherwise no inputs get registered, and the left controller disconnectes from the console rail from the slightest movement, you have to keep it very steady so it doesn't happen (which is never going to happen, you can't help but shake your console/joycons here and there when playing action games or fighters). Try for example playing the Hollow Knight path of pain and it was the most frustrating experience, the left rail kept disconnecting and it was the worst. Not only that, but I cannot connect them on PC with BetterJoy, for some reason the right controller gets disconnected every 10 seconds and they have a weird error that doesn't let them register with BetterJoy; I got the Binboks and they work beautifully in both areas as compared to Nyxi Hyperion, so it makes me feel reluctant to buy the Pro.
