BF3 was fantastic! My first was actually BF1942, the very first BF game. Way back when we had dial up modems, or we just got adsl, can't quite remember. But that was so immense and truly an extraordinary experience. Coming from the fist doom and Duke nukem games, it changed everything.
The sound design in this game still is absolutely unmatched. The snappiness of bullets whizzing around, the patter of gunshots in the distance, even the whoop of a rocket flying by: amazing.
my favourite thing about this game is that the DLC's weren't some leftover maps that devs used to get some extra cash by releasing them later, they were all thought out parts of the game that you had to have, every one of them stood out and each added so much to overall experience.....
@@dnegel9546 It definitely launched in a much poorer state but I think the work DICE LA did towards the end of its life-cycle like Community maps and CTE and general refining of gameplay put it on a similar level to BF3
0:34 - Looking at that staircase just there, hit me right in the feels man. Reminising of some good memories of Rush on that map and attacking one of the M-Com objectives that used to be within a small building near there, I remember it being mayhem every time on a full server :'-)
@@Kasper-qr3in yea it is. It's annoying tbh, I've met players who can zip around at 5 times speed while everyone else is at like 3, and some players take much longer to kill than others. I suspect there's aimbot too XD But there's still many normal players, but the hackers/cheaters just ruin the experience overall (kinda like a horror game ngl)
Initially it was dubbed as “DICE iS tRyINg tO bE liKe cOd.” But those maps were my favorite. I feel like the fidelity was the highest because they weren’t so big, too.
Timeless classic. A BF3 Remaster and this would again be a game i’d play daily on console. It has one of the best and most fun formulas for replayability in a game.
This game was my first Battlefield game and I loved it so much that I went back and bought some of the prior games and then the ones that came out afterwards. It’s such a fun and enjoyable game to me. A little while later my cousin ending up showing me your channel and I’ve been subscribed ever since.
It was when I first took someone’s tags in the beta that I knew this was MY game. I remember your bf3 day one video. An absolute beast at this game used to get banned and removed when they introduced rent a server. Ended with the knife being the weapon I had the most kills with. A lot of good memories
This game got me into PC gaming and inspired my build this year. I played this on a laptop and it was still better than any console version. I was hooked
Best BF ever in my personal and humble opinion, period. Would give anything for a faithful remake of this game with all new and improved mechanics from later BFs...
You dont want a remake they would screw it up like they currently are with the cod remakes. All's it needs is higher frame rate and slightly revamped graphics. But leave the physics alone
@@cjsnidlio9409 agree not a fan of the newer engines if they used 2042’s engine it would just feel like portal , I prefer this engine it was more realistic and it had a gritty feel , just give us this but 60fps and better resolution

This was hands down the best game ever made. I’ll never forget the first time playing strike at Karkand on bf3 the day it released. Brought me back to bf2 nostalgia on such an awesome game
For me it was rush on that map with the highway and its night time i forget the name but i remember getting a headset just for this game and the audio was so amazing to experience, laying out in a field sniping hearing the bugs buzzing and the fellow soldiers just yelling "someone get me the hell out of here!" Or "Im going to fucking die out here" ass to it and it was just amazing
I remember a round of Rush on wake Island. The attacking team and it seemed we all worked together and made our way along the island, is a round i wont ever forget.
I loved bf3 my favorite game mode was CTF just playing as a engineer using mines in the base to kill enemies and Javelin for bikes was so fun I miss those days.
Awesome video and amazing memories playing this with friends. And those moments when you loose control of the camera once the backstabbing animation starts ... And obviously that c4'jeep iconic! Thank you
Ah this brings back some great memories. I played BC2 for years after my dad got me into it then I remember this game releasing n being so stoked for all the new expansions when they dropped after getting upgrading to premium. The fact it’s still going strong just speaks for itself
you can just see the love and care that went into the maps and the game in general. It looks soo much more gritty than what they realease nowadays.. you can really see the decline over the years with all the original devs leaving :/
still playing on PS3 every week, servers are still running and the community is very competitive now only +1500h players playing, and proud to be one of them, BF3 is an all time classic

Just about everything about BF3 was peak Battlefield, gun play, maps, music, hype trailers leading up to release, even the single player campaign was memorable.
Pc gaming is still quite new for me (about 3 months I think). I've always preferred BF3 over BF4 and so the pc version has been a delight to experience. P. S. I was already good at k&m by the time my gaming pc was build (played pc games on geforce now on xbox); so I've been able to play BF3 and other Bfs on pc pretty well!
I've played this game since 2013 and accumulated around +1600hrs, 1586hrs for the multiplayer, 60hrs dedicated to the Campaign (only 300 hrs of BF4, 80hrs of BF1, 100hrs of BFV) because the Campaign mode deserved me playing through it at least 50 times, and I can tell you now, I've *_never_* @12:56 seen this happen, like ever! You are special my friend.
I still remember all the hours with friends spent in this game, especially when the close quarters dlc came out. That was such an insane change of pace when it dropped that my friends and I would play for hours on end. Good to see the game is still going strong

I really liked the somewhat lower pace in this game. Time to notice you were being shot at and with what, more time to react, to change tactics, get more feeling with each weapon. So much fun.
This game still looks insane graphically. DICE really did lead the game industry for years in terms of graphics. Aesthetic and lighting really make all the difference. I think that is why it surpasses 2042 and a lot of modern games
The "enemy killed" pop us is so simple and nice not all colorful of with the little skull idk something about the simplicity of that alone when i first played was nice to see
Call of Duty 4 was really cool because they made those single player missions with the AC-130 and the stealth sniper mission. Then Battlefield 3 was like let's do all that stuff but make it multiplayer. That's why I loved Battlefield 3 so much.
I still play it, and its my main FPS. Quit cs, quit other games and focused on this. Still magic as its release. Love it, hope Ill find you on a server these days :D

@@Mr_Mistah of course, but the player counts will never be where they once were. Less friends will be playing it as the older consoles people played it on become obsolete and possibly sold off. Basically, while the game itself is still fun, it's the inability to make more of those fun times as easily that hurts.

Jack, it is those 'stupid' BF3 moments of exploding jeeps, not working things that gave it its charm. The "Dice, Please!!!" times made us laugh and have so much fun. I'm sure that is also your memory of the game. Superbe silly things and heaps of fun!
I remember striding down the hall of my dorm after walking over to Gamestop with two copies in hand of this game, one for PS3 and one for PC, so I could play with friends on different systems. Good times. I wish BF3 and BFBC2 Vietnam servers would become well populated again.
This game was made with one thing in mind: Immersion The graphics, first-person experience, suppression effects, yelling soldiers, those were meant to simulate how it feels like to be a soldier in the field, and it's not even a milsim. BF1 was able to replicate the immersion, but no other BF game in the series came close to this.
i think i speak for everyone when i say we all love battlefield content and we wish the videos were longer cause god dammit boy this game is still blowing minds and warming hearts

@@mattodonthepc4001 I prefer 3s maps for rush but BF4 is really BF3 but with movement. Less focus on gunplay because of it but its an element I like.
BF3 was an absolute classic. It deserves a true remaster.
Just a simple graphics and server side update. Let’s keep the feel and mechanics the same.

Battlefield 3's gunplay, campaign and multiplayer is legendary. This was my first multiplayer shooter. And I enjoyed every second of this great game.

I loved BF3 so many classics, but the close quarters DLC was epic. Especially on that high rise map the destruction and chaos was so good.

Talah Market was such a good infantry map. BF3 had by far the best assortment of maps for every mode and playstyle.

Strike at Karkand was easily my fav. The map design coupled with no air vehicles made it absolute perfection for what I look for in BF.

I recently replayed the BF3 singleplayer campaign, still a fantastic experience!
I love bf3 the most. It's just special. When the dlc came out it was such a wonderful feeling

Hey Jack, BF3 does still have 2 or 3 Xbox servers through backwards compatibility but nowhere near the amount of people on console playing BF5 or BF4.

Bf1942,desert combat, forgotten hope, BF2, and BF3 were my jam. Haven’t played a battlefield title after 3.
Bf4 was great once they sorted it out and still has a pretty large community playing

BF3 and it's DLC had the best Maps in the series by far, still love BFBC2, BF4 and BF1 but BF3 was as close to perfection as it gets.
