Hi. I'm curious about how well the case has held up over time. Has the material withstood daily use well? Has the black paint shown any signs of wear from friction? Thanks!
@@RucoMedia Hi mate! 👋 I did an inspection not too long ago, and it’s holding up really well! 👌 Do keep in mind though, I don’t wear this watch daily as I have a lot to rotate through 😁
You can stretch cling film over your screwdriver tips to make them not scratch. (May have to use a driver that is slightly smaller, but in most cases not)
Hi Shifter, I believe the Steel and Titanium kits will be identical to each other, though I don't know how they would compare to the original resin straps. 🤔 Perhaps comparing between the AliExpress listing, and the Casio Website might reveal the answer!
Also, did you review the Titanium upgrade kit? What is the biggest difference between this one and the steel one? Steel weighs more? Would love your thoughts. Thanks.
@@deadonit1967 Indeed I did! 👌 I have done a couple of comparison, which show the weight and durability differences: ruclips.net/video/wyCv-9xZX1c/видео.html ruclips.net/video/3Cxu9-xzkFg/видео.html No problem, my friend! 🙏 Happy to help.
Man, they are so much better. I’m not sure why Casio don’t use them as default! Nobody is accidentally pressing the buttons on G-Shock squares 😅 Cheers Huckleberry! 🙏 They can be hard to find.
hi. I bought a Steel kit a month ago and everything worked out perfect, just like this video. And then, I wanted to try out the Titanium version, so I bought and received it yesterday. What a piece of junk that was. first, the clasp did not lock in securely. No assuring click sound and I really had to press it really hard to get it locked. Pain in the ass. Also, as for one lug, the spring bar did not click in at all. I tried and tried for 30 minutes and finally gave up and used a regular spring bar (without easy quick release) and it worked! As for the shitty clasp, I had to change to my previous Steel version of clasp to get it working. Not happy with the quality of Titanium version. How was your experience? please tell us about it. thanks
Hi Alex! Glad to hear you’re happy with your steel upgrade kit. 😁 Interesting… It sounds like the Titanium kit was inferior in every way! Were both kits ordered from the same listing, and seller? 🤔 I have a video comparing the scratch resistance of the Titanium and Steel kits, that I think you need to see: ruclips.net/video/wyCv-9xZX1c/видео.html Hope this helps! 🙏
Saying honestly, i prefer the resin one which are stock ones. I prefer usage over looks specially if the looks decreases the usability This mod decreases the legibility, makes the watch heavier, make you worry about the metal bravelet getting scratches, and the most big factor ie you cant put your watch above your jacket or anything as you can with the resin strap. ❤
I appreciate the honesty, Talib! 🙌 I can see what you mean. The normal straps are actually incredibly well designed, and resilient! 👌 I agree with most of your points - Though will add that I haven't noticed an impact on legibility. Overall the upgrade is a trade-off of Style VS Practicality, a choice which will be different for everyone 😀 Thanks so much for weighing in! 🙏
I did the same upgrade and love it. The small spring bars in the bracelet links are a revelation! Think it looks great and wears well too. The clasp is nice, bit of a light click, but great for the cost
@@goatreviews no it's been perfect, think it just sounds thin when it clicks into place. Best fitting bracelet, nice and comfortable, no sharp edges and I think the bezel makes the overall watch thinner too. The spring bars in each bracelet link is still the best bit, makes it a breeze to fit
My husband have a g-shock that is waterproof and he did some upgrade by himself and end up becoming not waterproof 😂 I hope you’re doing it more carefully
I was thinking the same..I restored my dw6600 few years back..and even genuine parts does not fit 100%. There was still 1mm gap. 🥲 Since then..it's in the dry 😄
A bezel/bracelet replacement does not affect watertightness. The watch itself is in a self-contained capsule. You hubby must have got something terribly wrong :) Zs
@@gamestop9850 Thanks GameStop. I’d love to hear more about the how to ground the G-Shock? BTW, agree on the importance of the O-Ring care! I’ve got a special O-Ring lube kit which I featured in my latest Watch video - check it out for an update!
Fair call, Lone Ranger! I’m testing to see how the Steel Kit holds up over time, but I can say the Titanium kit was worn for about 9 months with minimal damage (only where there was metal on metal contact) I’ve done a couple of videos talking about this :)
2 weeks ago i bought a silver full metal gmw5000. I planed to buy a very nice case and bracelet for when it will be scratched, but sering how hard is to change, i end up buying CapeCode polishing cloth!
Fantastic pickup, Cristi! 🤩⌚️ What about the bracelet and case change seems hardest for you? Wow - haven’t heard of that cloth. Better than a Microfiber I assume 😁
@@goatreviews Its my mistake, i wanted to reply to a different video, the one 'i killed my g-shock'. From what i see in this video its pretty simple with this kind of kit. Thank you.
What a Fantastic question! Each have their advantages: - The Titanium Kit is definitely lighter! Though, it is substantially more expensive, at about twice the price. I did find it accumulated some wear on the bezel (my fault with the bull bar) and the strap ‘contact points’ (Metal on metal) did wear down over time. - The Steel Kit is more affordable, at the cost of being heavier. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. My Scratch Test video surprisingly proved that the Steel Kit is also more resilient to scratches! I haven’t owned it for as long, but it’s showing less signs of wear than the Titanium kit. Given my experience with each, I would say I prefer the Steel Kit! In fact, I’m wearing it as I type this 🤩 If you are ‘weighing up’ which model to purchase, I hope this info has given you an idea of what’s best for you 😊
Great question, Stephen! 👌 It depends on what is more desirable for you - Low weight, or scratch resistance? And is the difference worth the price to you? Here's 2 videos I made comparing the kits, which will be useful in making your decision 🙂 ruclips.net/video/wyCv-9xZX1c/видео.html ruclips.net/video/3Cxu9-xzkFg/видео.html Hope this helps! 🙏
Sometimes the listings don't show the G-Shock text, even when it is included. The best idea is to check the feedback with photo's to see if other people's have the logo or not 😉
Great question! 👌 There is no warning about losing the ability to swim with it, and I have taken mine into pools, and showers without any issue of rusting. I have heard people advise in general to avoid leaving salt water on the watch to dry though!
That's right, Nick! It's a 3495 Module. The old Titanium kit which I used fit on it's "3461" Module, but I am not using the strap from that kit and it fit's fine on the 3495
Oh man, another mod that's bangin' hard! Looks like it's a lot easier than the MR-G mod you did. I'll have to consider this one since I already own the 5610.
Sure is! 😎 Absolutely. It's substantially easier than the MR-G (No lens or pusher swap) so I can honestly say ANYONE can do. Also, since you've already got a 5610, it's a NO-BRAINER! 🧠 Cheers Ba-Gawk! 🙏🐤
I have compared the Steel and Titanium side by side, and the designs are extremely similar to the point where I did not notice any differences. However I definitely did not have THIS MUCH TROUBLE getting the Spring Bars in when I did the Titanium Kit! BTW, 'cracking' was not what ended up breaking my GW-B5600 :)
I'm sorry if it's covered in the video but I'm at work and didn't have time to watch it all. But does the bracelet in this kit have push pins or screws?
It's a great watch indeed - I'm loving it! Thanks Guðmundur - I'll get around to recording a detailed review of my experience with the Titanium kit, and how I broke it for you!
Thanks Jason. Can you clarify which functions you’re referring to? The only thing which is coming to mind is Bluetooth. The Titanium kit I did using a GW-B5600, I did not notice any differences :)
It sure is, David! Upgrading the bezel and strap has zero effect on the waterproof rating. (If you weee to perform a lens swap, or button swap, it may be affected depending on how well you do the swap) As for being shockproof, although we didn’t work on the internal module, I would argue that it is now LESS shockproof since the metal case wouldn’t be as bouncy as rubber or resin.
Nice video, the mod bracelet what I don’t like about it has the Bluetooth logo. And I’m wondering about the lug to lug is the male endlink bend or it’s female endlink?
Thanks Michel! Fair point. I don’t mind the Bluetooth logo, as it’s quite small and it is accurate when installed on some 5600 series like my last Titanium kit. The lug-to-lug size is affected by the 2 closest links which are very rigid. This increases the effective lug-to-lug from about 49mm, all the way up to 58mm
Great question, Nguyễn! I've just done a measurement for you. The OLD "Rubber" Bezel had a lug to lug of about 48mm by my measurements. The Steel version is very SLIGHTLY bigger, at about 49mm. However, please note that the FIRST LINK on both the top, AND the bottom of the watch becomes FIXED (and very rigid) with this upgrade kit. This essentially increases the 'effective' lug to lug distance to about 58mm!
Just received it and installed it. Here is my two opinions after trying it. 1. No matter what you do its a fake, you cant feel good wearing a fake. 2. This model as (cool as it looks) is not a watch for dressing up and going out, it just looks like a cheap casio that any teenager has so Im back to wearing my SS GMW-b5000D. Glad I didn't blow the money on the real deal.
Thanks for weighing in, FunPlayMix! I have mixed feelings about wearing it. On one hand the bezel and strap aren’t genuine, but I do feel better knowing I got almost the same look for much better value. Great! That’s what’s good about these kits - it’s a way to see if you like the look without committing thousands of dollars. Hope you’re enjoying your B5000! 🤩
I'm wondering if this would fit an apple watch with spring bar adapters... It seems possible but might look funky. 🤔 I might have to try it. One thing is for sure, it would blow all other apple watch bands out of the water.
Interesting idea! 🤔 The bezel would be a completely different shape, but the straps you’re in with a chance. Take a look at the end links of the strap though 👀 Even with an adapter, wouldn’t it poke out a bit, or not fit snugly? Unless it was a very particular adapter shape. (I’m struggling to envision a way in which it looks natural 😅) What are your thoughts?
@@goatreviews I’ve been searching for a decent steel bracelet for my Apple Watch and I can’t get over this one (I have a custom GMW B5000 with a genuine TVA bracelet on it). If I had one of these kits I would check if I could make it work (without the bezel, obviously). Honestly I don’t think it would fit very well, but I might get one for the heck of it and, worse case scenario, buy a 5610 and slap the kit on it later.
Awesome! Looks like you’ve even got a backup plan in mind. Best of luck with it man! Please do share your results in the Discord if you wouldn’t mind - we’d love to see this 👀👌
G’day Brian, great question! I’d love to help you find one that fits your GW5000. I had a close look at the listing I posted, and it did NOT mention GW5000 as compatible… BUT! I was able to find one for you that specifically DOES mention your model number! a.aliexpress.com/_mKR9iUy Hope this helps, and let me know your thoughts 🙏
Hey mate do you think the white print text on the left and right bezel sides would come off it were attempted. How is the red part supplied is it a decal. Can it also be removed??
G’day John! 👋 I just checked for you. My text is still holding strong after all this time! I suppose if you wanted to, you could try rubbing it away with chemicals but you may risk damaging the finish. The red part visible through the 2 holes on the bezel is simply taped on, and could easily be removed! I’ve seen some that have a plastic insert, which is also removable. Hope this helps! 🙏
Bro I have extremely problems to connect the bracelet to watch the spring bar is not connectimg to both holes 5610u I tried it for several hours any ideas?
Oh man!... That's rough Ozan, I remember struggling with mine for quite a while too! The best advice I have is to make sure your remove the bezel completely first, and THEN go for the straps while that's off. Also, try and get one side of the springbar in easily while it's poking out, and then pivot the rest in, and use the springbar too (and pray! 🙏) Hope this helps!
G’day Heuy! 👋 That’s a really good point, that I should clarify. A lot of the bezels I purchase often don’t SHOW the G-Shock text in the listing photos, or sometime blur it. I assume this is to do with copyright? However, the ones I’ve bought do still have it printed, unless they specifically state “no text” or similar. The way I usually tell is by checking peoples photos in the feedback to see if there’s came with the text, or otherwise reading the listing description carefully for clues. As a last resort, you could even reach out to the seller with a direct message to find out for sure 😁 Hope this helps! 🙏 Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for weighing in!
Great point, Mandi! Some listing photos do not show this text on the case, even when they actually include it! (I believe for copyright reasons). The best way to know for sure is to check the feedback and reviews left by other buyers at the bottom of the page. There you will see the truth as to whether it includes the text or not 😉
Hey I've been looking at different ones on AliExpress and it sounds like is they don't show the G-SHOCK logo for legal issues, but then do they ship it with them? I haven't been able to get a real answer from sellers.
G'day Juffurey, great question! I can't vouch for all sellers, obviously, as there are so many! BUT, from personal experience, I have indeed ordered from listings that don't show the G-Shock logo (As you said I suppose for legal reasons) and received a bezel which has the correct G-Shock Logo! 👌 It's still a gamble, though - So the only way to be absolutely certain, is to either ask the seller directly, OR easier yet, check the reviews and ratings for ones with pictures, and make sure you see one showing the logo 😊 Hope this helps! 🙏
Great question, Kenneth! 🙏 No real noticeable scratches to report - though keep in mind I rotate through a lot of watches so this isn’t always on my wrist. You may wish to see the condition for yourself in my latest collection update video, during the viewer question answering towards the start: ruclips.net/video/plMlPUoeo3E/видео.html
Too true, @leewmlee ! In that case, the resin case might be more appropriate. While the metal ones are scratch resistant, you do still have to be mindful.
Kool I got the original TVA So I didn't need this upgrade, also picked it up for under 1k. Although this is a nice upgrade, It will lack Authenticity, Sapphire Glass, IP Coating, laser edging, etc etc. Plus there is no way of knowing what kind of metal we are getting, it can even be a hard aluminum? Nonetheless, I would def do this upgrade to one of my 5600's for when I travel out of the country, this way if something should happen, It won't be such a big loss for me.
That’s awesome, Elevo. I’m impressed you found it for such a great price! Fair points! It seems like it’s a Titanium mix of some kind - all I know is it does weigh less than the steel. That’s a great idea! 💡 Better to keep the original safe.
The picture on ali express doesn't say g shock or protection on the bezel but it does on the one you have. Do they not show it on their site but it's actually on the bezel or have they changed the bezel to actually not say it?
Great observation! I believe you’re onto it. It looks like they strategically don’t show the ‘branding’ for copyright reasons, but it does have it on once it arrives :)
Good question, Gonzo. I have just checked and they sure do! If you check the AliExpress link I’ve left in the description, there’s an option to select Titanium for this model.
@@goatreviews Thanks man. Oh was it just added? If it was there before, my bad, I didnt check your shared links. Price is doubled compared to the SS. I might think that over.
@@goatreviews I just did. The weight comparison between the SS and Titanium was definitely helpful. @@paulmcnamara2908 All good Paul! In that case, to answer your original question, I know the straps are compatible between 5600 and 5610 but I can’t be certain about the bezels. I know from experience I was able to try my old 5600 titanium bezel onto my 5610 and it fit! However I don’t want you to buy the wrong size, especially if they have a separate selection for 5610. You’d think means there’s a substantial difference! Yes it’s well worth having an account for AliX - heaps of cool stuff at great prices. That’s awesome! RC cars are a pretty cool hobby too 😎
@goatreviews RC cars and trucks are just as expensive as watches that's for sure! Yeah just wondering as can get band/bezal sets for as little as £30 and was thinking of risking it at that price! 😱

Hey, sadly, despite you making a lot of content about the GW-M5610U, I was not able to find your usual review of the watch, this kinda sucks because with these Casios, I usually rely on your sleepy goat alarm test when determining if the watch has a loud enough alarm as I'm also a heavy sleeper. If at all possible could you please say if the alarm on this watch is loud enough to wake you up reliably and did these mods affect the loudness of the alarm at all? I've been watching videos and reading up on this watch for a while now, and it really seems like the perfect G-Shock for me, but one issue that pops up every once in a while in the discussions about it is that the alarm is very quiet compared to other Casios, and as testing the alarm is one of the things you usually do on your channel, I thought you could remember it, even though I know it's been almost two years now lol :D
G'day a70r! 👋 I am glad to hear you value the Sleepy GOAT Alarm Test 😁 My apologies for the brief review here, I was so excited for the mod, and didn't go in to much depth. If I'm being honest, I haven't done much testing of the alarm before or after the mod, so it is difficult for me to say. I have just done a test of the modded M5610U alarm for you, and compared it to the A158W which I am currently wearing (Which is indeed loud enough to wake me up each day without issue! 🤩👌) I would say that the 5610 has a higher pitched alarm than the deeper A158W (So it may be harder to hear for older ears), and the volume sounds slightly lower than the A158W. I hope this helps, my friend! 🙏
I'm not a fan of the square G-Shocks. I have a Gravitymaster GPW-2000, Gravitymaster GRB-100 and a Protrek WSD F-20. Though I do love the details on the strap of your watch. Awesome work with the replacement. Cheers!

The only thing I don't like about the steel band is that stupid writing all over the clasp, it makes it look tacky and cheap AF. They should've put all that writing on the inside of the clasp where it was hidden from view bc it ruins the look imo.

@@frankschroth4038 No worries Frank. No wear on the steel bezel so far! The only Colour that has scratched off was on the Titanium version - which I wore for 9 months, that the wear has been areas that contact other metal, such as the links near the clasp

No problem, my friend! 🙏 Happy to help.
Note for future brother. Use a bit of masking tape on the screwdriver or just some cling film to avoid accidental scratching.
What a great tip! Thanks so much for sharing Sai, I’ll keep this in mind for next time
good advice )) actually it would be better to tape the whole bracelet during installation and length maintaining process.
I've been on the lookout for larger pushers like how you installed on your MR-G. If I find any I'll link them here
Man, they are so much better. I’m not sure why Casio don’t use them as default! Nobody is accidentally pressing the buttons on G-Shock squares 😅
Cheers Huckleberry!
Interesting… It sounds like the Titanium kit was inferior in every way! Were both kits ordered from the same listing, and seller? 🤔
I have a video comparing the scratch resistance of the Titanium and Steel kits, that I think you need to see:

Hope this helps! 🙏
When doing these conversions, attach the metal bracelet first before attaching the bezel
Legend! Thanks for the tip, Mr Black Hat 🎩
I’ll be implementing this advice for my next upgrade 👀
Saying honestly, i prefer the resin one which are stock ones. I prefer usage over looks specially if the looks decreases the usability
This mod decreases the legibility, makes the watch heavier, make you worry about the metal bravelet getting scratches, and the most big factor ie you cant put your watch above your jacket or anything as you can with the resin strap. ❤
I appreciate the honesty, Talib! 🙌 I can see what you mean. The normal straps are actually incredibly well designed, and resilient! 👌
I agree with most of your points - Though will add that I haven't noticed an impact on legibility. Overall the upgrade is a trade-off of Style VS Practicality, a choice which will be different for everyone 😀
Thanks so much for weighing in! 🙏
I did the same upgrade and love it. The small spring bars in the bracelet links are a revelation! Think it looks great and wears well too. The clasp is nice, bit of a light click, but great for the cost
Glad to hear you’re happy with it too, Andrew! Have you ever had the clasp come undone during normal wear?
@@goatreviews no it's been perfect, think it just sounds thin when it clicks into place. Best fitting bracelet, nice and comfortable, no sharp edges and I think the bezel makes the overall watch thinner too. The spring bars in each bracelet link is still the best bit, makes it a breeze to fit
how does it hold up after months of using it?? does the black paint on the steel last long?
@@dopechicken7422 still perfect. The prices have dropped now too so cheaper to replace if there were an issue

My husband have a g-shock that is waterproof and he did some upgrade by himself and end up becoming not waterproof 😂 I hope you’re doing it more carefully
Thanks Charlie! Haha, I will be touching on this in an upcoming video of the Titanium kit!
You hubby must have got something terribly wrong :)

@@gamestop9850 Thanks GameStop.
I’d love to hear more about the how to ground the G-Shock?
BTW, agree on the importance of the O-Ring care! I’ve got a special O-Ring lube kit which I featured in my latest Watch video - check it out for an update!
🤣🤣🤣
Looks good but as soon as it gets a few scrapes and scratches it will look bad. Also it's trebled the weight. I will leave mine as standard
Fair call, Lone Ranger!
I’m testing to see how the Steel Kit holds up over time, but I can say the Titanium kit was worn for about 9 months with minimal damage (only where there was metal on metal contact)
I’ve done a couple of videos talking about this :)
2 weeks ago i bought a silver full metal gmw5000. I planed to buy a very nice case and bracelet for when it will be scratched, but sering how hard is to change, i end up buying CapeCode polishing cloth!
Fantastic pickup, Cristi! 🤩⌚️
What about the bracelet and case change seems hardest for you?
Wow - haven’t heard of that cloth. Better than a Microfiber I assume 😁

Its my mistake, i wanted to reply to a different video, the one 'i killed my g-shock'.
From what i see in this video its pretty simple with this kind of kit.
Thank you.
Now that you have had the Mech Style mod for a while which you do prefer the steel or the titanium version?
What a Fantastic question! Each have their advantages:
- The Titanium Kit is definitely lighter!
In fact, I’m wearing it as I type this 🤩
If you are ‘weighing up’ which model to purchase, I hope this info has given you an idea of what’s best for you 😊
Just about to do this for my gshock ga2100 so thanks for posting chap👍
All good, Paul! Good luck. I can’t wait for my next mod! 👀
Trying to decide if the titanium version is worth the extra cost over the steel. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Great question, Stephen! 👌 It depends on what is more desirable for you - Low weight, or scratch resistance? And is the difference worth the price to you?

Where do you get the kit with the GShock written on the bezel? I’ve only ever seen blank bezel kits
Sometimes the listings don't show the G-Shock text, even when it is included. The best idea is to check the feedback with photo's to see if other people's have the logo or not 😉
hello goat! with this virtual armor strap can i swim with the swatch? or is lose properties?
Great question! 👌 There is no warning about losing the ability to swim with it, and I have taken mine into pools, and showers without any issue of rusting. I have heard people advise in general to avoid leaving salt water on the watch to dry though!
The 5610u should have the 3495 module so I guess that bracelet was for the previous model
So does this mod kit have a different design vs the titanium one, that puts less pressure & stress on the plastic lugs, so this one won't crack?
I have compared the Steel and Titanium side by side, and the designs are extremely similar to the point where I did not notice any differences. However I definitely did not have THIS MUCH TROUBLE getting the Spring Bars in when I did the Titanium Kit! BTW, 'cracking' was not what ended up breaking my GW-B5600 :)
I'm sorry if it's covered in the video but I'm at work and didn't have time to watch it all. But does the bracelet in this kit have push pins or screws?
No worries Jason! The bracelet has push pins - and the upgrade kit does include a special tool to remove them. Have a great day!
@@goatreviews awesome I'm definitely picking up this kit thanks for the recommend!

can i use the case only and keep the original rubber band ?
Absolutely, David! I’ve found the parts to be compatible sizes, so you could just swap the bezel if you wish. 👌
the button label functions on the watch dont line up with the upgrade kit
Thanks Jason. Can you clarify which functions you’re referring to? The only thing which is coming to mind is Bluetooth.
The Titanium kit I did using a GW-B5600, I did not notice any differences :)
@@goatreviews its ok. I had another look at a different angle and while they do line up, its not obviously clear at first glance.
Hi, is the Original Upper Dial of the GWM5610U still in your possession or have you discarded it ?
Hi Charudatta! 👋
It sure is. I’ve kept it in my watch tool box 🧰😉 Why do you ask?
after this upgrade the case still waterproof ? and shockproof ?
It sure is, David! Upgrading the bezel and strap has zero effect on the waterproof rating. (If you weee to perform a lens swap, or button swap, it may be affected depending on how well you do the swap)
As for being shockproof, although we didn’t work on the internal module, I would argue that it is now LESS shockproof since the metal case wouldn’t be as bouncy as rubber or resin.
Would you know if the DW5600 kit fits on the GW-B5600 version?
Hi Jay! 👋 Yes, the DW5600 and GW-B5600 kits are listed as compatible with each other. 👌
Hi, how does the mod change the lug to lug dimension of the watch?
Great question, Nguyễn! I've just done a measurement for you. The OLD "Rubber" Bezel had a lug to lug of about 48mm by my measurements. The Steel version is very SLIGHTLY bigger, at about 49mm. However, please note that the FIRST LINK on both the top, AND the bottom of the watch becomes FIXED (and very rigid) with this upgrade kit. This essentially increases the 'effective' lug to lug distance to about 58mm!
@@goatreviews ah that sounds like a no go for small wrists
@@ndquoctrong Sadly, that’s correct. For my 6.75” wrist it works out, but as you get much smaller than that, I can see it would start to leave a gap.

I'm wondering if this would fit an apple watch with spring bar adapters... It seems possible but might look funky. 🤔 I might have to try it. One thing is for sure, it would blow all other apple watch bands out of the water.
Interesting idea! 🤔
The bezel would be a completely different shape, but the straps you’re in with a chance.
Take a look at the end links of the strap though 👀
Even with an adapter, wouldn’t it poke out a bit, or not fit snugly? Unless it was a very particular adapter shape. (I’m struggling to envision a way in which it looks natural 😅)
What are your thoughts?
@@goatreviews I’ve been searching for a decent steel bracelet for my Apple Watch and I can’t get over this one (I have a custom GMW B5000 with a genuine TVA bracelet on it). If I had one of these kits I would check if I could make it work (without the bezel, obviously). Honestly I don’t think it would fit very well, but I might get one for the heck of it and, worse case scenario, buy a 5610 and slap the kit on it later.

Hey mate do you think the white print text on the left and right bezel sides would come off it were attempted. How is the red part supplied is it a decal. Can it also be removed??
G’day John! 👋
I just checked for you.

G’day Heuy! 👋
That’s a really good point, that I should clarify.
As a last resort, you could even reach out to the seller with a direct message to find out for sure 😁
Hope this helps! 🙏 Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for weighing in!

In the photos on AliExpress I don't see the words g shock and protection
It's still a gamble, though - So the only way to be absolutely certain, is to either ask the seller directly, OR easier yet, check the reviews and ratings for ones with pictures, and make sure you see one showing the logo 😊
Hope this helps! 🙏
How did it hold up to scratches after all these times?

@@goatreviews it's so tempting to do the mod but I am forever bashing my watch face against things 😞

G'day a70r! 👋 I am glad to hear you value the Sleepy GOAT Alarm Test 😁
My apologies for the brief review here, I was so excited for the mod, and didn't go in to much depth.
I would say that the 5610 has a higher pitched alarm than the deeper A158W (So it may be harder to hear for older ears), and the volume sounds slightly lower than the A158W.
I hope this helps, my friend! 🙏

Amazing, right? Cheers for the support, Maker Brain! 🧠
Hermoso video, ya lo quiero!!! 🙏
Gracias Erick. ¡Es un reloj hermoso! 🤩⌚️
Looks like it would be really hard to push the buttons.
You’re onto it, Brian! That’s probably my one dislike of this watch. But it’s not often I need to press them, even the backlight can turn on just by raising my wrist!
For times when I need nice, big buttons, I’ll stick to my GD-350 😎
Sadly this particular model is not available in India
Greetings from Australia, Das Babu! 👋
Ah man! I’m sorry to hear that.
What kind of options are most commonly available for you in India?
@@goatreviews only two watches from g shock with multiband 6 available in India one is rangeman another is mudmaster. I have rangeman I think now I am left with only one option that is import.
@@dasbabu7261 Thanks for sharing that Babu. That is a very limited selection indeed. If you think it’s worth it, importing may be the way to go!
I'm curious how this bracelet looks after a month
Good point Bartosz, perhaps I’ll put the steel strap back on to test this.
Right now I’m wearing the Titanium strap, which has been worn for over 9 months with minimal damage (only the points of direct metal on metal contact). Check out my video on “How I killed my G-Shock” for a full explanation!
Да, очень круто смотрятся. Спасибо что показал.
Они точно есть, Виктор! Рад, что вам понравилось. Хорошего дня
Could of just spent a grand on real deal then the kit plus a watch. Dlc coating on real watch is amazing
Thanks for the suggestion, Stevie 🙏
For my needs, I’d prefer the “value” option of doing it this way for now, as the real deal isn’t within reach.
Ooh, awesome 🤩
I can’t wait to experience a DLC coating!
Which model do you have with it?
OMG YOU WAITED ONE WEEK!!! HOW ARE YOU STILL ALIVE???
BARELY Survived!!! 😎 As mentioned after the Intro, I only lasted 6 days… If I’d have gone the full 7, who knows if I’d still be standing 💀🤷♂️
Thanks for your feedback, Christian 🙏
@GOAT Reviews I'm with you man, same thing with me and this new hobby of mine..
Very nice 👍
Thanks Gary! Glad you found it useful.
I just need black buttons to complete this mod enjoy GOAT.
Great idea, Demo! 👌 That would look really cool. Now that you mention it, I do have the set of replacement pushers from my first upgrade kit for this model... Maybe I'll try installing them some time 👀 Thanks man! 🙏
Yeah GOAT wish i had ordered these when purchasing mecha mod kit just didnt have tools to take of e clips so easily lost when they spring off into oblivion 😃 cant buy anywhere now 😭look forward to your video 👍
good job and good watch,,,i am crazy from CASIO watches ,,,kadatis from Algeria...
I appreciate the feedback, Kadatis! I’m becoming crazy for Casio too 😜
fuck this looks so cool
It sure does, AlphaDream! I'm super happy with how it turned out.
Oh my goodness that looks so swish!!!
Cheers Alvin! BTW I love the term ‘swish’…you’re makin’ me feel like a Baller 😎⛹️♂️🏀
very nice
Indeed, Mr. Hoot! 🦉 Thank you 🙏
🔥🔥🔥
😎👌🔥
Nice
😎👌
👌👏👏👏👏 beautifull
Thank you, Chavi! 🙏🤩
The only thing I don't like about the steel band is that stupid writing all over the clasp, it makes it look tacky and cheap AF. They should've put all that writing on the inside of the clasp where it was hidden from view bc it ruins the look imo.
Fair point, Panda. 🐼
Having had the same reservations initially, I will say that in person, it’s a lot more subtle - I really like it!
It should be interesting so se the coating after a week of wearing… you continuously speak about be careful to do not make scratches, BUT A G-SHOCK doesn’t take in account any kind of care! 😂
Very true, Daniele! The key thing is, so long as it’s not METAL scraping against it, we’re all good (so far).
They don't ship to Germany !!!!
WTF........?
Ah man! That’s a shame 😔
@@goatreviews
Yeah , but in the meantime since writing the comment , I've found a shop that does send to Germany. I can't wait for it to arrive, am totally exited.....
I've read in the comments that there is a Bluetooth sign on the case......
I didn't see it in your video. Where is it.
Best regards
Frank
@@frankschroth4038 Excellent! Glad you found one.
The small Bluetooth icon can be found at the bottom of the clasp - check the “Epic Results” chapter at the end of the video for a visual 😀
@@goatreviews oh on the bottom of the clasp is OK since you can't see it right away.
Last question ...
Since doing your mod and wearing it did the colour scratch of somewhere?
Thx
Frank
@@frankschroth4038 No worries Frank. No wear on the steel bezel so far! The only Colour that has scratched off was on the Titanium version - which I wore for 9 months, that the wear has been areas that contact other metal, such as the links near the clasp
It’s super
🦸🏻♂️👌
Хороший обзор,классика вечна
Я согласен! Это действительно вне времени, не так ли? Спасибо, Stas!
Nice video, but the original bracelet ain’t a hair puller sorry.😮
Thanks Michel! 🙏
I was very surprised that it happened too. Not what I’ve grown to expect from straps of this style at all!
To hard . I just use a regular steel kit
Thanks for weighing in, Richard! 🙏
To clarify - what is the step that appears the hardest, compared to the regular steel kit?
You made a £100 version look like a £500 version.
Cheers Spike. Yep! It’s one amazing upgrade, that’s for sure. Well worth the investment!
This is not steel. This is alloy, it is not magnetic. Like all such sets.
Interesting!… Thanks for pointing that out, Акула. I’ve been calling it ‘Steel’ as per the information on the listing!
That watch band is wicked tacky looks like an advertisement board
Thanks for Weighing-in, RC Gambler!
TBH that’s a thought the exact same at first too (along with some people I showed the pics to before the build)! That changed for all of us after seeing it in person. The details end up being a lot more subtle, so doesn’t come off as tacky in person (thankfully) 😁
torpe
¡pero funciona!
Somehow it has too much bling to it... looks like a fake G-Shock, which is half true now.
Fair point, 20Cent! I‘ve had a few people mention the same after seeing it on screen, however they changed their mind once seeing it in person - I find the details are a bit more subtle.
Hello kitten
👀
Why does RUclips recommend me the channel most hated by Shakira?.
Casio > Rolex! Who agrees?
Maybe it’s time to convert Shakira! ✊⌚️
I did the same with an identical titanium bracelet on a gw5000. Definitely an upgrade!
Please stop saying guys all the time, it’s quite insulting I find.
Thanks for the feedback Cedarcanoe! 🛶
Funnily enough, this topic just came up in an Audiobook I was listening to today! Different parts of the world use different words to address groups of people - the other example was “y’all”.
What other phrases might I consider, to avoid insulting people?
wtf are vining about? kwa kwaaaaa kwaa
