You mentioned Poseidon's run when he screamed in pain. One of the current running fan theories is that he sounds like that because his pain is music to Odysseus's ears.
Jorge sad in a TikTok that EPIC the musical is about Oddyseus embracing ruthlessness and we really see that in Different Beast. You said that Ody is finally learning the lesson Poseidon is trying to teach him but he littery says "Ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves, and deep down I know this well" in Monster. Also during Dangerous he said "I'm gonna use ruthlessness. I intend to put a a stop to all the foolishness" The point of no return was when they left the Underworld. I also want to point out he still wanted to reason with Poseidon and tried to make peace. Then he said "F it, vengance it is."
Calypso was cast away to the island by Zeus for siding with her father in the war with the titans. This was as much a punishment for her as it was Odysseus. She was given someone that would never be hers and Odysseus was not getting home after he had sacrificed everything to do so.
Nah, you can be exiled and alone forever without trying to convince another person to love you when they clearly do not want to and tell you that. Also, she's being punished for something she did wrong. As far as I'm concerned, a criminal is not a victim for going to jail. Odys punishment was meant to be being kept from his wife, not having a god try to force herself on him. He's more a victim than she is. That's my opinion anyway.
@karutasilver She didn't really do anything wrong to get put on the island. Cronus started the beef with the gods, Atlas fought to maintain his position, and Calypso simply supported her dad. The fact that she wasn't killed and imprisoned in Tartarus like the Titans that actually fought and just imprisoned on an island means she probably didn't do much besides support, and the gods were just being petty like they usually are. It was very intentional for Zeus to send Odysseus to Calypso's island as punishment. The only reason he can't leave is because Calypso is there in the first place. If she didn't become obsessed with him she would let him go, and it wouldn't be a punishment. Zeus knows all this when he sends Odysseus there. Calypso also knows the only reason Odysseus is here is because he pissed off some god, which is why she doesn't let him go. If she did, he would just get killed by Poseidon or Zeus. The whole situation is meant to be torture for both of them, and Calypso didn't really do much to deserve eternal torment. The gods victimize Calypso so they can use her to victimize others.
Every saga gets better and better. Other musical suggestions Hadestown (more greek mythology) and a bit of an odd one but amazing music and its not for kids SpongeBob the musical (has songs written by people like david bowie, they might be giants and more.) there is a full show of it which was released for Nickelodeon.
Ahhh I have been waiting for your reaction since this saga dropped! I have loved following your reactions to this so far! You make it feel like I’m watching for the first time again with how much you express your enjoyment and the thoughts you provide on the events of the story and the music. I know exactly what I’m doing for the next 40 mins 😇 Thank you for your content
@@HIM_066xMusicReactions ahh thank you, I am happy I could bring some happiness! I also noticed that you have, amongst others I intend to view, ren content for me to enjoy! And you have already discovered the beauty of Ren and Chinchilla singing together! Another song of theirs that I would recommend seeing, if you have not already, is How to be me. It is from what I have read largely about a close friend of ren ending his own life.

OMFG 🤯🤯🤯 I didn't think of it like that

I can’t believe there’s only one live stream left 😢
Only the Ithaca saga left. :3 (fans are theorizing it'll be out at some point in December.)
It would be full circle. Start it December 25, end it December 25.
I told you that livestream wouldn’t disappoint!
Something I've realized is that Odysseus literally drew his final breath and became the monster. As the prophet said he would.

It's amazing how in one song you change how you feel about Calypso.
