DarqMassacre I've been saying that for a few years now. Tim Burton must direct if it is to happen. after all, Keaton was offered a third Batman movie, but declined because Burton left the director's chair. Val Kilmer and Joel Schumacher replaced them. Burton only remained a producer
Sliusarenko I wish we could get a dark night returns style movie with Keaton returning so Burton could make his films a proper trilogy. It'll never happen though but Keatons about the right age to do a story like that

In my opinion, Michael Keaton played the very best Batman. I see him, I see Batman. No shade on any of the other actors who played the dark Knight but Michael was the right man for the job. At 4 years old, I remember my dad taking me to see Batman in theaters in '89 and it was awesome. Maybe I'm still running off of that highlight in my life and just that special moment with my father and I, sealed the deal for that particular movie. And part 2 was good also,😁

Me too accept my rate is backwards my number 1 favorite Batman movie is michael keaton 2 batman returns. And my 2nd is Batman the movie 89 2nd. I was 6yrsold when batman returns came out one of my best childhood movie's. It was darker tone and as kid The penguin was scary to me as a child.😅 and catwomen was and extra bonus. Michelle Pfeiffer deserved and Oscar for that role. But yeah I've always favored the TIM BURTON BATMAN FILMS OVER NOLAN'S.
In my opinion - Christian Bale was a better Bruce Wayne where’s Michael Keaton was a better Batman.

I agree and I've always defended my idea that without Batman '89 we likely would not be where we are with comic book movies today. But that's not to take away anything from Nolan's vision either, he reinvented the genre in itself and repaved what comic book movies went on to be from there.

He's in talks. It is not confirmed, it is in the early stages. But I hope he comes back.

Other actors have tried to play Batman different than Michael Keaton but didn't do the character justice. They knew if they tried to copy Keaton's character one of two things would happen. 1 Fans would criticize the actor for trying to copy Keaton's Batman or (B) Fans would criticize the actor for thinking they could play Batman better than Batman. Seriously, I think Bruce Wayne is disguising himself as Michael Keaton.
@@chiefsteps-in-poo6538 There were other actors that tried hard to be Batman, but Michael Keaton portrayed it in a way NO body could do the same. His Blue Eyes stare under the Mask was the most iconic Batman move that Nobody ever came close to doing the same. Plus his deepened voice when he is Batman is just Spot on, not like how some have said the later Batman's voice was digitally altered or a try hard to have a deep voice.
Even Keaton's version of the Batmobile looked more like a Batmobile than any of the later versions that looked more like war machines, it had nothing that represents the BAT. If you saw a picture of it before any leaked information about the movie, You couldn't even tell that it was the Batmobile.
Keaton's Batmobile is still Fans overall No.1 favourite compared to all of them.
Batman is still just a Human Being. He can be a Super Hero, but don't make him seem like on the same level as Superheroes that have Super Powers. Batman Vs Superman may have been visually entertaining but "Come On" Batman can never beat Superman unless he had some Gadgets to take away his Super Powers.
Tim Burton has done a Fantastic job at sticking to the Original source and the Dark theme in the movie was absolutely appropriate for the characters. It's just too Bad that many parents especially Mum's didn't like it and the Studio had to change it to a lighter tone, which resulted in Tim & Michael leaving and the Disaster of Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.
If they could have stayed, we would've had a Good Trilogy and better Spin Offs with Catwoman and Batgirl.
Michael Keaton is still the Best and most memorable Batman, Michelle Pfeiffer is still the Best Catwoman.

What makes Batman '89 so monumental is that it was the first. Creating something out of whole cloth is so much harder than following it up. Every cinematic Batman since has emulated it in some form or fashion, whether it be tone, music, how Bruce uses a different voice for Batman, design of the Batsuit, etc.
Batman/Wayne had to be a little bit crazy. Keaton was able to pull-off that little bit of crazy.
Even though I never grew up with the 80s batman he will always be my favorite batman
After Keaton and Burton left the series, I couldn't get thru another Batman until Christian Bale and Nolan. The Dark Knight series is by far my favourite of the Batman movies. Actually haven't watched another one since Rises.
They were forgettable. Cringey Bale was horrible.

I'd love to see him come back as Batman, sort of like a Dark Knight Returns storyline. Get Tim to direct it. I know it will never happen given the DCEU and everything, but a movie with him as Batman again would be huge.

Easily. Bale was trying way too hard and his Bruce Wayne was just annoying and dull. The first two films were far better crafted stories, the art direction was amazing and the acting more interesting. Heath Ledger can only hold my interest so much with his quirky take on the Joker, unfortunately the rest of that movie bored the fck out of me.
Langford_artist No actor owns a character so do NOT say that Keaton IS batman. Batman I believe is his own person. Men like Affleck, Bale, and Keaton are just actors who r giving love to this character. So if u say that then ur not a true Batman fan. Because I see the character not the actor.

Still my favorite Batman. Since I saw the 1989 film in 2012 I’ve loved the entire film, Batman, Bruce, Joker, the acting, story, action, comedy, gothic tone it deserves, especially the music. The original Batman has the greatest Soundtrack to a film to me only rivaled by Avengers, Back to the Future, and Halloween

Actually there are real people with Batman as a last name, Ray Batman and his son were both farmers. There was even a legal case called Batman versus The Commissioner and people mistakenly thought they were referring to the comic Batman and Commissioner Gordon.
I can't believe this interviewer at the end accused Michael Keaton of all people to be in movies for the pay cheque???? Like WTF???? Everybody knows Michael Keaton walked away from Batman Forever even though the studio tried to keep him by offering him more $$$$ and he STILL walked away because of the crappy script and how they fired Tim Burton. Michael Keaton is Awesome!!! Those 3 movies Beetlejuice and the 2 Batman movies made me love Michael Keaton but its was his decision to walk away that made me respect him and that's why he's my hero. Although being Batman helps ;) Batman 1989 was the first movie I ever remember seeing as a kid.
Yes, you're right. He walked away from the third movie being offered A FORTUNE, which isn't that common in Hollywood. Instead, he starred in Multiplicity (I think that's the name). He though it was a more interesting work for an actor.

Keaton is a boss, I beleive that offered him 20million up front, which was one of the highest, if not the highest at the time and he still turned it down.

I will confess Michael Keaton surprised the hell out of me with his Batman movie. I mean this guy really pulled it off well and Jack Nicolson's Joker iconic! I initially thought there was no way Beetle Juice was going to do this movie justice, but he did good. Bravo Sir!

People are going to think I'm crazy for this, but I'd like to see Keaton reprise the role in a sort of 'Dark Knight Returns' kind of storyline. For those who don't know, it was a Frank Miller graphic novel that depicted an aging Batman coming back after retirement. The animated adaptation was amazing, and after watchng it, I thought to myself, 'You know, I don't think Keaton is too old to do something like this.'

Maybe he doesn't want calling batman anymore, but i believe many people who watched his Batman movies have huge respect for Michael. Because we were so young and he just our real hero. That is very important for lil kids. So, Michael is my only Batman forever.
