After my knees and ankles felt weak in the last two miles of my last half marathon, I decided I need to invest more in lower body strength work. Thanks Ash!

Thanks too Alison! Glad I could help you with this one 😊
I loved doing this, thank you so much! I like how my core is activated throughout the session, and that I'm working on my balance. Working the arches is great, many videos I've seen don't mention them. Now for your core strength set 😀
Great job Rebecca, well done for feeling that activation and working on it 👍🏻😊
thanks Ash - great session again!
Thank you too Georgina, I appreciate that 👍🏻😊
Thanks Ash! I've been loving your videos! As a beginner runner you have been a huge help :)

Thank you too Robben, I appreciate you 👍🏻😊
Such a good workout feels great and I feel the imbalances in my body while doing it. Now I know what to focus on
That’s great to hear this helped you learn about your body Patrick, I’m glad you enjoy my sessions 😊 thanks for commenting 🙏
Thanks for the video Ash! Love your channel, you legend!
Thank you so much. So glad you love my channel 😊
Thank you, Ash. Did this in lieu of a run this morning. Feel I should do much more of this (as well as more running). Think I'd have run better if I'd discovered all this 30 years ago.
No problem Dave. Great to see you in the comments as always 😊 this strength work is essential your right, I strength train twice a week. It’s not only good for our running but our day-to-day movement and strength 👍🏻
Love the balance elements! This adds variety to more "traditional" weight workouts and is SO important as we get older and balance is compromised.
Absolutely Becky!! Balance is so important and we can expect it to get worse as we age unfortunately so it is essential we keep active with it and not let it get worse 👍🏻😊
Loved this video Ash, thank you. Will definitely use again. And I love you talking and explaining what's going on in the body, it really helps me. Thanks again ❤
That’s great to hear my talking helps guide you Kristin, thank you so much as always 🙏😊❤️
Loved the video! 😍 Will return to this one.
Glad you loved this session with me Rose! I appreciate your comment, thank you 🙏😊
Thank you so much for this! Your videos are extremely useful and have helped me a lot as I prepare for a half marathon.🏃♀
You're so welcome Adrianna. I’m so glad my videos have helped you prep for your half marathon 🙌🏻
Thanks Ash!
Well done Mary Kate. Most runners skip this type of strength work 🙌🏻😊
Hey Ash! I've been watching your videos before and after every run. I'm a new runner but played volleyball for 8 years which destroyed my right knee. I'm already seeing a difference in my pain from your videos. Thank you! 🙏
So glad this helped you and my videos are part of your routine. I appreciate your comment. Thank you too 🙏😊
Nice one 🎉 thanks
You're so welcome as always Alice, thank you too 🙏😊
5k yesterday, this exercise felt great to loosen up my sore legs. Thanks Ash!

Thanks Ash for encouraging me to do some strength work (often neglected!).
You're so welcome Simon. Thanks a lot for that, I really appreciate it 🙏 so many runners neglect strength 😊
Such a great video, thanks Ash. I’ve done this session before but noticed today that I’m already stronger, thanks to doing your videos as often as possible now.
That’s so good to hear you’re noticing the strength improvement Lesley. Well done for being by consistent with this type of session 🙌🏻😊
Great stretching , nearly slipped a few times I blame that on my balance.. thanks for the great video ash many thanks.
Balance is where the gains are for sure! Running is a single leg exercise so if you can strengthen balance you’ll definitely make improvements in your running 😊
Great strength session - thanks Ash! I definitely need to do more of this!
Thank you Ash! Your vids are so calming to me, but help me so so much, especially for avoiding runners knee. I appreciate you!
Thanks so much for hat Lily. I’m so happy my videos can help you 🙏😊
Thanks Ash! This was great for a day where I was struggling to find the motivation to move my body
Thank you too, I appreciate your comment to let me know I could help 👍🏻😊
Thanks, Ash - I think that was my favourite video to date and one I will definitely return to regularly. Much appreciated!

Breathing and smiling 😊
Thank you for breathing and smiling with me 😊
Hi Ash, I liked the video, but I'm getting a bit of knee pain when I try the lunges and reaching North and South. Thanks again for the video!
Glad you enjoyed this session with me! You could have the start of a knee issue. You could get it checked out by your local physiotherapist. I appreciate your comment, thank you 🙏😊
Great little session I’m going to feel this later 😊. Do you have any other workouts that will build muscle and tame down fat in legs glutes ?
Thanks Heather. Try this one with dumbbells…😊

@@RunBetterwithAsh I like this one it’s been a bit since I did it may have to,try it again. Thank you
Ash, I have a question about your strenght workouts, which are really helpful and easy to follow! I like the way you explain everything in detail!
I would like to know your thoughts about using weight for strenght training. Do you think it is necessary for runners to use weights as well or does everything work with bodyweight?
I do use both. I always start all of my newbie clients on bodyweight for a good 3 months to be able to properly master the exercises before adding weight. If you don’t master the exercises and activate correct muscles then you could end up creating compensations that lead to injury.
@@RunBetterwithAsh Thanks a lot for your feedback Ash!
I liked those single leg squats; let hips do more work, I say.
Absolutely Catherine 🙌🏻 well done for doing this 👍🏻
🧭💪💜
Thank you as always, glad you enjoyed this strength session 😊🙌🏻❤️
