    very inspirational. really cool. be advised---- abalone dust is very toxic on your lungs. carve it while very wet & wear a respirator.

    Excellent Tiki Jord, took some of your advice upgraded dremel and got a Foredom, and some kutzall burrs,, holy hell what a difference. Really helps, just need to save up for the bigger hand piece to accept 1/4 inch. Carve on bro

    The wood may be clear old growth fir, which may be getting hard to find. Love the tiki.

    Hi Jordy...
    Tikis aren't my thing..but..my neighbor's daughter put a raised porch on her place this past fall..right before cold weather came and hasn't been able to use it...maybe I'll give it a try and give it to her for a birthday present in April...

    When I was a kid in the mid 60's, my dad used to dive for abalone. Makes great steaks after you beat the hell out of it with a meat hammer.

      Damn Jord, when you were carving that tooth and broke a burr, it reminded me once I was getting a root canal, and the freaking dentist broke the drill off inside my tooth. I never went back to him, and future dentist, had to pull the tooth. Lol.

    I just purchased corded Dremel 4300. And I also bought , supposedly a "Speed control" foot pedel. Which doesn't really work as a speed control. All it does is work as a ON/OFF switch. I read in some comments that you can only run 4300 at the highest speed with FOREDOM foot control, orherwise it will damage the 4300. Is that true? Reaching out to turn ON or OFF 4300 is not convenient, and I like to use both hands at the project. Any thoughts/recommendations? Thanx !
