This was really Wisconsin’s chance at the playoff, if we had a QB that year man that was a good team. Wisconsin can play with Ohio state every year at the line of scrimmage, but the buckeyes QBs and WRs have been head and shoulders above us in all these close losses the past few years.
Soooo much easier to get into Ohio SU than UW. 100+ years as well of open admissions.
@@mkmcclureyou guys, just like Michigan and Notre Dame, need to stop. The admissions standards for football players are the same at OSU, UW, UM and Notre Dame. SAT scores for general admission are different though. UW is 1430 vs 1400 for OSU. Not a huge difference.

This game's score should have been 45-3 for the Buckeyes, but J.T. Barrett did his usual self-damage with two stupid interceptions and Urban Meyer went very conservative NO PASSING during the 2nd half.

Had Wisconsin not had an incompetent thrower like Hornibrook at QB, they would've beaten Ohio State. Wisconsin's defense forced three OSU turnovers. I'm very interested to see how this year's regular season game plays out with Coan at QB.
Same could be said for ohio state, JT was playing poorly due to injury. This game wasn't as close as to score indicated... the game this year should be a fun one to watch though.

Good gawd, this proves that he is not! Barrett should not have been the qb for most of the year. He totally sux at throwing the ball. Most of his running td's were from three yards out after the rb's took it down the field.
I could see how you feel that way. Urban seems to like the running quarterback compared to the better passer. It goes back to Florida. Seems to work for him (usually).

This game would have been 50-13 if Haskins was throwing. Barrett is so mediocre, as a buckeye fan I’m sincerely concerned about going to the playoff and getting torched again. With JT at the helm.
+Treay Caldwell they definitely have a had a couple bad drops. The past three years we've had the same problems on offense and the same inconsistencys. We've changed coaches, receivers, and Oline since then the one common denominator is JT. He sits in the pocket way too long and 90 percent of his passes are a second too late a second behind or way overthrown. He's definitely improved since last year and he's definitely a fighter. But his arm and decision making Leave a lot to be desired. Osu has underachieved the past three years. Did you seee how much better the offense clicked against Michigan after he got hurt? Night and day.hes a good football player and has a lot of great qualities but OSU football has been painful to watch the past 3 years to say the least

2014 Oregon, 2015 Michigan, 2015 ND, 2016 Oklahoma, 2016 Wisconsin, 2018 Michigan, 2017 MSU all were more impressive wins in my opinion. Now out of the best teams he beat. It’d be Bama, then Oregon, then 2016 Oklahoma, then 2017 Penn St, then 2016 Michigan, then 2017 Wisconsin.

This was an awesome season for the Big10 but the strength of the league has clearly taken it's toll on the teams. Every team in every conference gets beat up throughout the year, obviously, but the Big10 is probably the strongest league this year. First week of the season the Big10 had two teams that could stand toe to toe with anyone in the country (maybe 3) but now, they're making huge mistakes and taking longer to get up from tackles. Even with the championship I doubt Ohio St will get into the playoffs.
Ohio St. should get that last playoff spot, better resume. Alabama bye.

They were the only P5 team to make it to 12-0 that year. Chemson, Bama, UGA, OU were all 11-1 prior to CCG weekend. I still think Wisconsin (12-1 with a loss to Ohio State) deserved it over Clemson (12-1 with a non bowl Syracuse). Keep in mind Wisconsin did have some notable wins including Iowa and Michigan.
I think an Ohio state loss would hurt less then Sunday's rankings. They're gonna put Alabama in.
JT messed up quite a bit in this game but he's playing with a surgically repaired knee and a bad shoulder. In a month during bowl season he'll perfectly healthy again, less mistakes and less poor throws.

Gary Hicks I’m not saying jt Barrett is the worst Ohio state quarterback and he has made a lot of clutch plays but his interceptions has cost him games,for example, Iowa. Iowa was unranked and jt Barrett threw 4 interceptions. That is something nfl scouts don’t want to see especially against a unranked team.Also the other issue was play calling. Ohio state play calling cost Ohio state a lot of games so I’m not blaming it all on jt Barrett. It both the play calling and jt Barrett’s interceptions

He has had some awful moments this year, but I think he's been playing hurt (not just this game, because they made that pretty obvious in the commentary) and that has a lot to do with it. He's just had the snot beat out of him for 3 years (or is it 4?) and he's not a big enough dude to take all of those hits. If he played in the Mac or Sunbelt, he'd be much healthier at this point because they play smaller (faster they claim, but I don't see it) defenses.
Exactly! A blowout loss to a RANKED opponent is what kept Penn State out last year so if Ohio State gets in after being blown out by an UNRANKED opponent it shows the committee has favorite schools. They probably rooted hard for Wisconsin to lose
