@@p00l95 Cashman does things every off season. Maybe its just the coach, but last year he traded for Juan "overpaid DH" Soto. He also signed Judge. Prior to that he signed Cole, who he secured again this year.
i love the Williams acquisition a guy that's been proven and knows how to handle high leverage situations. getting ground balls and strikeouts is key at the closer positions but we still have more work to do. whatever we do going forward i'm confident we'll have a great team in 25 to compete for a championship.
I have never been sold on a closer who relies on a Change-up to get batters out, because good hitters know that and wait for that pitch, and often crush it in big games, seen that happen many times with Trevor Hoffman and Williams. I would never trade a decent starting pitcher under team control for a one year rental, same mistake he made when he traded Montgomery. Trading away a teams future for one year is sheer stupidity, unless that piece acquired is certain to win you a championship, which Williams will not, the Yankees have way too many holes. No 1st baseman, 3rd baseman, left fielder, center fielder, need a catcher.
@@AlltelJohnny12 Montgomery statistically was the 2nd best pitcher onto Yankees after Cole, and he was a young lefty under team control. It proved to be a very poor trade for the Yankees and resulted in them getting Rodon, who has been a major disappointment and wasted expenditure.
When the change-up drops off a table that's different than the speed just being different and the hitter just having to adjust for speed. Nestor is a free agent after next year, just like Williams so not sure what you're talking about. The Yankees win ten more games last year with an actual closer instead of running Holmes out there again and again. The Yankees are clearly not done adding position players.
So the game the Yankees are playing now is run prevention wtf.. they need offense players! Desperately need to replace sotos bat! I wouldn't buy a single ticket until they find a bat that can compare to soto.
another boneheaded trade, williams on a 1 yr rental for a very good prospect with controllable yrs at a fraction of the cost…ny should of gone after burnes cuz ny needs another SP…still need 3B and 1B
Bruh ~ Williams is elite & may sign on by the fall ~ Durbin is Peraza. Jazz at 2B & Carbrera at 3B (the same that led NY to a WS in 24). Max Fried & Williams are a drastic improvements over last year (Nestor & Holmes)
@ we made the World Series !!! The Yankees are a win now team,, Judge and Cole see r getting any younger. The window on their prime years is closing. You have to risks.
@stuffandthangs3953 Anthony Satander is the worst outfielder I don’t care how many Homeruns he hits not worth the money Alex Bregman isn’t worth the money and Pete Alonso just doesn’t fit in
@@BrandonMoore-n2c Disagree. Cristian Walker would be the only one I would want signed. They have to make moves its that simple. Our lineup needs major work. Getting by isn't the answer.
If we can't get a deal done for 3rd base,, let's give a shot to peraza,, move chisom to 2nd base,, and keep Cabrera in the mix,,let the kids play,, for real 💯
The Astros don't need any names, but we got plenty. We won the division last year with a duct tape rotation of youngsters, a team slumping offense (most players had worst of careers,) and we will embarass you when you come to town, and we ALL Wear Juan Soto Mets Jerseys! The Astros will create more PTSD for you.
cash does a great job i just dony understanf why the yankees looooove to move players too a position that isnt their 1st or natural position.. jazz is a 2nd baseman why are they hellbent on keeping him at 3rd? why are their talks of getting bellinger to waste him at 1st? what the fuck????
Off season Brian Cashman is awesome ~ one of, if not the best ~ much better than regular season front office Brian Cashman
he hasn't won a ring in 15 years. he should be doing things every offseason .

@@SwiftRead You need more than 3 guys to win a ring. Look at the Dodgers. Complete lineup and stacked pitching.
Really YES Network, 360p video? lol
WHERES THE OFFENSE????????
We just got Cody bellinger
Now we just need Scott left handed shut down arm.
He’s gonna want too much
@ he’s best left handed pitcher on market why would that matter who do we have better

At this rate, he's going to have to make some of the 20 pitchers, infielders and outfielders.
Cashman and the Yanks are doing a great job making our pitching elite . Of course they’re going after offensive talent aswell be patient

Montgomery was an underachiever as a Yankee. I also think Nestor’s best days are behind him. I’m willing to see how this plays out
