These plates are also sold alone - so the obvious question is what is the rating if not used ICW anything? Why is that not published on Safelife website?

At some point yiu should have actually put the plate in one of the carriers so we could see how it fit and how to properly install it.
DECHIEF, JUST DELIVERED MY NEW SLD VEST. SIR I LOVE THIS FREAKIN VEST. EVEN IN THIS SOCAL HEAT 119*. FULL OF JOY.
The advertising for IIIA+ Side Armor Panels 6" x 8" is very misleading. I purchased 2 sets and all 4 panels measured 4"5/8 x 7"1/4. The weight on Safe Life Defense website says 0.5 pounds for a set. The actual weight is 13.1 ounces for cut down versions of what they advertise as there 15% more coverage.

I bought both concealable 3a+ vest(medium) and the icw plates (10x12). When vest alone is properly adjusted for optimal protection, the inserted rifle plates rides and sits too low for best protection. It will fit a few inches below vest line...about 1 inch below the vest Velcro insertion line.

This plate IS NOT a true 10x12 plate
Its construction is a 8×9.5" tile array.
There is a 1" foam ring around the entire plate. MANY MANY RUclips videos on this.
Since its an ICW plate it DOES NOT have a rating alone. DONT BET YOUR LIFE ON IT.
With prices and availability the way it is currently you are FAR better off getting a Pair of Hesco L210s. They are manufactured in the USA you get a SET for 375 dollars and they are a FULL strikeface and the weight is LESS.
Please DONT be one of those people who ONLY wears 2 plates and thinks that's good. Please dont do this.
Get the Safelife 3a+ vest (decent quality for price) and pick a carrier. Spend the 400 there and 375 on QUALITY plates and for LESS then their current "bundle" deal you have something that you can bet your life on

I’m an armed guard at a casino. I have the tactical vest/plate carrier level iiia+ along with the level iv plates. Do I need to wear the plates every day even though I already have the level iiia+ flexible armor?

I was curious about using level 4 icw plate with the fras soft body armor. What rating that would be & if i would need a trama pad at that point or even if one would fit
The level 4 ICW fras should, by transitive property, make it a level 5 armor system
I should have used the 7 quarters conversion in physics class. 18mm=7 american quarters roughly.... OR .7 inches. hmmm, .7 inches or 7 quarters. I wonder which is easier to visualize.
How does anyone feel about placing these plates into a foreign plate carrier? Maybe find some kevlar inserts. These are affordable plates.
Do a shooting test to see how it holds up against 30 caliber rifles with speeds up to 3,000fps
It will it's videos out there of them shooting this thing with high-powered rifles and they're not penetrating
Could i use this as a stand alone in my plate carrier?

@@ronaldc8973 when I was in the marines, our plate carriers came with kevlar plate inserts. I'm currently trying to find some like them. Basically enclosed the plates in a layer of soft armor so plate shards don't penitrate when taking impact
Can you use a plate in the front and back with the safelife 3a+ vest? Or only in front?

Must be a sign that I found your video just a couple days after it was posted. Loosely follow you on the gram and it never occurred to me you might be on youtube. I'm actually looking at these for patrol. I went out of my way and bought my own safelife vest after my issued "custom fit" vest become too uncomfortable to wear. My only concern is that we're concealed armor only for patrol. How do these plates look under a uniform shirt?
I have never worn them under a shirt. I assume due to their thickness they won’t be concealed and show through your gear. If you have them on a high incident looks won’t matter. 💪🏽
Do you know what level protection it provides if it's not in the safe life carrier like if I put it in one of my other carriers is it still Level 3?

Got a level 4 RTS Tactical and the reviews online are great for those and no ICW. I also do have to of the Safelife 3a+ concealment vest but no plates for those yet. Was thinking of getting these but will watch more videos first. Haven't tried the rts plates in the Safelife vest yet to see if it fits.

No point in this if more is required for full protection.
It's not it will work alone by itself the additional thing is just from the fragments not from the bullet he just said the bullets not going to pass through you don't have to wear another vest or plate with it if you don't want to
