"WHAT ARE YOU?!?!" had me losing my mind the first time I saw this, I had to pause it so I didn't miss anything laughing. Stephen Root is such an incredible comedic actor. He and Bill just have pristine timing.
The Sopranos had "Pine Barrens", Breaking Bad had "Ozymandias", and Barry has "Ronny/Lilly". Easily up there with one of the best episodes of TV I've ever seen.
"Modern Warfare". I still haven't gotten around to _Sopranos_ yet, I know it's shameful. But the thing about "Ozymandias" is, it is "just" a perfect _Breaking Bad_ episode. But if you ask "what's the most surprisingly DIFFERENT _Breaking Bad_ episode?" the answer is of course "Fly". "Ronny/Lily" is DIFFERENT. _And_ it's fantastic. So I compare it to "Modern Warfare" on _Community._ That one finally took off all the rails and did just an amazing, DIFFERENT (for season 1) episode that stands out not just for quality but for unforgettable, transform-what-the-show-can-be style. We never saw this version of _Barry_ before, and it's amazing.
My GoT watch group sat and watched this whole episode without ever seeing a single episode of Barry before. At the end we were like “wow that was a wild 5 minutes of tv” not realizing how much time had passed. I stand by the comments above, this really is one of the best single episodes of tv ever.
Quite honestly one of the greatest tv episodes of tv there is, compared to an embarrassment that should never have been filmed. Arya killing the nights king will always be braindead
When the girl bit Fuches face and he was just in stunned silence, that shit had me in tears the first time i saw it...haven't laughed that hard at a show in a long time.
The way she screams at them like a werewolf with a bloody face like Barry down on all fours before leaping into the night is an incredible exit. Then the way Barry just says under his breath (to the unkillable father) "I got a guy out there... he's literally glued to the car..." as if that explains everything. Adore this.
"because I superglued my hands to the steering wheel." 😂 😂 I was rolling. But yeah, you took the words right out of bill harder mouth when you said fuches looks like the devil in that scene. That's how bill harder wanted him to look.
Yay!! I re-watched Barry with my niece a few months ago and when we started this episode I was grinning like a fiend. Every time something crazy happened I got to say, "There's more." It just escalates and escalates and it's darkly hilarious. One of the best episodes of T.V. ever.
And Lily is the daughter of stunt people. Any minute now we'll be getting Tarantino's "Kill Kiddo,' starring her. Or at least stunting for the main actress.
This episode is a perfect encapsulation of this show's objectives, surrealism, absurd humour and true darkness/tragedy. Fuches simultaneously being the creep devil figure leading barry into hell, but also being a fucking hilarious comedic character is the perfect dichotomy. Wow I love this show
One of the best episodes of the show. The actress who plays the daughter is amazing. It blew my mind how she shifts from harmless little girl to the stuff of nightmares and in reverse.
This is the episode where Barry went from BizzaroWorld Breaking Bad to BizzaroWorld Big Lebowski (a lot of B's right there) I can totally picture Walter Sobchak with his hands glued to a steering wheel and The Dude explaining "She's... she's not of this world, man"
Easily one of the best episodes ever. The absurdity of the action combined with the characters elevates it to a whole other level. Also, Fuches' "what are you" and Barry's "I don't think she's of this world" are just the absolutely hilarious. And I chose to believe that Ronny didn't die. This family is clearly immortal
Yeah he wanted it to look less like an execution so he threw in some "stray" shots. Not entirely clear what his plan was given nobody but him had a gun, but hey, he's a dirty cop, maybe he had one sitting around. Just sprinkle a little crack on him and he's good to go.
Ive watched a few reactions to this ep and not one has pointed out that the LeAnn Rimes hit "How Do I Live" is playing in the grocery store at the end. at 9:19 he literally looks over to Ronnie as the the line "How do I breathe without you" is sung lmao. I was fucking dying.
This episode blew my mind. I love how Barry walked out of the house bloody, and the two ladies walking down the street don't notice. Also, when fuches goes to the drugstore to get needles etc he's in no rush whatsoever (I'm going to get redbull and cornnuts). Yet when he hands are superglued to the wheel, it's a life and death emergency. I loved your reaction. Have a great night.
I've watched this reaction about 5 times it's so damn funny. Honestly having just watched the recent episode of season 4, it's hard to believe these eps are from the same show!!
@@jessharvell1022 For sure, Hader’s love of cinema is palpable throughout the show. When the introduction to the whole theatre scene angle was a stage performance of Julianne Moore’s pharmacy scene in Magnolia, I knew I would love this show.
For the Algorithm! I definitely missed the usual four episode upload here. I understand though as their are only 11 episodes of the serious left until you are caught up so you want to spread it out. This episode is absolutely wild, I forgot how batshit insane this was lmao.
You’d really like Mr Inbetween which is an Austrian black comedy crime show on par with Barry. Similar concept following a hitman / criminal and his day to day life.
I really hope that after the timeskip Lilly comes back, she'd be in her 20s now, I'd lose my mind if that's how the show ends with her getting revenge on Barry
Mr Robot went way too far up its own ass, really by the second season. Don't get me wrong there is some great stuff there two, I'm just not sure whether the eyerolling it took me to get there was worth it. You can start with the asinine "philosophy" of the villains.
"IT'S HER!!!!!!"
"WHAT ARE YOU?!?!" had me losing my mind the first time I saw this, I had to pause it so I didn't miss anything laughing. Stephen Root is such an incredible comedic actor. He and Bill just have pristine timing.
I just did exact same thing few minutes ago. that clip led me here.
The "I don't think she's of this world" line makes me die every time I see it

Fun fact: This aired the same night as the Game of Thrones episode "The Long Night." A more drastic difference in quality would be tough to imagine.

In an episode like this I'm glad for Fuches, because he's so hilarious here. Fuches and 'demon child' are definitely my favorite parts.
Fair enough lol
"Okay she's not human" did it for me lol
Devil and demon
@@szeddezs "That's what I told you dude." Just so casual, too-exhausted-to-explain-but-glad-he-finally-gets-it, the back and forth I just lose it 🤣🤣

Ronny is actually a stuntman, he was one that actually went toe to toe with John wick and threw him off a balcony in the first movie.
He's also Bob Odenkirk's personal trainer and stunt choreographer for Nobody
And Lily is the daughter of stunt people. Any minute now we'll be getting Tarantino's "Kill Kiddo,' starring her. Or at least stunting for the main actress.
He's in a lot of movies
You’re right..just spotted him in extraction 2.
He's the Agent that fights Morpheus on top of the truck in the second Matrix
one of the best episodes of tv ever. up there with pine barrens, seinfeld's the contest, the best of classic simpsons, you name it.

This episode is one of the top of this series. What life is like when you’re in a fever dream.
Im happy that you enjoyed it.
After watching this I think Bill Hader should direct more.
he’s directing every ep of s4 thankfully but we need a feature film
@@joshuadoty4682 yes I know, I meant besides Barry 🤗
@@Ninaofthe90s absolutely
there are better directed action sequences on this show than in the majority of mainstream american action movies these days
@@jessharvell1022 Truly.
I recently started to make a list of my top 100 favorite episodes off all time. This one is gonna be really high 😁
Best episode of Barry by far😂
This was a very Tarantinoesque episode.
He missed so he could probably claim he fired a warning shot.
the 2nd best action sequence in the show, beaten only by a sequence in season 3.
i’ve been having an affair
I love the concise nature of the story telling. Yet, so much depth.
I think he meant to miss barry when he shot.
Yeah he wanted it to look less like an execution so he threw in some "stray" shots. Not entirely clear what his plan was given nobody but him had a gun, but hey, he's a dirty cop, maybe he had one sitting around. Just sprinkle a little crack on him and he's good to go.
she is not of this world, man
ok she’s not human
I’ve been waiting for you to get here since you started this series. SO GOOD.
One of the best episodes of any show EVER. LOL!
The police guy was missing on purpose so he can say he had a gunfight or something like that in the report after.

I was crying laughing the whole time, really felt like a fever dream of an epiosde and I loved every second of it!

Amazing in every way. Did anyone else get Raising Arizona vibes from this episode?
definitely. whole show feels very coens to me at times, which makes sense given what a film head hader is.

Good call w/ the similarities - hadn’t put it together but I LOVED mr inbetween maybe even a hair more than Barry. Maybe.
Yessss it’s defiantly up there with Barry maybe better
Lol so glad this episode is coming
Still the GOAT episode of BARRY
Ronny is Jean Claude Gosh Darn from the Mystery Science Theater 3000 classic FUTURE WAR
Really like how Bill Hader lets other characters shine in this show.
10:43 dude my reaction exactly 😅🤣
Love this episode
Jimmy Macram: Oh, is this the guy? No. No. Not that fast.
Corey Holcomb: Heheheh. You'll see.
I really hope that after the timeskip Lilly comes back, she'd be in her 20s now, I'd lose my mind if that's how the show ends with her getting revenge on Barry

What's funny is, people like that kid and the father exist.
why was this so casual at 6:23
aint no way he said it's filling up the hole 😂😂💀
also the "oh my gosh, who u wrote that.... oh its the same guys" 😂ye of little faith, mmh mh mh
Daniel Bernhard was awesome in this episode.
That was amazing
👌👍🔥😂
I find it so weird how loads of ppl complained about this episode, its by far one of the best of the entire show
