In this Elden Ring Build Guide, I’ll be showing you my light greatsword build. This is a Shadow of the Erdtree build that takes place after level 150. This is pretty weak but i am in new game plus 5 or 6 right now, and ive tried Renalla's Cameo, Magic Scorpion Charm, Godfrey Icon, Shard of Alexander, all those works really good together and give nice dmg too

I might've missed it if you mentioned it, but it's worth noting that equipping these swords in your left hand uses the fire sword primarily, using it in your right uses the magic sword (obviously if it's in your offhand, it's still an offhand) so I've been using Milady in my primary slot and swapping that between frost or holy, and you have the option of using fire/magic, fire/holy, etc. You can just mix n match between the 3 swords based on where they're equipped. Might be too obvious but just something I'm having heaps of fun playing with

I did this when i wanted to power stance light greatswords and realized i won't get another milady until NG+. I love the combo and the versatility of changing between the 3 swords. Got Milady cold infused and the fire sword on the off hand to reset frostbite to proc again, its been lots of fun!

In case anyone hasnt seen yet, there are videos since this that have disproved the stat build on this one. The blades work best with stacking faith and int. and utilizing the stances. One video showed that you're losing as much as 33 - 40 % damage output with a dex and strength stack.
So with stacking int/fth instead of str/dex, you lose out on the physical melee attack power, but you gain 33-40% more AR for the weapon art, is that what you're saying?

@@synergistex7088 Bet thanks for lmk, I just got the weapon yesterday and was trying to figure out how to allocate my stats. I think I’ll go fth/int focus with enougn Str/Dex to switch to something like the Royal Greatsword if I need more stagger ability.
Well yeah all the OP weapons are OP because of their weapon arts, but I just think its kinda lame to go every fight spamming it. Its just Moonveil all over again.
in my opinion too the fire is superior, I would build for mostly faith
I got this sword last night and immediately went and buffed it and it’s so good! Such a fun weapon and it can be great for mobs with the fire move

Currently this is my favorite weapon in the DLC, alongside the Milady.
I absolutely adore this new weapon type and enjoy using it with Rellana's Cameo and typically Vyke's Dragonbolt for the Milady.

I’m running your death sorcery build that you previously went over in one of your videos. 80 int 80 faith with the prince of death staff. Was using sword of night and flame but switched to these twin blades. The build is so fun to use because I can use sorceries, incantations and the special skills of those twin blades.
Any chance you could do a spear of the impaler build? Those and Rellana’s twinblade are the two I’m most interested in so I’m glad I got at least this guide. Ty!!
Finally beat her with two great hammers and jump attacking the whole. DLC is brutal on higher ng+ but she was such a cool boss, especially that twin moon move with the divebomb…I fell in love

Ty for this I love these blades they’re so versatile and my favorite weapon in all of souls so far that twin turtle talisman is nice I didn’t even know about it and I’ve been struggling with stamina from rolling so much despite have endurance level 50 😂

This weapon, on its own, makes the early part of the DLC so worth it, I'm having so much fun with it. And i made a built which matches atleast 90% of what you showcased here so I'm on the right path.
A quality build really is the best choice for this DLC

I just beat Rellana tonight and got this weapon. I love its moveset, the Ash of War, and the AR is ridiculous. Cannot wait to use!

It will be great to see the lightning dual axes build and a new stormcaller curve sword.
I'm a faith fiend so I love using them. I always wanted to enjoy using the base game lightning axes but they don't scale with faith.

One thing I'd like if possible in future build guides is a stat spread for a NG+. I believe quite a few people including myself started the DLC in their NG+.

Great reward for a great fight. Respecced just to use it, and now I also have her spell equipped on the spellcaster rapier for a full Carian swordsaint build. I don't know who put all of these great weapons in one place, but they need a raise.

This could possibly be the BEST weapon in the GAME... My only complaint is, it does more Elemental Damage compared to Physical Damage - LOW POISE DAMAGE - if this weapon get a Poise Buff - it will be devastating. Yet, it scales better with Str/Dex - most enemies/bosses are weak against Physical type damage, so this weapon will shine the BEST in certain situations. To get the most damage output from this weapon - you will need to balance Str/Dex/Int/faith - example, 80str/80dex/80Int/80Faith...
This is awesome! Hope you can create a build for the Black Steel Greathammer. It's guard counter does the aoe from the charged attack of enemy black steel knights.
I love this weapon on my carian knight. I like the versatility it brings with the sweet light greatsword heavy attack when I am using my shield and easily switching into dual wielding. It is very nice

This weapon is amazing. Great for large crowds and a distance weapon for one one one battles.
I've been using this build with 80 int since I got it. love the battle mage vibe. My old build was greatmoon sword so made some couple of stat changes. sometimes I pop out the greatmoon sword for if I struggle with a boss fight

Because this is a paired weapon, it’s also possible to have the sacrificial axe in your phantom off-hand while dual wielding. This way you can get some free FP back on kills.
How do you equip the paired weapon in both hands?

Rellana’s Twinblade and the Sword of Night and Flame make for a very fun “sharp staff” build. Shard of Alexander and Rellana’s Cameo together provide a substantial damage boost to all four (Moon, Fire, Night, Flame stances) the skills
These swords are basically custom made for my build. Love it!
I always thought my ng+ build was just gonna be mage again but man is this blade too cool
I definitely think this is where I will pivot to once I have felt like I have done all I need to with farming cool enemies for drops with the Arcane build I went into the DLC with on purpose. It's just such a cool and flexible weapon. Very few things will resist physical, fire, and magic at the same levels.

This weapon really starts to shine in a level 200+ build. I have 40 str, 30 dex, 38 int, and 42 fth, which allows you to use damn near any weapon in the game if the Twin Blades are a bad fit for the encounter. I pair the Twin Blades with a greatshield with Shield Bash equipped, to give myself a safe interrupter attack that has good poise damage (something the twin blades are absolutely terrible at with standard attacks).

I love how they took the sword of night and flame hybrid concept and made an awesome weapon(s) that has an ash of war that looks like burn o flame and transient moonlight

I'm doing a hybrid caster now with this weapon, and it is awesome. I'm also using royal knight helm and the carian knight gauntlets with the rest of Rennala's set, and it is just peak fashion for me.

Yeah, Milady is just better for me. Kinda fun powerstancing cold milady with the fire to reset frost, but I really was sadly underwhelmed.
Even had run my fresh DLC build as Night and Flame to get used to the int/fth deal
This video helps alot. I really enjoy this weapon, but the split scaling on this weapon makes it hard to discern how to allocate your stats

Just one thing, if you’re planning on using a hybrid spell/incantation build the staff you get after defeating metyr allows you to cast both, it’s kinda niche but is really cool in the overall build
