- I feel bad for the negativity I spread about the update and RobTop himself over the past few months, as well as my "doom-posting" about 2.2.
I love this update and I want to express my thanks to RobTop for giving it to us, no matter how long it took.
Let's hope for good things in the future :)

I can not explain the happiness I had when I woke up just to see 2.2 finally being released! I'm not a veteran from 1.9, I started playing in 2020 and the fact I joined in this era is just unbealivable!

Dash is RopTop’s best level he ever created yet. The fact he pushed himself to do this for all of us is incredible. I knew 2.2 would come, it’s just a matter of “when will funny cube man randomly shadowdrop it out of nowhere?”
While I think it was an awful decision to cram everyhting into one update that would take years I forgive robtop now that Its out. Its just so fun and the love and passion put into this update is immense. Thank you robtop for everyhting :)
I mean, the crazy part is, he didn’t even add EVERYTHING. Thats why we’re still getting a 2.21

I always had faith in robtop.
I feel like some people did. But others just didn't really have faith in him because he was taking too long. The amount of effort he put through to make this update amazing is very stunning. Now people are very excited that 2.2 is out, considering they were shunning RobTop so hard that the update got delayed. Getting the 2.2 update on both platforms and getting approved by Google Play is hard sometimes after a game not being updated for a while
We waited for so long that it felt so unreal when it finally came out every few minutes I would say to myself “it’s really here I’m actually playing 2.2!”
It would be really fricking wicked if creators came together and made a guitar hero themed level...
This update is a perfect example of be careful what you wish for. Sure it’s an amazing update, but almost all of the features in it where thought of by the community and then they got mad at rob while he was making them?? I’m so happy he managed to push through the negativity and it really goes to show how amazing of a person he is.
People get mad at every new update when things change. Like so many people quit during 2.0 because they didn’t like the move trigger.
A lot of it is also pushed back into 2.21 as well. But hoepfully it comes soon

Oh my god. Never in a million years would I have dreamed see this happen. Now, I'm not a og or anything crazy, I started playing a few years ago. When I saw the 2.2 beta being updated rapidly, I got hyped. And then, one day, I logged on and saw "game updating, please wait". I could never describe my shock- thank you RobTop.
I love how Flub has done a complete 180 and now posts pretty good vids.
This sure was a quick turn from "2.2 is taking too long, Robtop has poor management and scope, we aren't hearing enough"

I never hated robtop for the delays because I know for a fact the new level editor was going to be amazing. This update wasn't meant for main levels it was meant to be a gift for us. I think this is the best Christmas gift we can get. Thank you robtop for spending 8 years making 2.2 for us instead of just leaving.
Do note that ONLY One person worked on this game
And it is quite hard to push out an update this big in a short amount of time, if onlyvone person is working on it as well as having to manage the servers and sealing its cracks in security
But honestly, this update is perhaps the best just from its sheer flexibility
It’s just such an awesome update. Nothing game breaking. No cause for panic at all among the community. Everything went perfectly and, for that reason, I forgive Rob completely for the delays.
I always was faithful in robtop, but he made a big mistake with the last 3 weeks of 2.1, not telling us that he didn't submit the game was a huge blow, and made the entire community go insane.
I saw a RUclips poll that had the title "will 2.2 come out in December", and 70% people voted no, I was in the 30%, since I still had faith for him and love for the game. The update met my expectations, it's f*cking amazing, I have a top 100 Speedrun on Jet lag, and playing it was a blast even thou I didn't even touch the editor more. GG

I’m a veteran and played this since I was 7, and after seven years, freshman year, 14, I was so excited to see this update. Thank you robtop!
Man, its been forever since I've seen you, I got recommended this video and I haven't realized that it's been 5 years since I've stopped watching, that being around when you quit for a bit... Im happy to see you having fun again!
2.2 is out, but is there fps bypass for iOS yet? The gameplay feels the same on my iPhone, which has the 120hz pro motion feature. There’s Still input lag that makes it difficult to play and still appears to be 60fps. There are no graphics options on the iOS version. Am I missing something? I want the game to actually be playable on my phone, that’s what I was most excited about 2.2 for! Someone please inform me.
The FPS can’t be raised on iPhones, but Robtop did raise the TPS. TPS is the thing that made the ship go straighter and it also made it easier to spam consistently with the wave
Man, look at how much we’ve been through.
From a time of both endless generic levels as well as bangers in 2017, to an era of pessimism in 2018, to the rise of several different creators in 2019 such as Knots and Xender Game, to a great evolution of creating styles and skills of top players in the 20’s, to tragic losses, and the excitement of GD10.
Many great things have happened since 2017, and I am simultaneously satisfied with the length of 2.1 as well as frustrated with it. But nonetheless, 2.2 is welcome in all this community’s arms. ^^
as someone who has been playing this game ever since cycles was the new level and the concept of extreme demons weren't even thought of, i was in literal tears when i played 2.2. i was so happy seeing the update finally come out and had a massive grin on my face playing it

I have been waiting for this update ever since I started playing. Not as soon as it was. I started the game in early 2023 and a couple days later I wanted more features. And now, it’s here! I did see a couple bugs for mobile though.
Bro it’s the same for me I feel thrown back to my 14 y/o self. I started playing in 1.9 and 2.0 came out during the summer holidays and it was fire. Now I’m an adult and I’m happy like a little kid cause a 4$ game got an update

I always disagreed with almost every bit of negativity about 2.2, key word ALMOST. I do forgive you for it though, I can understand why you might've felt that way.
I was playing minecraft on my laptop and I go to check my phone and I see a notification from robtops Twitter saying check steam and I did and I almost cried due to being happy for waiting for so long for this update I've played this game since I was 11 and now I'm 19 and this game kept me from doing alot of negative things and made me a good person overall and I love robtop for that, he gave me an outlet to express my emotions in a GAME and I never felt a way about a game as much as u do about this game and regardless of waiting I still would love robtop if it didn't come out this year, all I want to say is thank you robtop for giving me hope when I never gave up in you, HAPPY DASHING EVERYONE 🎉
i think the timing for the update was immaculate, it felt like 2.2's release was robtop's christmas gift for the community, even if the october 2023 announcement didn't age very well. still so glad i finally managed to buy the game instead of continuing to play it on a pirated copy, this game deserves all the support it has received over the years 🫶 excited to see more in the future

2018.. the day i first played subzero sparked my love in the game.

yeah I kinda hated you for hating on robtop, tho the hate from you was kinda understandable, like it was supposed to come out in mid 2018 at first, but then he started adding more features and fixing even more bugs. Kinda robtop's fault that he left us hanging for more than half the time the game's been released, without any update. We should've been at 2.6 or 2.7 already with this many features.
