In my experience even a momentarily power of less then half a second will burn out a Rokuhan turnout motor. As a result of my testing and burning a turnout I ordered the KATO remote turnout controls which give a small burst for a tenth of a second or so. Doesn’t look that good but it will keep my turnouts and wallet happy.

    Hello
    Thanks for the video
I'm going to set up a circuit with Rokuhan
I want to automate it but I have a question
Do the turnouts work with 12 -10 V DC?
Can the current pulse be a constant switch type or an instantaneous push-button type?
    Thank you

Kato now has screws to change from power routing to non power routing for both nr 6 and nr 4 that I purchased recently and my Rokuhan turnout back plate and kato back plates both show where to place screws for change over

Garth Hamilton woah Kato allows electrical screws on #6s now? That used to be #4s only.
