- Опубликовано: 13 сен 2024
- Did you snap your RCA in one of your devices like your speaker, television or amp? Well fear no more cos this video is a simple and easy way to remove that broken RCA male pin from your system. The tools you need are everyday tools you can find easily in your home. These tools are: a fire lighter, tiny nail, and a nose-plier. Bend the nail at the tip and then heat it up. Insert the nail into the broken RCA inside the amp, subwoofer or TV part while it is still hot. This would melt the broken bit which is plastic. Wait a few minutes and the pull it out. That's all!!

Ummm so this worked but _technically_ lol. I guess I pushed too hard or didn't heat the nail enough cuz it just busted the piece straight thru and launched it deep into the amp. I'm freaking out assuming i just ruined the whole thing but i plug in the new RCAs and... It works?!? Sounding crisp as ever 😄......🤔🤔.... THANK YOU!!
Not trying to freak you out or make you panic but now "there is a small metallic bit inside your AMP" (the stuff you wanted to remove). This can bridge your AMP inside which would then damage it. I would advise you find a way to get that out (open your AMP or bend it sideways which may hopefully make it fall out).

Hey DJ,

Why should we bend the pin?
What will happen if I am not bending the pin?

Right I understand. That works for that. But I have the metal pin sleeve that fits on the plastic pin stuck. How does one get that out if the plastic jack is not there?
Reinsert what came out, follow my tutorial again "ensuring the nail is curved or bent" and then pull it all out at an angle.
In my case there is no plastic for the nail to go through it’s only the metal shield that is stuck in there. Any tips??
Insert the plastic bit that came out or broke off and then start the process.

Any ideas how to get the metal casing out? Did this on two only to realise that the first one had left the metal casing inside the jack 🙁
To get out the metal casing follow this process:
1. Return the rubber part that came out alone without the metal casing.
2. Leave it in there for about 2 mins (this would allow it to cool down and expand back into the metal casing).
3. Now bend the nail at the edge and then heat it up again.
4. Insert the nail into the jack and leave for about 2 mins.
5. Now pull it out.
This should hopefully pull it all out mate. Let me know how it goes 👍🏾😎

this didn’t work for me it messed up the whole connnectors, great thanks!
May I ask what you did exactly to "mess up your connectors"?
1. Did you melt them?
2. Did you end up breaking off the WHOLE connector from your amplifier, subwoofer or TV?
I am genuinely curious to know how it got messed up.
Snap the pointed end off a cocktail stick so u got a thick end put a small dab of superglue 3 on the end push it in as far as it will go leave to dry for 2 mins and pull out... quick n easy and this was done on a broken metal pin
Not too sure about this because the key difference between the cocktail stick and my video is with yours you are "pushing against the object" but with mine it "slides into it" because the nail is HOT and it would melt the plastic tip. Thanks for sharing your idea though 👍🏾😎
@@DjBlinkBlink No worries tho not sure i understand what you mean Most rca pin sockets ive seen are plastic coated inside i wouldnt want to put any heat near it. The cocktail stick only pushes the broken pin in further a couple of mm then stops dead allowing it to stick then slide out . Anyway as i said i might have misunderstood what ya meant... have a good 1 👍
The plastic was pulled out but the metal around it was stuck inside any idea how to remove it? Thanks.

My problem is that just the metal part broke off and the plastic stayed on the cable, so if anybody have any suggestion would apriciate it. Tryed different tools but it's still in.
Are you sure there is no ceramic bit "in the centre" part that broke off?
@@DjBlinkBlink yes, the ceramic or plastic part is undamaged still attached to the cable
@@attilathehun79 okies. 3 options:
1. Insert the cable back (with the ceramic bit) and snap it (this is done at your own risk)
2. Open up your device and remove the metal bit that broke off (still done at your own risk)
3. Take it to a specialist to remove the broken part (no risk to you)
One love,

@@DjBlinkBlink Thx, I'll try the first option. I was thinking about the same thing. The cable was already thrown away but I have a cheap RCA cable and I'll just brake off the pin from that one, and insert the ceramic part in. Thank you for the quick reply. Take care.

This didn't work for me. The plastic receptacle that was in my subwoofer also melted, then bonded to the metal of the broken RCA pin. When I pulled the nail out, the plastic from the pin came out. But the metal sleeve was left behind and bonded to the rca receptacle
This would only happen if you either overheated the nail or most importantly failed to "bend the nail" at the bottom.
