    For anyone trying this, I would recommend using a straightened fish hook instead of a nail. The small gauge will minimize any outward pressure and the barb will 100% hook on the first attempt.

    Thanks, Joe! I had no idea they were making those out of plastic. I was hooking up a DVD player with brand new AV cables and the raggedy thing broke off in there! But the nail WORKS.

    Saw this video when I broke my rca, told my self I’ll come back when I put my system in my new car. The time came and this technique worked like butter! Wasn’t trying to dismount the amp, and open it.

    I just used a thin screw and it worked. Saved me so much work. The plastic was missing so the screw worked well. Mine was deep in there too. Thanks

    Wow. Thanks for the idea dude. In my case it is broken small and deep inside. I heated a safety pin and chucked it in, it melted the plastic around and stuck tight to safety pin and I easily removed it. Before I tried to super glue a stick and pull it it didn't work then I saw your video.

    niice , i tried the nail , and a needle , but it kept slipping out , i ended up using a very small picture hanger eyelet screw , same method , and let it get hot and then screwed it into the plastic and cool down and slowly pulled out lol , niice , thnxx for the info

    I used a heated a small screw and after placing screwed the hot screw very little ie less than quarter circle.
    Waited for few seconds and easily pulled out the broken pin. Thanks
