@@endezeichengrimm 😂 wow it’s been a year and they’re still in the box, thanks for the reminder! I’m a bassist these days but definitely will not loose love for elec guitar.
That's probably a matter of tweaking the mix and tone settings... Besides, there's way more going on, like pickups, way of playing, EQs, speakers, cabinets, etc. - These tiny differences aren't going to matter much as variables are all over the place.
MIX knob on the Skysurfer is always below half regulatian while Hall of Fame FX LEVEL knob is always over half the range on the video. I don't want to complain, but the strenght of signal is similar to each other effects in both cases?
skysurfer used is about half the price of hof... a fun pedal for around $40... nothing earth shattering.. but what would you expect at a price point like that
Quiksilver yeah Bryan is saying that the "reverb" knob on the skysurfer controls the amount of decay and the "mix" knob controls the overall level of the reverb (kind of counter intuitive but when you actually mess with one in person its evident)
The skysurfer seems to have a very "hollow" sound. Almost like if you were listening to a guitarist in a cave that's standing 50 yards away. Whereas the HOF sounds like the guitarist is in the cave but standing right next to you.
Dude I love your videos! I have a question for you man! I love the reverse reverb sounds of MVB and other shoegaze/ambient bands, I see that the tc electronics HOF doesn´t have a reverse setting but the Flashback has one, is there any difference in the sound of a reverse delay and reverse reverb? that always confused me I don´t really know if should get a reverb pedal with reverse settings or a delay pedal with that ...if you answer I will be the happiest dude ever :)
Thanks man :) I don't really use reverse reverbs much.. but i would say that there is a difference between the two for sure.. delay making multiple reverse sounds and reverbs only doing the one reversal.. the Digitech Polara has a reverse reverb setting.. try checking that out.. I have a demo of it @ ruclips.net/video/sCZQ50UeQcU/видео.html I've got demos of a few reverse delays too :) let me know if there is a pedal you'd like to see demoed! Hope this helps!
Thanks for answering dude you´re awesome! really cool seeing someone focusing on more ambient kind of stuff instead of playing blues all the time xdd I´m actually getting an Alesis quadraverb from a friend of mine but later on I think I will find a more compact thing I was thinking of an Hardwire RV-7 or a Digiverb
The Skysurfer Rev sounds much warmer and better than the HOF. Plus, it's 50% or more cheaper. Stupid if you wouldn't prefer it. The gimmiks that the HoF offers more can be forgotten anyway.
I mean the surfer looks much prettier than hof, which makes me feel better when playing through it. THIS IS IMPORTANT.
Haha.. I have skysurfer and now bought hof as well, let’s see which is the keeper. I only need for ambient church tones.
@@onzkicg So which did you keep?

You nailed it
i legit bought the Skysurfer just because of the color i didnt even test it before
For the value / options you Cant go wrong with the Skysurfer !
Man,these new budget pedals are huge like bricks
Yes. They are BUDGET.
Bricks to build your sound ;)
@@TheBaconWizard Yes. They are BUTT JET
Dang, I gotta keep saving for the HOF. Skysurfer is nice, but now I know what i would be missing.
the hall of fame sounds like it would cut through the mix a bit better but the skysurfer sounds warmer, IMO.

Hi...may i know.... How can you just plug one cable in hof stereo straight into amp .....does it work?
the splash on the HOF is just better in spring.. Shame I really was hoping I could go for the skysurfer
nice stuff
skysurfer used is about half the price of hof... a fun pedal for around $40... nothing earth shattering.. but what would you expect at a price point like that
Nice demo Ryan
Thanks man
Which would you prefer if you were to choose?
The decay control makes me prefer the HOF.
Luiz Janela isnt that what the "reverb" knob is? Mix being effect level and tone being tone.
Quiksilver yeah Bryan is saying that the "reverb" knob on the skysurfer controls the amount of decay and the "mix" knob controls the overall level of the reverb (kind of counter intuitive but when you actually mess with one in person its evident)
very good video dude, efficient trial/comparison ! much appreciated
Skysurfer is great playing in the sky
HoF is great playing in Hall
Meaning are what you with ''sky''
By far, the Hall of Fame (sounds more natural and transparent).
The skysurfer sound a little fuzzy and blur
The skysurfer seems to have a very "hollow" sound. Almost like if you were listening to a guitarist in a cave that's standing 50 yards away. Whereas the HOF sounds like the guitarist is in the cave but standing right next to you.
Tha would probably be less the case with the reverb and mix settings turned down...
It's a function of the mix knob. You can dial the guitarist "closer" on the Skysurfer than this demo has done.
Why do you never use clean sound?
Sometimes a reverb is beautiful when you can 't ear it !!!!!!!!
Is this even a question? A real challenge: Skysurfer vs Biyang Triverb
good idea :)
Tc is good but they do not understand the word dripping..

El Padrino I've never heard of a reverse reverb. But I'm a huge fan of reverse delay too. One of the main reasons I like my flashback.

...on that note! you should demo the Hardwire RV-7 or the Digiverb xd. Greetings from a fan in Bolivia :)
This might be a dumb question, but why, on the HOF, are you mono in and stereo out?
not a dumb question at all :) I have absolutely no idea why I've done that haha must've been a mistake
I only see one cable coming out. How's that stereo?
skysurfer sounds like an empty can. but it looks so much better
The Skysurfer Rev sounds much warmer and better than the HOF. Plus, it's 50% or more cheaper. Stupid if you wouldn't prefer it. The gimmiks that the HoF offers more can be forgotten anyway.
the Sky Surfer are rehoused Behringer circuits.
And that’s not bad thing. Some behringer circuits are great but their plastic housing sucked. I have 3 from this line and they’re impressive
why sooooooo much verb?
To make any differences plain.
Nice video but your playing doesn't really allow to get the nuances of each setting for each individual pedal
Waiting on your video.
Yes it does.
Why switch slowly with your finger and still always record it on video? it's half the video
