  • We took a weekend trip to the west of England to visit some new collections and catch up with some friends. We did a double header on our first day, starting at Axe valley Wildlife Park, where we met up with fellow enzoosiast Thomas, who gave us a tour of the park, as he visit's fairly regularly (he makes a little cameo in the video).
Upon entering the park, the first section is quite compact, containing lots of smaller animals, such as bush dogs, lemurs, otters, leopard cats, and a four species of mongoose. They have a small indoor house that holds Potto and the rare Finlayson's squirrel. In normal times, they offer animal handling sessions here.
The second section of the park is a lot more expansive, mainly housing some hoofstock, lynx and farm animals.
Some of the enclosures are a bit dated, but the park are working on improving these, and some of the newer enclosures are well designed.
The park is well worth a (half day) visit. You could combine as we did, and visit Shaldon Wildlife Park on the same day. That video will be released shortly.

    Thanks for watching!
