G’day Gordy great ideas I have these filters on my 462 early ones work great 👍 I saw you testing out the new Husqvarna 592xp when you teamed up with Anton . I also own the new Husqvarna 592 xp been running that saw for 3 months the factory filter on these saws are shit getting a lot Saw dust getting through into carburettor. I would love to see you design same thing for 592xp. Love your products they make a big improvement on all my saws will always be purchasing from you keep up the good work👍.
Great job guys! I’m running this in my 400 and 500 stihls daily (with bark boxes and WSC dogs of course). I’m a huge fan and appreciate that your stuff is designed SMART! A few fellas here run the Jason Eagon SHOT and it seems nice but I find those HEAVY (yours seems a nicer design IMO). When possible I’m on the 400 with a 25 bar and with your upgraded kit I’m able to do just about everything up to two feet in diameter to limbing as long as it’s not old growth hard woods (for the the 500 is my go to). Ordered the whole kit for my 400cm. Sounds super good and crisp but I had a HELL of a time getting the filter to stay on the housing. As soon as I tightened the hose clamp at all the clamp or the filter would pop off the housing. I took a scotch bright pad to all the surfaces that touch and cleaned the edges with carb cleaner and it seemed to stay.
I had the older style from red beard. Loved it, but It did separate on me. I’m sure because I was washing it out with gas. I’ve switched to the 3” uni and I use foam filter cleaner now. Works well on my 372’s
I found out what I was asking you.the 661 I bought used ,the person was running a 500i uni filter on the stock carb mount .he did not have stack or set up properly, also the new 500i filters I got ae great . Thanks
Are the filters for 500i on the westcoast website the new design? The pictures on the site don't have the polyurethane ring on them. Redbeard saw is out of stock on them and I need some. Thanks

I just put one of these foam filters on my 462. Its a pretty new saw, maybe 60 hours on it. Got a conventional tuneable carb, not the m tronic. I live and cut timber at about 8000 ft, and I am interested in learning how to retune my carb settings.. so far it bogs down when cutting, feels weak; low rpm at full throttle. Should I richen or lean the H ?

I wish I could run these foamies but I have pretty much only stihl "0" series saws. Those WCS dogs are on every saw I have though.
