This brought back so many memories!! I wanna go to the shops and buy all of those! (Except the amasi and the pink sweets) Also Sihle is an absolute legend, and one of the funniest guys I know😂
The Champion Toffee you didn't like is actually deeply rooted in many older generations of South Africans. The iconic toffee brand produced by a company known as Candy Tops and which was for a long time actually known more popularly as Wilson's Champion Toffees (or just "Wilsons") has actually been around since the 1940's and synonymous with many a South African childhood memories. Later the company changed hands and subsequently from there on things went down hill. So much so that hundreds of people lost their jobs after legal battles at it's plant in the Eastern Cape in 2016. That said, its great that such an icon is still around... eventhough not liked by all but still loved by many.
@@emigraceI challenge you to take the Clozemaster 10 languages 10 questions each challenge. Pick any 10 languages video yourself taking the challenge and inspire us. (whether you have studied are familiar with or not). This is a fun opportunity to showcase your talent with a little bit of humility proving you too are human and still a language learner. You can put the flags of the 10 languages you choose for the challenge in both the thumbnail and the title and tag the video as #takingtheclozemaster 10 languages challenge. While also tagging the languages of the challenge. When choosing from a diverse variety of languages consider this, to include some of those you're familiar with, those that you are not, and those that you will later learn. Choosing to include a conlang like Interlingua and an ancient language like Latin will keep the challenge diverse while bringing recognition to these languages (you may surprise yourself). Consider getting a hold of Clozemaster they may be interested in sponsoring the video. We as a community of language Learners need a challenge that we can all appreciate and try together. To get the most out of the video challenge adjust the settings as follows: put the skills to listening, the question count to 10, and the mode to multiple choice. Then you can adjust the account to dark mode (as it's more attractive) and the default speed to 75% for better hearing the questions. Doing a dry run will ensure all the settings are correct. Keep a notepad by your side to keep track of the language scores. Before you end the video it would be nice if you encouraged other polyglots and language Learners to take up the challenge. 21:40 ahhhhh the nostalgia! When I was a kid, every time I went to the shops with my dad I always got a strawberry yogi sip and had it on the way home. Also the rating you gave for TV bar is just unacceptable...
i didn't know we still have the pink pills I think most children grew up with chomps in their mouths, thats why its so highly recomended Biltong goes to tier bokke +2
I love the bible verse on the wall❤Yeah most of your ratings I agree on (exept Sihle's 😂) I really hope you're enjoying our country so far!And the steri stumpy I agree on 100%!
I never really understood people who drink amaas, just cook some uphuthu and mix that ish up and I'm mad y'all picked the strawberry Toppers instead of the choc and mint ones😂
I hate to be that guy, but I was just wondering: In this age of self-love and anti-body-shaming, isn't it a tad offensive to have "kroes" as a negative category? I mean, it's literally "nappy hair". Just a thought.
As a south african, I really don't like how he called her the n word and I generally view the n word as a filth word used initially to describe black people. I also don't feel comfortable when he says that she sounds white because if the roles were reversed she would have been called a racist. I really love your content and I think u are a nice person but don't let this guy make these racial slurs to u , and don't keep quiet just because you are white, I don't like using the term white, black, Indian whatever because we all came from Adam. We just have different shades. Although I am classified as 'black' I view myself as dark skinned. Keep living in God's will🙏🔥
I was raised in PE but been living in Nelspruit since September '23 so I have a vested interest in your content! Lived in the Chinese community in Morningside most of my life till my mid 30s then moved around!!
NO NO NOOOO!!! Your ratings were so far off on some of these items, it pains me as a South African to hear the saaad critique! You have to be a South African to appreciate those black toffees, those were the bomb! Fizzers, again, you had to have grown up eating those to appreciate them, adults buying them is a bit too childish. Chomp! weh ma mehhhh!!! It was the best chocolate for kids on a very tight budget, that's a legacy chocolate and deserves BOKKE position, other people just won't get it! And who in their right mind doesn't put Creme Soda and Granadilla twist in Bokke? Crazy people, that's who! As for ouma rusks and all this "Its dryyy" nonsense..Tsek!! Dip it in tea or coffee first before saying its dryyyy! (I just can't at this point!, no more destroying my entire childhood here!)
No man! The 3 items on the Home Affairs list so far are my happiest childhood memories! 😂
Noooo 😂😂
This guy is SO FUNNY. I'M DEAD
This brought back so many memories!! I wanna go to the shops and buy all of those! (Except the amasi and the pink sweets)
Also Sihle is an absolute legend, and one of the funniest guys I know😂
Pronouncing Marie biscuits like they were named after the nanny in the Sound of Music. 😅
😭😂
they just used the Woolies name lol
When Sihle put home affairs dead last had me on the ground🤣
Same😂

Most People in Sa don't drink amas they mix a good amount of it with phuthu and add sugar than eat it according to me
Also where are the mahewu's
No sugar for me. But yah you are correct
Putting champion toffee in home affairs 😢 that's my fave suck on it until it's soft don't chew it off the bat
Amazing video! In all fairness to Amasi/sour milk, it's better eaten with uphuthu or Krummel pap than as a drink.
Do not insult the BILTONG. Beef jerky is at level 0. Never ever insult the Biltong. 😊
Love the tannie koleka cameo
We don't drink amasi hhayi bo ,we pour over uphuthu and depending on how you grewup eating it you'd put sugar
No Nut Puffs or Beacon Marshmallow Easter Eggs?
I love the bible verse on the wall❤Yeah most of your ratings I agree on (exept Sihle's 😂) I really hope you're enjoying our country so far!And the steri stumpy I agree on 100%!
What about mageu and danup?
The WAY I have half the video left so I put it on 1.25 speed so I can watch the whole thing before loadshedding😔
Smh should have named the last tier eskom 😭😂
I never really understood people who drink amaas, just cook some uphuthu and mix that ish up
