I've been living in Port Elizabeth, South Africa since the end of January, and I thought it would be fun to share some of the funny/interesting/different things I've noticed about SA so far. Really hope you enjoy! 🤍

And that on a Sunday, when traffic volumes are relatively low.
Edit: and then they go on a very violent strike when they get fined or impounded when they shrug off fines. Taxis are a criminal gang in South Africa, as is their 'union' SANTACO.

    Awesome video! :D
A couple comments from another South African:
    1) Biltong and Provita together can be pretty good, if you like that kind of savory combination.
    2) The loadshedding app is called 'Eskom se Push'. Translate the pun if you dare, it's pretty classic Afrikaans SA humor :P
    3) Car guards were originally an initiative to employ homeless people. Sadly large chunks of it has turned into a collection of dodgy 'businesses' with turf warfare and all the usual SA elements.
    4) I'm in KZN. We get less cows and more goats on the roads here, at least closer to the city. And a lot of chickens lately, for some reason.
    5) We're not just a 'somewhat dangerous' place, statistically we're battling for top spot in the world for various violent crimes.
