  • It's time to process my first round of chickens and in this video, I'll walk you through how to do it step by step.
Raising chickens for meat is not as complicated as it might seem. I stopped buying meat from the grocery store a few years ago and have never looked back. Stay tuned to see exactly how to process a chicken from start to finish.

Great job! I don’t have a nice plucker like that, I only have the one that goes on a drill. it takes a lot longer and makes a huge mess. I love how the kids help out.

We managed to do , I think, 30 birds in the day. Alot. There were 5 people, though. Had to buy a new freezer to hold them all. lol

I’m sure there are others showing real life things and pushing some BS limits but I appreciate that you’re doing it and going in depth with your explanations! I grew up working on farms. Hunt and fish etc. people complain yet still buy meat at the store and that meat magically appears at the store without any of what you’ve had to do 😂😎 my youngest child and only daughter who’s about to be 17 is also named Bailey. Love what you’re doin ! Take care

The meat has to come from somewhere and I’d much rather know where than get it off a shelf at the store 🐓. That’s nice they have both the same name, mine is spelled Bailee 🙂

We used to save the heart, gizzard, liver, and neck as we used to use them for the best tasting gravy (not the US style of gravy). We also used to keep them from the turkey too, especially for Christmas Dinner.
Look up Giblet gravy if you’re not sure of what I mean.

One of my customers told me elevates the feed so chickens have to work/exercise to get their. That way they don't die of heart attacks. Fairly common f I r meatbirds.
