I would definitely agree. One of the nicest BMW models for sure. I’ll have to buy one again at some point but with a 2.8 or 3.0 engine because the 2.2L with 170hp wasn’t powerful enough in my opinion. Maybe it’s okay for a daily but I was thinking about making it into a drift car but in the end I decided to sell it and get something else. I’m thinking about buying an e36/e46 and making it into a street/drift car in the next couple of months so that should be fun haha

ogólnie to kilka miesięcy po sprzedaniu betuni tak zauważyłem ale myśle o zakupie takiej właśnie 320ci z m54b22 w środku, i ciekawi mnie jak sie nią jeździ i jakie są w nich najczęstsze problemy?
Auto sprzedałem parę miesięcy temu. Miałem ją jakiś rok czasu i nie miałem żadnych problemów z tym silnikiem, jedynie wymieniłem uszczelkę pokrywy zaworów bo ciekł olej. Z tego co czytałem to te silniki m54b22 pobierają olej ale ja nie zauważyłem żeby pobierała olej. Ogólnie w e46 trzeba dobrze sprawdzić podwozie/progi szczególnie mocowanie wózka bo tam lubi podłoga pękać i rdzewieć. A tak to myślę że nie ważne jakie e46 się kupi zawsze coś będzie do zrobienia ze względu na rocznik tych aut, jeżeli ktoś lubi przy autach robić i zrobi dużo sam to można zaoszczędzić trochę.
Good question I guess it depends what you want the car for and if you want to modify it. Although I would go for a petrol car mainly for the sound but I’m not sure about your situation. And in my case I would also go for a coupe cause they look better so if I was buying either I would go for e46 coupe or e92 coupe. They are both nice cars for a daily car. Just do research about things that fail on both models when it comes to engine and transmission cause they are usually the main things that can go wrong and cost a lot to repair or replace. Sold the car over a year ago but I’ll definitely buy another one at some point but 2.8 or 3.0. Next time I’ll buy one I’ll definitely modify it and look into the clutch delay valve. One of the nicest looking BMWs in my opinion 😀
m54b22 to dobry silnik dla kogos kto nie miał nigdy stycznosci z r6, sam mam m54b22 podaje jak trzeba ale niestety mam problem z gigantycznym spalaniem oleju i kopceniem, poprostu zle trafilem
Zgadzam się fajny silnik dla nowych posiadaczy r6 ale słyszałem że są problemy właśnie ze spalaniem oleju. Ja chyba dobrze trafiłem bo nie zauważyłem żeby spalało olej czy kopciło

M54, brings back the days, great engine 👍🏽. 3.0L was the ideal engine in my opinion brilliant low down torque and usable power.

It’s 5 gears. The shift knob is from a 1 series I think, that’s how I bought the car and never really bothered changing it haha
