    This needs to be copied everywhere there's homeless. No one should have to sleep in the freezing cold.

      It is cold inside them even in October. You walk through the ice and snow to go to the restroom building even when you have issues that make you per s lot. Staff and the contract security company enjoy calling individuals fag, retard,crackhead, soft, and any abusive comment because they can make you leave if you comment back. The foundation will purposely cripple your chances for doing for yourself by demanding all your information so they can ruin things like disability cases, tell employers are homeless, and down talk you to everyone.

    I’m really glad this is working out so far. Some of the people I don’t see downtown anymore I assume are there. I had been wondering if they freeze and die and nobody notices.

      I just did one 8x12 for a man cave and the building was $4,500 and to finish it with insulation, flooring, wall covering, heat, and a/c it was close to an extra $4000. With $600,000 they should be able to do about 63 but that is with volunteers so probably half that paying carpenters.

    That's a start people helping people. Times are even harder with the virus. People need to be able to distance them self's to keep from being infected. And there's snow on the ground. It was 7 degrees with a wind chill of negative 2 degrees yesterday morning here in saint Joseph's Michigan. I've been living on the streets for 30 years. I'm lucky I've had a car to live in most of it. I feel sorry for the people on the streets right now.

    • @bigdenver7325

      @Mr Wouldn't doing just that be the LESSER of two evils? There are NUMEROUS properties in the greater Los Angeles area that are VACANT. NUMEROUS properties within the COUNTY of Los Angeles that are VACANT. How much could a shed cost? How much could it cost to go through one of these "little house" communities and pick up the trash once a week? To empty the outhouses?

    • @hughjanus9557
      @hughjanus9557 3 года назад +2

      @Mr there is alot of available housing that would work.

      It’s a super involved complicated situation. It breaks my heart that those who have to connections and surplus funds do nothing. I obviously can easily say this as I don’t have the means but I am pretty convinced in my own heart that IF I ever had something happen and came in to a huge sum of money , I mean, huge, AND a miracle happened that I also had the good connections, that this is the first thing I’d begin with, is the homeless & starving and cold, etc. I mean it’s not my business what rich people do with their money. Zero. But I just can’t relate. And my heart still breaks and there’s still nil for action for people who need a hand to stand up. I don’t want to be self-righteous or anything as I’ve been there in my life, and ah I don’t know what to do. If most people who could do things on small scale, to help, build the foundation back into a better society where everyone’s not so isolated and alone in time of great need etc. . Nobody can accomplish this alone.💜🙏🌻

    These are better than sleeping in tents but they are shacks with heaters; no water or toilets etc. better to house them in unused warehouse space that has plenty of space and running water; heat; lights etc. that way they can get medical care; drug rehab and job training easily.
