I think the b&w 705s and 800 series sound the best with McIntosh amps.

Try adding a REL T7x to this combo to complete the picture. I run the earlier CM6s2 with REL T7i for several years & until today still amazed at how good this combo is. The sub will take the 705S2 up few notches in terms of sound stage, depth & even the mid & highs.

Why REL? B&W has excellent range of db and dbd subwoofers which are much better option with B&W 700 series

@@kopsejak yeah sure B&W do make subs as well. I am just recommending based on my own experience with REL as it mates seamlessly with my own B&W spks.

I don't think monoblock is needed in this system. Works well with an integrated amp.
