I've been driving my i20 petrol (Magna) for the past 10 years now... Actual mileage is indeed 11-12 in city and max 16.6 kmpl on the highway @90-120 kmph with air-conditioning ON.
@@TheTwinPost same here...I have a i20 active petrol S 2017 variant. I get 12-13 kmpl in city & 16.6-18.6 kmpl if driven upto 110 kmph with AC always on. Superb stability & Silent. Costly 3rd & 4th paid service.

@@soorajtr6692 yes i20 maintenance is costly. Though Hyundai boasts about its lowest service cost for their every service schedule. A 40k kms major paid service costed10k for a petrol I20 active car in Pune. Even when i compared with two service dealers Service estimate was the same. Service Costs are even Higher in Bangalore.
Never city milege is ok Highway you can get 16 minimum...

@@lichazra Ride quality, sitting comfort, high-speed stability, braking, handling, everything is good. For highways in terms of quick overtakes & lane changes i haven't faced any problem till now.

I own i20 2015 Asta diesel. I must assure you all that this vehicle offers better performance, safety & comfort (especially the rear seat). On the mileage front, it offers 12-14 in city(with AC) & 18-20 on highways(with AC). The best thing I like about my vehicle is quality of material being used in the vehicle & the torque it's diesel engine offers. I am really happy to have this vehicle.

I have maintained my car to the perfection that no one can guess its age.
I am surprised people never talk about the gearbox. It is butter!
No cabin noise even after so many years.
Lacks power when loaded full(5 people + luggage), else it is fine.
After 5 years the maintenance cost is high compared to same segment cars. It is approximately (min.) 20k for each service.
If you are okay accepting and using this as a typical family car then you will be very happy!
High service cost, low milage. His I 20 gives fortunners milage.

Yes I also have I20 asta optional 2016 petrol . Very nice experience I have driven 36000km till now very nice car.
I also own i20 petrol and the downside according to me is the intial acceleration of the car.
But at higher speeds its very stable and provide confidence.

Since its a quite engine people tend to drive high speeds in low gear . Example: In 2nd gear driving at 40km/hr. at 3rd gear till 80kmpl. As engine sound does not rise so much so we don't feel we are raising the RPM so much. Drive at right speed for each gear - then milage will be OK

i 20 also have many drawbacks.... But i like fit and finish quality in it....... best in the segment
I drive a verna 2018 and am quite happy with its mileage. It gives me 18kmph on the highway and around 12-14 in the city.
The only issue I have is the low seating position.
That’s because it is a sedan as well as aHyundai. I have noticed Hyundai’s cars have lower seating position comparatively.
For Family Verna is not good. In terms of rear side seats

Mere pass i20 2013 model hai petrol usme bhi yehi millage ka hi problem hai mere car me fix hai 10kmpl ka lekin ab 2 se 3 sal ne clutch ka issue bahu aarha hai agar kuch time ya mahine bhi car khadi reh jati hai to clutch ka air pressure nikla jata hai usse thik karane ke liye clutch cylinder lagwana padta hai jiske cost 10k tak aati hai filal abhi phr aise problem aaya to abhi ek kit lagaye hai to problem nahi aayega bole hai .. filal Raipur Chhattisgarh me lockdown hai khulega tab car chala ke dekhan padega ..

We have 2 Hyundai i20s one and is 2016 i20 Asta(O) CRDI and
2nd is 2018 i20 Asta(O) Kappa VTVT... 💕✌🙌
Both are doing great till now, no issues at all... Mileage in diesel I get 17kmpl in city and 22 to 25kmpl on highways WHEREAS for Petrol I get 13 to 15kmpl in city and 18 to 20kmpl on highways................
Apart from Mileage , Car is best in comfort and convenience , quality fit and finish of interiors are good, no such exposures of materials in foot compartment like in Baleno..😁
And we will plan to buy Next Gen i20 2020, because its going to be a hitter in its segment once again❤

Good honest review, I am amazed that this guy touched 170kmph and there was no stablity issue , it's wrong.
I have driven my i20 active petrol 2017 car at 140 kmph speed, it feels rock solid and glued to the road. But top speed of i20 petrol car is 170 kmph...not sure how the reviewer said he touched 180 kmph speed.
@@udaynair1 touched 182kmph with i20 petrol! Depends on gear shifting after 3rd gear, no baleno, swift can catch this once 3rd gear is engaged!
@@garvitkaim1549 agree ..3rd gear and 2nd gear of i20 petrol engine has lot of power to extract...best for overtaking on 2 lane State highways. The rev happy 1.2 Kappa petrol engine redlines at 7000-8000 rpm..tats quite a lot reving for a petrol car

Yeah , only brand above it in mileage is maruti. They sacrifice a lot of build quality and features to down the price and increase the mileage. In my opinion, its a trade off between features, luxury or mileage. You can either have features and luxury or mileage.

Hyundai i20 petrol major issue : I own an i20 petrol, and I have replace the master and slave for more than 3 times and still the company has not fixed the issue.
This is an issue with all the i20 petrol versions.
If u r not convinced , go to hyundai service center , there will be atleast a car parked there with a broken master kit or this sticky clutch issue.
Beware of this issue.
If this breaks , u have no other option. But to tow the car to th3 nearby service center

Good review... But I am little bit sceptical about the mileage portion, 9km/L is too little in bumper to bumper traffic also.
I am satisfied with what ever the owner said except for the performance part . I20 petrol is extremely underpowered . And he is saying if your priority is performance buy I20 . If the performance of I20 petrol is good than what about Baleno petrol performance .
If it would have been diesel I would have agreed but not for Petrol I20 .

My bro owns i20 elite, the car is underpowered, not efficient AC, mileage is worst, steering is not accurate, rear seat space is congested, service cost is high, require frequent gear change...apart from this everything is fit and fine. Waiting for the new i20, hope Hyundai make some improvement....

I'm using hyundai cars since 2008, santro, i10 & i20. Currently I'm using i20 asta, diesel 2018 make & 110% happy with my choice. Drive quality awesome, build quality 10/10, features top notch. Comfort excellent. Overall 9/10 because no cruise control given at 9.30 lakh. Moreover, engine refinement is best compare to all other cars.
Lol people criticize altroz for low power and they say i20 power output is good😂😂 ... Both produce almost same amout of power ...
On the other hand Tata has tatti after sales service and hundai steering provides zero feedback...😭

I20 petrol ne mujhe bhi bohot rulaya. Magar ab apni gaadi ko buraa kaun bolta hai. Bina ruke chalti rehti hai bas itna hi kaafi hai. akhir Maruti walo se bade dildaar ,matlab kanjoos naa hai hum, aur samjhdaar hai hum Hyundai Customers.

Mileage depends on your driving skills,compared to maruti Suzuki i20 mileage just behind no doubt. I take i20 sportz plus (petrol)on January 2020,it gives 12 kmpl in city 18 on highway with ac.i think that it good mileage, I am fully satisfied.

Fit and finish of i20 is top noty. I live in himachal pradesh and roads here are quite rough. I have driven my car quite roughly on extremely bad ghat roads . Still there is no rattle .
i20 is coming with facelift those who are planning to buy wait for it but these model is also good that what I like about Hyundai over vw.
