    Can you please clarify the procedure...
    Do you reapply WD 40 ...after “each car and wheel wash” during the winter months ????

    Interesting experiment. Looking forward to the results. However, stretched tires are a turn off.

    I understand this is in the name of science but any decent sealant/wax is a much better choice.

      I was thinking that. Most people do that for berliners before the Rhino liner and spray on truck beds. Or just use winter rims to save money and sanity

    Might try the WD40 on mine next winter. Got lucky down here on KY and had a mild winter. moving to Pittsburgh soon though. Totally different ball game with snow and salt up there....

    It worked. My question is what about the back of the wheel? Should you take the time to cover it as well or does it not matter???

      You can do it but since it usually does not have a finish on it it does not get seen as much as the outside face/barrel.

    Why mud terrains on a vehicle that will never leave the pavement? Just seems like such a waste when street tires would last longer, ride better, more quiet on the highway, and handle better.

      crazydogdude What's film fluid ?

    • @jerryhaveman5659
      @jerryhaveman5659 7 лет назад +1

      lb lewis fluid film is a vegetable based oil in spray can or gal can. farmers use it to protect bare metal from rusting over the winter. like augers and what not. as well as a million other uses. I use it on the under side of my dodge every fall. can be found at John Deere dealers. yellow can.
