Toyo fucked up when they didn't put the mt side wall on the rt because the rt is perfect and then the. Sidewall on it is a disgrace
I’ve always been hesitant of cheap tires. I bought a truck two years ago that had Atturo XT’s from the dealer and I’ll never go back. Rotating every 5k miles and I’ve had 0 issues with good tread wear. On par with my Nitto Terragrapplers and Toyo AT’s.
I had the baja atz p3 in a 305/65/17 for 2 years and daily drive them everyday on the highway for 30 minutes back and forth to work, only rotated 2 times since I bought them and they are the best damn tire iv ever used, did good at high speed in turns, good in dirt and mud and also good in rain.they wore so damn good too for only being rotated twice, they all wore evenly and tread lasted forever.
Got a set of Cooper ST/Maxx. 295/70/18. Love the tread pattern and the heavy duty sidewall.
I bought nitto ridge grapplers for my f250 diesel about 2 months ago. Couldn't be happier. They tried to sell me another tire, so glad I went with the RG
I’ve been running these Mickey T’s for the past few years. I’ve found them to be both capable off road and great on road.
CO these videos are awesome and extremely informative, love it!
Keep up the great work.
Thanks for posting. I love learning about all this shit for my truck. I just purchased a 2016-Ford-F150XLT-V8-SuperCrew which I'm Roush customizing with Ford. I had the truck tinted, lifted (6"Rough Country) & slapped 20" Fuel rims with 35x12.5 Courser MXT tires. To be honest im really happy with them. They barely make any tire noise & they look great. I was gonna go with the Baja-Micky Thomas tires but the guys at the Tire shop talked me out of them with these. IDK. These are my first big truck tire so idk much about them. I think I got a some nice tires but not 100% sure. Who knows. Maybe the guys made more money on the Courser over the Micky Thomson so that's the reason they pushed them on me. Again though. I'm happy. They ride really nice with really low noise.
I have the Mastercraft Courser MXTs on my Xterra. I've used them for about 20k miles and they are a bit less than 50% tread. After a LOT of hard off-road, they are very loud now. I am probably gonna switch to the Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3's afterwards. So I'm doing the opposite of you lol
Check the tread depth. That's why your measurements aren't matching up. The thicker the lugs, the "wider" they're going to measure because you're going down the side of the tread. Just measure the width of the lugs that would be touching the road surface. I'd be interested to see if it makes a difference.
Hey guys, absolutely love your videos!! I just got my new Nitto ridge grapplers 2 days ago and just love them. They are so smooth driving down the road! So happy I went with them. 35x12.50 17’s
Awesome! Since I've watched this I've done my own research... And those Nitto Ridgegrapplers are sweet and their going to look even better on my truck! Awesome! Thanks for the video!
falken wildpeak at3w's are what i have on my truck and for 35's they are about 1200 a set. i have them in 33's and have been pleasantly suprised with them.
You are out of your Faulken mind! I'm gettiong a set of General Grabber A/T X for $527 a set.
My 33" ridge graps are actually quieter then the 265/75 open country at2's i have on my other truck (06 2500hd chevys). Thanks for the info, wasnt aware of the hybrid class!
Your all terrains could have started cupping
They get a bit louder when that happens
Weigh the tires for future videos
You can google the weight of any tire
I was just wishing y'all would make this video and BOOM 2 hours later here it is!!!
great video! i could watch this shit all day...im sold on the hybrids and i like those Toyo R/T's or those Nitto ridge grappler's they both look fantastic..
totally appreciate you guys making these super informative video's for us to watch look forward to the next one..
Wish I knew about this shop before I moved up to Alaska... awesome videos extremely helpful!
Appreciate it!
Cant wait to get into your website more, absolutely love it. So much material to get lost in! Just bought a 16’ F150, soon as the wife approves definitely ordering wheels and tires. If you guys have any recommendations on wheels for a blue jeans color truck with the stock chrome trimming that would be awesome.
I have the TOYOS RT.. they're beautiful and my JKU drives smoothly!
I have 35/12.50/17 toyo r/t and I love them. Quiet and still can handle mud, sand, snow, and daily life
Tried the Nitto TG on my 2020 PW with 169 miles on the truck, but immediately Discount Tire had to replace one because it wouldn't balance. I made a 1200 mile trip the following weekend and after vibration issues, they replaced them with Toyo RT. The Toyo RT is smooth on the highway, great on the beach and just did a nice job in some big snow in Michigan. Mickey Thompson ATZ P3 is going on this summer along with Black Rhino 20x9.5 wheels. Looking forward to the Mickeys.
Excited for the next one
I ran Atturo at 295 70r18 load in dex 129q on my 2017 ram 2500 diesel. No problem on or off road in all condions. Sand, mud snow. Even out on the marshes in NE. I also haul a 9000 bls camper with no issues.
can you guys do a video on the atturo trail blade xt please
Ive got the nitro ridge grapplers and there an awesome tire.
I just got some ATZ P3. I previously had Kumho KL78 which in a 285/70R17 are moderately aggressive. As soon as i got to 50km/h on the P3's i realised i got the wrong tyres because they are noisy. But at least they are amazingly impressive in all other areas so far, but i have only had them a week. The Nitto Ridge Grapplers might be quieter and i wish i got those.
Might consider looking at hercules tg maxx tires, been a great all around hybrid tire in my opinion. Thanks for the videos
I got a set of Deegan 38 a/t's, nice set of treads.
Are they 33
I got MICKEY THOMPSON ATZ P3 275/65/20 (34") on my 2016 Silverado 4" lifted and man they look amazing! They are very quiete and ride smooth
Enemy Seven Six O I’d like to see a picture of your truck I’m trying to decide what size lift 4 or 6 I will be having 32 to 34 RT tires
Just ordered the Hybrid Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Can't wait for them to get here and really try them out
Loved them on the raptor! - Rainey
Listen ,I have been researching tires for about a year . Reading reviews and watching videos . They are expensive ,but i wanted the best HYBRID TIRES ,so i took a chance.......and they are awesome !!! Fit ,aggressive look ,and super quite . Exactly what I was looking for . NITTO RIDGE GRAPPLER
Great comparison! I am leaning towards the Atturo because I like my factory wheels on my Ram 2500 and a little less width on my stock 17 x 8 wheels will work better. I'm older and so is my truck. The stretch doesn't make much sense when you need to air down. I like the extra coverage and less likely to pop a bead. Thanks!
I just saw my 1st comment from 2 years ago...lol. Well, I guess being drawn to great reviews has drawn me back in for another viewing. See! Getting old has some funny side effects.
I was waiting for this video. Loving my RT's.
Doug Horne, have you run those in the snow yet? Thinking of getting them but havent seen alot of snow reviews
The Mickey's are amazing tires.
It's like you read my mind...been looking for a good A/T highway tire
You guys should do review on the Felken wild peak Atw3s. Shops all over are selling these a lot!! They are very cheap on a 20 inch wheel but they perform great!! I’ve had 2 sets and I have a few friends that put them on there 3/4 tons. They love them as well. Great hybrid
Great videos thanks for all the info
Just got my truck lifted and got the toyo rt 35 there nice 👍
Great vid and info I have the XT's on my gmc 1500 and I love them
i probably would have done the nitto exo grappler in place of the ridge grappler, but really goos in depth comparison. thx
I got a set of kenda klever rt and I love them look like a mud tire and ride like a all terrain been in mud dirt gravel and snow and haven’t had any problem getting out of any situation I bought my set which is 275/70r18 for about 800 bucks
I've had ridge grapplers for 3 months now with 12,000 miles and they are great tires
any snow experience?
What about Cooper ST Maxx or STT Pro
Since they don't know much about the Mickey Thompson p3 let me help. They are awesome!!! Run them on a 82 blazer. They aren't that loud, great road handling and never let me down on the trails. I will run them again.
Try the mtz or the TTC baja claws if u actually wheel ur rig ive ran all 3 on diffrent vehicles ( 2500 cummins a 01 grand cherokee wj an a 88 cherokee xj) an i love them all on an off road the ttc have the best traction ive ever seen an Mrs work amazing on everything in mud there awsome but not quite as good as the ttc
I have the Ridge Graplers and they are super quiet on the road, it's pretty amazing for that size of a tire. Great tires so far.
any snow experience?
@@ARXDMOS not yet, I live in Utah so I will be getting plenty of that next winter.
The Falken Mud and New General X3 are pretty good looking. The new Firestone Mud coming later this year doesn't look bad. I'm curious to see how they do in the market.
I tried a set of Mickey Thompson’s ATZ P3 on my 2015 Ford F-250 4 door 4x4 with the 6.7 diesel I put 95000 miles on them and they still had 4/32 tread on them rotated them every 15000 miles with no problem highly recommend them they did great on and off road
I wanna hear you thoughts on the freepasser mud tires.
I have the MT original ATZ's in a 33x13.50R20. I bought them new in March 2012 and will need to be replaced this year. They prob have close to 70-80,000mi on them. In the ride in part of the vid we're the tires 33 or 35's?
I’m assuming prices have really dropped in the last year because there’s no way the ATZ p3 cost almost 1500 just for a set of tires, Discount Tire has them for less than 900 before taxes.
He is probably in California where everything is Sky High
Can you do a video like this BUT for the AMP tire line MT AT and Hybrid ?
U can get most tires in the same size with multiple ply an load ratings i know my mickey Thompson mtzs ive had in the same size with 2 diffrent load an ply ratings because i had a set of 35x12.5 on 18 on my dodge 2500 an a set on my 2001 jeep grand cherokee WJ (also 35x12.5 on an 18)
Awesome thanks again
Nice job guys.
you guys going to be getting the new general
grabbers
The Kelly TSR probably started this segment and is my favorite. I guess they are not cool enough to get into some of these comparisons. I had two sets in a row that went over 70,000 miles and still had some tread left. i can't say that about anything else i have owned in the last 20 years of running offroad tires. That said i got a new truck and want to try something different. It is out of the ATZ or Toyo R/T. I think I am done with pure mud tires unless i start getting stuck.
Bad ass tire. Used to have a set
So what percentage of the atturos will have balance problems. I want to try them buy not if they are going to shake my ride constantly. I run 33 12.50 20 on fuel maveriks 12 wide. Do you think they are more on the side of balancing correctly or mostly not?
Idk but I fucking love my NITTO RIDGE GRAPPLER
I have information for the ATZ I have those tires and the ATZ has a little bit of noise and it's really good for off road because I was stuck and it grappled its way out
Can you cover highway use tires. Akin to the dura grappler? Thanks
I’m a little surprised that the Ridge Grappler doesn’t carry the mountain snowflake symbol; it’s got a lot of siping.
Today on shit you didn't know, the tire width as stated on the tire is not tread width but section width. Which is the ballooned portion of the sidewall.
Really been trying to decide between the BFG ko2 and the toyo rt on a leveled silverado 285/75/16 any opinions on preference would be nice
Good review! Which of these tires are good in the snow
I think u forgot to mention the Toyo RT has a different side wall desin look on the other side. So u can pick which one u want to show.
The Ridge Grapplers do
I dont have any pulling on my Jeep JL with 35s Toyo Rts maybe because i have steering stabilizer
I have the nitto ridge grapplers an absolutely love them there the best tire, quite on the highway an still look awesome too,get a pair of them you won't be disappointed.
Vetteman6363 mine should be coming in tomorrow I hope I like them !!!!
Vetteman6363 running 295 60 trail grapplers, ridge grapplers next
But do they work good in the mud?
I ordered four I figured "a pair" wouldn't be enough 😉 sorry sorry but ya ridge grapplers are sick
Alex West no they are an all terrain tire not meant for mud.
I run the Mickey Thompson Baja atz p3 37's on my ram 1500 with 6 inch lift . Love them , not loud, I get lots of compliments on them especially the tread pattern . I Learned about that tire from rocky ridge trucks they do a lot of trucks for dealerships. If you go on sherry 4x4 they talk highly of those tires . Check it out . I love mine !
CarpetMan what size wheels are you running?
What would you guys recommend for a decent long lasting tire that gets some decent milage ?
Just a little FYI I have the 35/12.5/20 f ridge grapplers and they are a 10ply tire but rated as a 12 ply
I also like you can run up to 80psi in them unlike the others
Aaron 5843 I am looking at those for my 15 ram how is the rid and is there any road noise?
Do y'all get a lot of Interco Super Swampers or anything like that? I feel like those are going out of style
That's the problem it's all about how they look and not a good mixture on how they perform and look.
wish my 35x13.50 x20 Toyo rt's would Ballance as good as the ones you have . I bought mine from custom offsets last year mounted and balanced on a set of 20x12 -44 hostile knuckles and then I have Ballance mine 3times and replaced 2 out of 4 bad tpms and sent them out and had the road force balancing done and they have always been shakers . it's bad enough to make your drinks go flat in the center console on a 20mile trip on a 2014 z71 ltz . I definitely won't buy another set when these are ready to be replaced . they are way out of round . is this a issue on all Toyo tires or just the rt ? I bought rt because they were supposed to be smoother but all my buds with mts are as smooth and some are smoother than mine . I'm gonna do a 3in body lift and try some 40s before to much longer but what is the best tire to buy as far as being smooth and not shaking your 50k truck to peices ?
Didn't even mention the 2 different sidewalls to choose from on the Nittos!!?!?
You're fired Sean!
"Andddd! You can also choose from 1 of 2 different sidewall designs! Check them out here!😄"
bit.ly/2IPxTlR
Nice video! I like it
33x11.5x20 ridge grapplers or Toto RT if they have the same size
Dodge Ram 1500
Any issues with the Atturo XT's on 1/2 tons?
Looking to put 35x12.50r18s on 18x9 -12 offset on my 2011 F150
Nitto RG baby!
you guys need to make one of these videos for the AT all terrian tires
thatd be cool to watch,, what tires would you want to see? id like to see the General grabber AT2 and the nitto terra grappler AT,,maybe the Toyo AT2's
Alejandro Castro a/t's are the worst. They suck off road, they suck on road, and they're milage are comparable to m/t
95 XJ you obviously haven't had a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers G1. Remember A/T tires are not M/T. They are designed to be a more agressive highway.
Ron Hood that was my point, they're not good on or off road.
I haven't had a problem with them I drive mainly highway. I am thinking about the new Ridge Grapplers because they are even more aggressive and have the same mileage warranty.
Do a video like this on all terrain tires.
What do you all think of the Goodyear dura trac? I believe it considered a hybrid tire.
Heres what we think of the Duratracs!
ruclips.net/video/9gKz0jdEjFQ/видео.html
I had those atturos they were real nice.
Kb custom designs so were mine
motownautospa Haha ironic. I changed my mind completely. One blew out on the freeway.
i have a 2016 ram 1500 with a 3.5 inch lift i want 35's if i have to i will also put a 3 inch body lift but if i do that i want 37's what will work for my truck
I think the hybrid might be my new tires
eddieandana4ever check into the Baja atz p3 I have 37,s and love them .
Wheel guards? Duratracs?
What about the recons? Not sure if I'm crazy about the angular look. What do yall think?
I've been to four tire/offroad stores here on SoCal searching for tires and not a single on of them have heard of these hybrid tires. when I explained the concept of the lug width difference, they told me that I was talking about either muds or all-terrains. Any suggestions? They either sell me on their house brands, or the Nittos/Toyos. I'm still searching for options for my 265/75/R17s on my F150 4x4
We offer free shipping! Check out the Nitto Ridge Grapplers! We offer them in a 265/70/R17 and they are a great all around hybrid tire!
www.customwheeloffset.com/buy-wheel-offset2/217100/nitto-ridge-grappler-lt265-70r17-tires
But how good are they for drifting?
every 3000 miles, or oil change, I change my oil at 10,000 miles because I use Amsoil XL. looks like I'll have to make a log to rotate my 5 tires
I've personally run the mickeys in sand, med, snow, and plenty of highway the they were phenomenal! I was extremely impressed with the deep mud performance, they took me places my buddies with mtz's that were taller couldn't go! Plus 50k miles and weren't bald yet.
The Atturo looks like a lawn tractor turf tire. It would do well on a golf course but not much else.
I chose the grabber at2, which I know isn't a hybrid, but it's an awesome tire, I ran them before and was very impressed so decided to get them again, I considered the ridge grappler, but the price was a lot better on the grabbers, and I already know how they preform, i mainly stuck with the grabbers because they do amazing in snow from my experience.
295/65/20 is the size to go with it's over a 35x11.75 in the nitto its weight rating is more as a 10 ply than the 12 ply 35/12.5 version
Who would dislike this? ... Good informative video. Keep it up.
Thanks for the love!🤙
If i wanted a good all terrain tire, I would run the nitto ridge grappler. I have heard a lot of good things about them. But its NOT a mud tire by any means.
Toyo rt's are the shit
Not for winter I've had a set and they do not do well in snow. With that said I just bought a set of falken wildpeaks amazing
During the driving portion he said the side lugs pull all over the road... 🤣🤣🤣 the side lugs aren’t even touching the road!
Drew w true buuuuuut technically that all depends on tire pressure. But in this case you are right
I really want the Blade XT but have heard a lot of issues with balancing. in your video you said you were going to make a video explaining this. what's the name of the video??
Is it this one SB?ruclips.net/video/kkzQ69u8I4o/видео.html
On the test drive he says the tyres are pulling side to side. Looks like he is running a very non stock offset. Thats the problem.
New subscriber here. Liking your videos a lot so far. I was curious about the weight of the F load rated Nitto ridge grappler compared to the other E load hybrids? Not the load rating, but the actual weight of the tire.
Me, I mean...How much heavier is the ridge grappler compared to the other hybrids in this video?...
They're all comparable to each other. the F load will be a little heavier due to having a higher ply count!
4 months later but I’ll add my 2 cents. I just ordered a set of Toyo Open Country RT’s in 305/55R20LT which is now also offered in a F-rated tire. 12-ply also.
Get this, the size I ordered, in a F load rating, weighs 2 lbs LESS than the same size Toyo OC RT in an E-rated tire.
Now its 2 years later from your review. I am looking at the Atturo trail blade XT 255/55/19 as its the only mud tire that will fit the Land Rover LR4 OEM 19 inch wheels. How would you now rate the tyre? What tips can you give. I will be giving up my winter and summer tyre sets to fit 9 tyres. I am traveling to the US to get them to save $700 in shipping and another 25% in exchange rate and bond. How do you feel the rubber compound would deal with -30C? checking them out in pictures i do not see the 3 peak winter mark are they 3 peak rated?
Send an email to sales@customoffsets.com and they will be able to help you out in finding the best tire for you!
how about a 1/2 ton 4x sierra
